Our two main laws, criminal code and penal code only recognize rape when there is unlawful sexual intercourse, ie penetration of the vagina with penis.

Well, I beg to differ on this! In my church, you drop off your kids officially by taking tallies for each kid (according to age). While some parents drop their children at the point of registration and tallies, my husband and I take the extra step of ensuring our children sit in their different classes. If a child is going to the toilet (right by the entrance), an adult MUST guide him or her, ensure they enter and exit because the children are under the care of the teachers 100% till their parents exchange tallies for the children! That is why it requires passion and dedication to take care of children. Times have changed and we must all step up our game!

I can proudly tell you that I was one of the few people who supported and defended her action here on nairaland. Some dudes here even picked up on me for seeing the incident from her perceptive. Kids need to be protected from bullies.

I don't joke with complaints like that. I complained twice against two proprietors of two different schools my girl attended at different periods. One beat her, like two beatings in a day. A kid for that matter! The other one in her current school who knew me personally gave her punishment that was beyond her age and the punishment gave her pain in the thighs area for days. I wouldn't take action only if my kids didn't report.
The only problem is that they confided in their grandma more than us the parents despite the fact that they knew I would be there for them and cause problem for the perpetrator.

Let's not be too sentimental about this. It's just too sad that a child got missing in the man's church, but did he take the child?
