I wonder what our law makers have contributed to the development of our dear nation to deserve these barbaric reward called salary.

My mum's shop was almost demolished yesterday at ojuelegba, the government representatives responded to arguments that the structure wasn't an obstruction or illegal structure, though its an attachment, but in no way does it affect either traffic or pedestrians.

I just wish those blaming the governor could have the opportunity of leading a state like lagos. I dont know how to plan for such.

The government cannot be responsible for all our mistakes and illegal acts. These people knew they were doing business at wrong venues, so why should government relocate an illegal market.

My relative was affected too, so this is the sacrifice we must all pay.

Have you seen people selling markets on pedestrian bridges, should they be relocated too ?

I am sorry if anyone's means of living was coming from the affected area(s), but the fact still remains that we can't get anywhere if we keep politicing our future. It is also a fact that someone has to GIVE ( i.e. sacrifice) for us to leave something for our children ( both born and unborn) because our leaders had eaten the present (2day).

Sometimes i wonder if it was God that developed Europe, Asia and America, but the turn around in GHANA took away my imaginaton.

Governments in the past had made alternatives but our people will not go there even if you give out the shops free. I am sure if you go around Lagos you will find similar markets built by the govt but are now empty.

How do we now develop when the government must provide everything for people that are not prepared to give anything.

These guys are busy and working hard to defraud innocent people of their hard earned money.
Please be careful when you see a mail from anyone OR even a bank asking you to either UPDATE or FILL any information.
If you are smart enough, you will see their flaws or short comings that would easily suggest that the e mail is a SCAM.

I also got one claiming to have come from GTB( Guarrantee trust bank)
There was a difference in the way the G is written by the bank and the scammers.

It is difficult to say this is what i am going to do about it, I belive God will help me through. Although it is difficult to start all over again but it is also not worth the stress and trauma that may befall us should we be hopefull.

A doctor even told me that we can do a test at the early stage of pregnancy to determine the status of the baby, so that we can get rid of an S.S., but i dont think i can be that hearthless to kill an innocent soul out my own making.

I think i will walk away eventually despite the feelings and emotions all over me.

Guys i don't know how to handle this situation, its just like i have built a home and painfully i will just let go of it. This is a very tough moment for both of us.

I think the awareness about why a woman could give birth to an albino is very low. I posted this thread after a discussion in my office where i discovered that even among the learned one, most did not understand why a woman could give birth to an albino.
It was only 5% of my entire work force that understands that it is not the fault of a woman to give birth to albino.

I don't know why people should thiink that one has a spiritual problem if he/she can't secure a job. I think the situation here is not different from what people face in our society today.

when i saw the ad. in the newspaper last week i almost wept for my brothers and sisiters searching for jobs and cannot afford the modern slavery charges they are asking for.

I wonder why the bank is not ready to bear such cost even if the recruitment firm insist on registration fee before anyone can apply. I could remember the first bank test at UNILAG conducted by a consulting firm, i did not pay a dine for writing the test in 2006 and 2007 both of which i passed comfortably.

What can we do in a situation like this, one has to do what one needs to do. If anyone can get this money from a friend or relative,please let us be a part of the process as the fee might just the cost we need to pay to make our dreams come through.

There is nothing like a special venue or any exam.The programme is to empower new ACAs and prepare them for the competetive market, this is neccessary because some chartered accountants were not able to secure employment because they did not have competence in the area of I.T.

This is the first time ICAN will organise the programme, it was waved for the last inductees probably because of logistics and other reasons best known to the institute. The programme will cover the following modules :

Module 1: Computer fundamentals to include hands on practical on windows, MS words, Excel & Power point
Module 2: Use of accounting Packages
Module 3: Use of audit softwares
Module 4: Proffessional technology competence


The programme will not be handled by ICAN, it will be outsourced to Private I.T. firms around major cities in the countriy.
