Yeah.I won't wanna waste my time, but from your response,I presume you kinda wanna learn and engage intelligently unlike most arrogant atheists who ends up insulting people when they are connered.

So...
Big bang was discovered in 1920 by a Belgian scientist. Also not long scientist found out that 80% of the cell unit is made up of water.
Well 1,500 years,an illiterate Arab got a revelation.See below:

[Quran 21.30] Do not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the Earth were meshed together then We ripped them apart? And then We made of water everything living? Would they still not believe?

Following this big explosion, Allah "turned to the sky, and it had been (as) smoke. He said to it and to the earth: 'Come together, willingly or unwillingly.' They said: 'We come (together) in willing obedience" Quran(41:11).

Thus the elements and what was to become the planets and stars began to cool, come together, and form into shape, following the natural laws that Allah established in the universe.

The Qur'an further states that Allah created the sun, the moon, and the planets, each with their own individual courses or orbits as thus below:

"It is He Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon; all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course" Quran (21:33).

First of all, I'm not an Atheist

Secondly, I don't believe in Islam so you can't give me quotes from Koran as prove of God's existence. I'm sure even the Christian folks will disagree with you because you are not explaining your point from the Bible

So you see, Christians have their own version just like Islam and other religions. All of them claim to be right.

I need generally accepted and verified truths, not just beliefs from years of indoctrination into a particular religion

That same book revel to us that earth is round when science said that earth is flat. Science later confirm that earth is round

If you read the bible very well you find out that science confirms the knowledge revelled in the the bible.
Know one has being able to disprove any knowledge or history documented in that great book called bible.
The fact the science has fell to explain how spam and egg form a living being in a womb, shows that religion is superior to science.

Science solves verifiable problems, religion only gives hope

Science does not assume to be perfect unlike religion

I prefer science to religion anyday anytime

Science has explained how egg and sperm combine to form a living being. You can choose to believe the Bible or science. It's your right Sir

Self evident truth is something that's universal and untaught. So the idea of a book is off it.

No one needs to tell you there's a creator and you only start to incline towards atheism or agnotism when you step into school or read some books.

Saying there's no creator is bizarre and of similitude to saying the person that released your sperm into your mum isn't your father and you're now telling me to proof he his.

Who's suppose to prove?

And in addition being religious give me more
purpose than being an atheist. An atheist will say his purpose is to make live better and what happens when he's unable to fulfil that? While I have this same purpose with you mine is still more ultimate since I believe in judgement.

Lack of ultimate purpose accounts for the reason for more suicide among irreligious people than the religious.

First of all, I'm not an Atheist and I don't accept their view on the creation story just like I don't accept that of the Bible.

You feel fulfilled being religious, what if the Atheists also feel fulfilled being what they are?

I can choose not to believe anything unverifiable about the creation story, can't I also be fulfilled?

We all have rights to our beliefs and it's constitutional. Christians should stop feeling superior to others in terms of beliefs. They are not different.

Make a thorough research like I did. Just think of it, can those discoveries exist without a maker?

Yes

They could have just existed by themselves

My opinion may sound ridiculous but that's also how ridiculous the Biblical creation story sounds

When paying is no longer an issue, you don't even mind who paid last or not...

It's still important that the other party (not paying) be conscious.

Personally, I won't feel happy that I keep paying while my partner does not reciprocate

Is it by force to be an Atheist?

It's just like saying, "I'm a Christian" when you see me preaching, even when I say I'm not.

Na wa o

I'm not an Atheist. I'm an unbeliever (whatever that means)

Normally a man does not have to say it in advance because most SANE women will know the script... and it's a very simple script:
You both go out to have some dinner, each eat what they CAN AFFORD. when the check comes, you "both" reach for your wallet to pay your own share, and if you had a great time, the man or the woman will offer to pay the whole bill. If you DIDNT have a great time, then you will indeed pay your share while you let the other person pay theirs.when paying for the meal becomes a "requirement" for dating, then the whole dating experience is flawed.

Yeah, that's how it should be

I also think it is appropriate that the other party tries to pay next time if one party pays

The Holy Bible is a true living book inspired by the 3rd person in the Trinity. A lot of people misunderstand portions of it because they want to interpret it with the limitations of human intellect, including some of us, the brethren.

If you do in depth study and research of Genesis by men guided by the Bible's author, you will realize that a lot happened and many years passed between Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. and Genesis 1:2. May God grant us grace know Him more.

Your fellow Christians need to see this your post coz some of them are always screaming foul when they see these kinds of posts

He's not the one to give the proof, you're the one too.

When you talk against a self evident truth then the onus of proof is on you.

What is "self-evident proof" here?

No one has been able to give any proof on the existence of a Supreme Being. Science has not neither has religion.

So religious folks should not be parading what is written in their religious books as generally accepted truths

My dear, religion worships the source of these discoveries. Whatever the source is, Religions especially the organized ones, worship it.

Human problems you refer to are mostly human made and they are endless. Religion especially Christianity and the Yogic Traditions teaches that there is more to the existence that meets the eyes. Another dimension of life exists higher than that empiricism makes us believe. Science has done super no doubt.

...but some religions, example Christianity, claim to have solutions to all problems through the Bible. That's why I brought the comparison

It seems you don't understand what both science and religion is all about. If you do, you won't compare both, you would have known they are two different things entirely.

Religion links you to the creator of those discoveries, the undiscoverable and the giver of the brains and skills used in making scientific missions possible!

And what does the creator look like since you know so much about it?

The bolded proofs my earlier point. You don't even know what you stand for or what purpose your life serves. Even a goat knows(it's purpose) from observation that it will end up as Isiewu.

I don't stand for anything as far as beliefs is concerned. Anyone that can convince me gets me.

Abeg don't I have the constitutional right not to stand for anything? I'm I committing any crime?

It was the Almighty God who created the Universe and the entire creatures in it.He gave man the knowledge of the science to explore the universe to see his mighty creations as signs.

"And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the living creatures that He has scattered through them: and He has power to gather them together when He wills". {Quran 42:29}

What they met on ground!
Matter, Energy, Life etc. These are the things scientists met on ground.

Some scientist claim that everything came from nothing
while
Other scientists acclaim the origin of everything as God
hence:
Science bothers about understanding and explaining what God had created!
Christianity bothers about man and his relationship with other men according to the will of God the creator!

My point is that both the scientists that believe that the origin of everything is God or that everything came from nothing, are just making claims. None has verifiable proves.

It's not clear because you lack the knowledge of the terms used. The post is esoteric, which should be discerned by users who are used to the terms.

"All women are like that" is an esoteric term with the acronym AWALT.. It's just like saying PDP is a useless party. Unless you are completely ignorant of the Nigerian political system, you wouldn't be caught off guard.

Being regulars of this section, you are supposed to understand that when AWALT is used whether as acronym or in full, women nature is being referred to, that's if you even understand what that is.

That's why I said it's specifically directed at a particular audience, not at every Tom, Dick and Harry.

Anyway, Silver or Gold I do not have.

And you assume that everyone that visits this section. should just understand what "AWALT" is about? Don't you think new people visit this section from time to time?

By the way, is there anything like "women nature"? I think people behave differently whether men or women depending on many factors.

If you don't know, how come you referenced creationists?

A Scientist can be a Christian just liek a Christian can be a Scientist. It is erroneous to see a mutual exclusion of Christianity and Science.

Science bothers about understanding and explaining what God had created!
Christianity bothers about man and his relationship with other men according to the will of God the creator!

There is no conflict in the fundamentals!

"What God has created"? You mean that's always their aim of doing research?
