Self evident truth is something that's universal and untaught. So the idea of a book is off it.

No one needs to tell you there's a creator and you only start to incline towards atheism or agnotism when you step into school or read some books.

Human problems you refer to are mostly human made and they are endless. Religion especially Christianity and the Yogic Traditions teaches that there is more to the existence that meets the eyes.
