Thank you for this. I thought it was from my phone, even checked the brightness level to be sure. The brightness is killing me, no shades on the website. Really bad combination of colors! |
OlaFash91:Alright. It's better that way. If you don't get a positive reply, summon courage and visit the Embassy. Who knows?…something might just happen. But I'm positive your passport should be at the VAC by Wednesday. |
OlaFash91:If you live in the city where the VAC is located, I suggest you visit the VAC first. |
joyivro:Hello. Any news yet? I read from an Immigration forum about visiting the British Embassy in the country since passports are dispatched to the VACs from there. In this case, the applicant visited the Embassy in Abuja because he applied there and the result was positive after two hours. You could give it a try. |
Phunmmiee:Please, remove this nonsense. Some of us don't work for nairaland that should make us online 24/7. |
joyivro:Whoa! If you live in Lagos, maybe you should visit the VAC to check. I'm still waiting, did biometrics on Aug 30. What is happening really? I don't understand. Priority service users receive theirs immediately the decision is made, so why should it be different for standard service? I'm beginning to think this TLS VACs are somewhat unreliable. |
Please, what were you told when you called them? When did you do your biometrics? joyivro: |
Hello. Please, was the reason for the delay mentioned to you? Could you share the UKVI number you called? Thank you. chucksbadt: |
Shoodboi:It means oily soup. ie food that contains too much oil. |

You can build a successful career as a sales man but can't say same for teaching except teaching is a passion for you. As a sales rep, depending on the industry, you can work towards being a sales manager, then higher up to an area sales man, then further towards being a regional sales manager, etc.…it goes higher and higher. Teaching is different, you need the right qualifications, experience and passion (most importantly) to get you to the top positions. |
Horlartunes:None of these courses you mentioned beats Computer Science in this modern age. If you have Math problems, I'd suggest you find someone that understands it better than you to put you through. Try and find the motivation that led to apply for the course in the first place, let it lead you to the finishing line. If you still insist on switching, then find out from your school how departmental or faculty transfers work. Each school has its requirement, fee and process. All the best. |
Are NLers this dumb? The post clearly stated a 'Nigerien' i.e. someone from Niger (Republic). BrainSanitizer: |

hectorswag:I don't really know much but I can help with any questions you might have. |
Stargurl20:Set a target for your result and bring your mind towards achieving it. Take sometime off social media. You should also take a walk to classroom or reading rooms and observe those reading. Think of something that triggers your motivation: family, disappointments, friends, wanting to be the best and most importantly getting a job after school-you need good grades first. |
coolcentbigman:Oh please! The job is hers already. No need to fret! |
coolcentbigman:There's no option than to pay the money as FSLC is usually issued by the state where primary education was completed. She should go with the other documents and submit them first and explain the FSLC situation to them -she moved from Lagos and was unable to get it but has contacted the school and it will be arriving the next day. She should resubmit all the documents again including the FSLC certificate immediately she gets it. Who knows? There's nothing God cannot do, right? |
MaCollins1:Wow! You're good to go! Applications for PTDF scholarship starts around December, be on the look out! You should also try Commonwealth shared scholarship next year: go through the requirements for previous application and prepare your application before hand (the courses may differ next year but are still within the same faculty). Federal government is the nominating agency for Commonwealth scholarship (this is different from Commonwealth shared scholarship where UK universities are the nominating agency. You would have gained admission before your application will be considered) and I doubt the credibility of the process as there were always negative feedbacks from candidates that participated in the interview process but I wouldn't want to discourage you. You should try it too, usually opens between December to February of the succeeding year. |
kristlike:Probably, when you are applying for visa but for now, no. Just focus on getting a supervisor that will accept you, although, you need money for an application fee when you must have gotten a supervisor. The application fee is usually CAD100 and you'll also take care of your flight ticket should you be admitted. There are other scholarships you can try out: Australian Research Training Program-it's a fully funded research scholarship, Chinese Government scholarship, Korean Government scholarship: all these scholarships are awarded to a large number each year. |
pierre92:Thank you |
MaCollins1:No dear. Got advice from friends who are there and also did my research. |
For schools in Canada; almost all the masters by research programs are fully funded, though much work lies in getting a supervisor. If you'll be going for a masters by coursework, then forget scholarship or any form of funding as most of the programs are hardly funded. So, if you want to continue your studies in Canada; -decide on an area of research -Google a good number of Canadian schools -find a supervisor that shares the same research interests as you -contact the supervisor It's not easy finding a supervisor but you have to keep sending those mails to as many as you can come across. Good luck. You can also try other scholarships like chevening, Commonwealth, Commonwealth shared, PTDF, etc. Though these scholarships are competitive, they are not unobtainable. You just need to package your applications with awards, publications, etc. |
Hello people. Please, does anyone have kaplan’s New GRE Premiere? |
Skillset11:Hello Skillset11. My sister will be graduating by next year. She's currently studying Psychology in a Nigerian university and on first class. I'd like her to go straight for PhD on full funding, would that be possible? What are the prospects of a Psychologist in the US? |
