Though these questions don get answers many times here but make I try small sha.
- Open account with a stock broker first, me I'll recommend Morgan Capital for starters like you.
- You can start with as much fund as available but minimum 10k is okay. I learnt you can open for free anyway.
- For info on what to buy, you may keep following this thread and ask questions from the TA, FA and GA tishas from time to time.
- Don't just buy because someone says buy but you may ask why such stock is a good buy at that point in time.
- Endeavour to read books, journals and handouts too.
- We are entering bonanza period, don't jump into any stock for now.
- Next in line, arduino take over please. grin
- By the time it's getting close to Prof's turn, get an encyclopedia and advance dictionaries ready beside you. grin

cheesy @ informed counsel.

I will just give you guys an overview of what to expect.

It's an all-day event, 8 - 6 (or depending on when you finish). It consists of 3 activities; Presentation, Team-building and Panel interview.
I will advise you to make google your best friend. Read articles on presentation and working in a team.

Presentation.
From the attached document you received, they must have included the content of your presentation. Make sure you prepare your powerpoint professionally and error free. You are to present for 5 minutes, try and practice for 4 minutes in case you want to chip in some points on d D-day.

They will ask you questions after the presentation. The question will be from what you presented, that is, your slides and the basics of your course.

basics of your course:
For a chemical engineer, you should know your laws of thermo, definition of heat, work, energy, (system, surrounding)
, reaction engineering, chemical reaction, fluid mechanics, reynolds no., units (Joules, watt) dimensionless (mach no., Re. no), unit operations etc. Na wetin I fit remember be that. Learn the basics.
Also know the graph of sinx and cosx.

Team building
The purpose of TB is to see how you will perform in a group. It doesn't necessarily mean winning the task but your participation, leadership, delegation, creativity and some other criteria will be assessed.

Interview
My interview questions were on my CV, Y halliB, Y I chose Chemical eng'g, I rated myself on PDMS and caesar II software. We gisted all through for about 20 mins about my family, classmates (especially guys) in school, countries I've been to, the department I want to work (they call it PSL - product and service line) e.t.c
I also asked them a question.

That's all for now.

Incase I have any other thing to add to it, I will do it later. You can also drop your questions.

Success.

Hello. Please, may I send you a private message? I'd really appreciate your reply. Thank you.

Chemical engineering.

For Chemical Engineering, most people go for ChemCAD, PDMS and sometimes, ASPEN Hysys for oil and gas. Some may even go ahead to take courses on HSE. But in a country like Nigeria with fewer industries, these courses are less valued. You can easily find job opportunities in Instrumentation or Electrical field and there are courses and trainings for them…you can find such training institutes online.

ExposedWicked:

I need an advice on something....

I know i shouldn't be doing this online. Please all your words will be well appreciated.

I met this guy in school. He was an old friend and we lost contact for over five years now. Though we didn't relate well then, we were non the less pals...

We met few days ago. I was trekking down home from my school campus when he horned me. I turned and saw a sparkling beautiful car . The driver turned down the windscreen and there "bam", fejiro, my old guy was there. I was surprised to see him in such state since i expected him to be in 300level now.

We talked and exchange contacts. I was happy for him. I WhatsApp him later on but he didn't reply. maybe he was busy then.

The school is trending with young guys with fly luxury. So i thought to myself, i should ask him the secret...

We finally met again and he talked about how he spent millions in buying houses and cars.. How he bought 8cars over the last 3 years. So i asked him the secret but he didn't say anything of value. He just said, "na God o".

Fejiro was a God fearing gentleman few years ago. I know people do change yet it sounds almost impossible to assume fejiro robbed someone to gain his ground...

I don't feel intimidated at all. I just don't know why. Am just happy for him even without knowing why. I am still pressing on to know the secret through...

Finally, have had enough been broke... I can't even afford to eat 2 times a day and a guy is spending millions on girls....

I don't even know what bothering me now... I just need encouragement ...

'He was Godfearing, now he spends money on girls' Isn't it obvious that this isn't the Tejiro that you use to know? He keeps telling you Na God coz he has nothing to say, no source of income, nothing. My dear, don't kill yourself, his response alone shows that the source of income isn't pure, otherwise, it won't be difficult for him to say 'oh! I'm now into this, patronize me' or 'I now work with this company, God made it happen'

You're supposed to have written some aptitude tests by now to get use to the questions and processes. If you wait after service, you might get frustrated. If you have money for masters, you can go for it while applying to jobs.
Education / Re: Should I Quit Or Continue? by ggoldmine: 8:02pm On Aug 16, 2018
It's not possible to switch without rewriting JAMB. And 'no', Edu Admin has no tangible value I know of.(sorry for being so outright). But you can manage and graduate from school, then opt for mass comm if that's really your passion or try a course transfer to mass comm in your present school…I think that should work if you made good grades in your previous year and em… oh, you should have the money for that!

Which of the terms do you get confused about?

I see terms like trade, deals, volume, equity, gain, loss, I don't really know the whole concept of these terms. Is equity market same thing as capital market? I understand the share term but how do they calculate loss and gain? Is it based on the what the company sold that day,I.e. for FMCGs or for banks; what customers deposited into the bank? I really don't understand how the stock market works.

It's really been tough getting a job,am a honest and fast learner.
I am a computer literate and can work with basic computer applications and very good at using the internet for research purposes.
I need a job, been applying online but no positive feedback.
I need a miracle in the House I know someone can help.
Any opportunities you can what's me 08022497981

Accounting has the highest number of job opportunities, all you have to do is develop your skills. There are some accounting softwares you could learn; sage 50, Quick book, etc. You can also pursue a professional qualification like ICAN, ACCA, etc. After all said and done, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to get a good job, even without an experience.
