Career / Re: Do I Need To Quit My Job ? by ggoldmine: 12:17pm On Apr 01, 2021 |
What you need is good money management skill. Some earn less and still live just okay. Let me help with some calculations. Using the figures you gave as basis: Yearly income: #85,000 *12 = #1,020,000 Yearly rent: #140,000 Balance: #880,000 Net weekly earnings: #880,000/52 =~ #16,900 Or Net monthly earnings: #73,300 You can create a monthly budget around this amount. Consider buying food items in bulk monthly, not in bits. This shouldn't cost more than #40,000 for a decent family. Create a separate account for expenses if you can: this will include monthly rent which is approx. #11,700 and cumulative weekly or monthly expenditures (all subtracted from your salary) Seriously, I really don't understand how you feel comfortable living on debts when you can easily plan your life around your earnings. If you're considering being a driver, I'll suggest you take driving lessons while doing your current job. Driving is not that difficult. In addition, I'm not completely in support of you quitting your job, purchasing a car on debt and being a driver. How can you manage debt accrued from running a business with inconsistent income when you haven't been able to manage debt from a recurring income? I'll advise you to think it through. What payback plans have you set in place for your debt? How much will you earn in a month from your driving business (subtracting car expenses like fueling, repairs and maintenance)? Is this earning from your business consistent? I see a huge turn around for you if you learn how to create budgets and spend within your budget using your salary earnings. You could even save towards a buying a car, then do driving part time. Alternatively, you can seek a high-paying job. confirmedniggae: 2 Likes |

Hello good people. Is Zenith paying or has already paid Interim dividend? I just received an alert and can't tell which is it for, whether last year or this year. I'm quite confused because I bought the shares last year and this is the first dividend I've received. Thank you. |

For Morgan Capital, it is always present on the sales or purchase contract note for every stock bought or sold. So, I think you should request from your broker. r4blessing: |

Why didn't you solicit on this platform, in the first place? The fact that you made it private is questionable. Not just private but also targeted those who have exposed a sizable amount of their investment portfolio here. LordAdam16: 13 Likes |

Family / Re: My Brother's Marriage Is About To Collapse. by ggoldmine: 11:19pm On Jan 20, 2021 |
His wife did not turn his children against him, they were able to sense their father's weakness. Your brother lacks audacity, evident in the way his wife controls his demands. He needs to get back in control; not to be mean but spend more time with his children (physically or over the phone), be present in their lives (also communicate the state of his business to them, they might understand), punish them for any form of disobedience and finally, ignore his wife. He needs mental reorientation or he's going to loose it. omojesu202: 1 Like |

Education / Re: Studying Or Learning Handiwork, Which Is Better. Pls Help A 20year Old. by ggoldmine: 11:15am On Nov 30, 2020 |
What difference does learning a skill now make since you'll have to go to school anyway? It only means that you'll have to shuffle your timeline; study now, learn skills later. He's also agreed to pay you as a gatekeeper whilst studying. You'll still need a job if you decide to learn a skill first because you won't be paid for learning a skill. If you're thinking of learning a skill while working as a gatekeeper, would your sponsor be willing to wait or finance your skills? I don't think so. You mentioned he's sponsored individuals through higher education not learning skills. How bad is your WAEC/SSCE? You don't need a perfect result to gain admission into a polytechnic. roldet804: 1 Like |
