Pray never to be with a wrong partner. A lot of people marry wrong spouse for different reasons- and No- I do not share the school of thought that forces advice down a throat- i admire logic a lot - I need Op to be logical- it's the best tool for better understanding of a situation.

If you ask me, i would say Op's wife has those great qualities or he wouldn't have married her but someone needs to remind him and have him reevaluate his steps and life in general. Don't tell a man to go back to his wife because she's the wife but remind a man those qualities that makes the wife who she is.

You also talked about the general saying "for better or worse" That ideology works when both partners share mutual ideas- Will you allow your sister remain in her husband's house if you found out he is a ritualist or an armed robber?

A pastor once said that there is no way, 10 friends can be together for 10 years and that is true. So there fore its time for you to move on because you guys don't move in the same circles anymore. The truth of the matter is that you guys share nothing in common and if you must admit it truthfully, deep down in your inner recesses you despise or is very jealous of his success(deep down in your mind), this does not mean you are a bad person, it just shows you are human.

So a couple of questions:

You want you guys to return to your pre-adult days again?

You want him to show you more respect?

You can not force yourself on a friend and its time you swallow your manly pride/ego and let go of him, friendship comes Naturally.

I have good childhood friends, some helped me a lot even up to my University level, and some actually gave me clothes to wear while growing up as i grew up lacking. But today, we really don't talk. Except for an occasional FB hi, we all have moved on to different phases and stages in our lives. We are not close today not because we all made something out of our live's, we all just drifted apart without any hard feelings.

Lastly, pray for your success and your friends success too and let him be.

I would expect her to still be in shock or grieving heavily. I would expect her to be under constant supervision by relatives and friends. I don't expect her to even think of Facebook or Twitter right now..

He told me that what made him decide to marry her was that at one point, they had a conversation and he said without much seriousness that customarily, a wife kneels to greet her husband in the morning(i'm not yoruba so i don't know) the next time he visited, she knelt by his feet and greeted "eku aro" with an atrocious accent (she searched for the yoruba word for good morning) He was astonished! Just decided to share this.

I'm 30. She's 29. But she will be 30 in February. And I 31 again in August. Just six months difference. Aug 19 and Feb 19. We have a daughter already. We were in 100level together. I finished before her cos she did Medicine. We never met for once in school. I studied Engineering. Perhaps we met unnoticed in 100level.
