Age of consent in Nigeria is not more than 18 years. People have freedom to seek happiness within the confine of the law of the land. Sanusi is not the first and will not be the last. As long as the law of the land has not been broken we should wish people goodluck when they seek happiness. |
This is utter rubbish! The laws are simply clear on how to punish those who misuse the right to freedom enjoyed by every Nigerian as enshrined in our constitution. Firstly the offenses of freedom abusers must be be identified, then charged to court immediately. Our law specifies no Nigerian should be held for more than three days for any alleged infraction for more than three days without being arraigned before the court. The police should be telling us the charges against this blogger and when he will be charged to court. Governors, not even the President, are not empowered by law to arrest any free citizens for allegations. Fayose has been pouring venom and putting-up distorted adverts on Mr. President in the last months but the President in-spite of his enormous powers has not taken much interests in his despicable acts. El-Rufai had an exception to a publication by a blogger and he immediately dragged them to court. Bloggers and everyone has a lesson to learn that twisted information should not be sent out without proper verification but a democratic State should not be seen to be intimidating whistle blowers and journalists. Every reasonable Nigerian should see to this young man being arraigned within the constitutionally stipulated period of time or be released unconditionally. |
As a patriotic Nigerian I cast my vote for removal of a filthy Senate President. |
I really want to know how much this Assembly has gulped by the end of this fiscal year. They budgeted N150 Billion naira to entertain us. Kwara people should be warming-up. The Kwarans will be leading us when we are ready to match on the National Assembly. These people are totally unaware of the current state of mind of the majority of the populace. National Association of Stone and Satchet Pelters are keenly watching you. Can some people smuggle camera and recorders into the looter-led Shallow chamber tomorrow. We need to know who said what and how to deal with them appropriately. |
We want to see them in court or CCT not reading charges against them on pages of newspaper. Lawyers want to earn livings and recruit more clerical officers. These people have Billions stashed away. |
teeowl:In fact we should start protesting if any petty thief is convicted of stealing N5 maggi or amputated for stealing N3k goat. |
Can this go viral in anyway; facebook and twitter. Public officers do not have any legal powers to harass or arrest other citizens - the right thing to do is to bring a case against any citizen that is suspected of breaking any law. Last time it was the Nassarawa Governor now its Ogun state Governor. These people should be careful if Kwarans can stone other Nigerians can too. |
happney65:No soldier. A template for effective prosecution of corrupt public officers is gradually evolving. Senator Saraki trials by the CCB and EFCC are setting standards for holding public officers to probity and rule of law. Fine it has almost always been the order of day in every facet of our live but now we are presented with another opportunity of supporting a Leader who is clarioning a call for a new and better ways of managing our businesses. Would you have us submit ourselves eternally to the evil of corruption than trying something potentially sanguine? |
If only you can stop posting childish pictures. I will challenge you to a debate here Nairaland on: "2015 Presidential election - Why Buhari was the best candidate." |
happney65:I am not an APC member but a Buhari fan. Buhari may not be the Judges but his antecedents and inclinations would make it difficult for corrupt Judges and accused to continue business as usual. |
anonimi:My brother the Dictator majority of Nigerians love so much is back but unfortunately he has to work with some National Looters. Sit back. relax and watch him excelling in areas where his predecessors have failed. He promised to draw a line for corruption and we the majority that voted and supported him are satisfied with his decisions so far. |
happney65:Let Saraki resign first. I will recommend some Nigerian history of Buhari/Idiagbon 1984 Military regime. You will have a hint of what Buhari stands for. |
Is it the same Saraki that have been rejected by his very own people that voted him? Wamako Saraki is stinking and only filthy Senators like you still tag along with him. Anyway, we voted and invested in the change epitomized by Buhari. You, Saraki or any fortunate lawmaker that tries to stand on the ways of the masses shall be matched on by the Talakawas |
So this cabal helped him falsify his forms to CCB 12 years ago? Were they also behind his invitation and attempted prosecution under former President GEJ regime? This oaf is (like many of his kind) is alleged to own tens of properties and inexplicable fortune and he has been running around to evade justice. He should just resign or get crushed at the CCT. |
Another faceless Senator. The original APC leaders have demonstrated times without number they are united, indivisible and focused. Saraki is technically expelled from APC. He was not there when the APC core leaders were loosing and meeting to form their party but only came last minute to steal their mandate. You guys have only two options : You either fall-in-line or get good lawyers ; you may also need stone-proof cars. |

STATE CONSTITUENCY |
bettercreature:Lesson to all other rebellious Senators, especially, from the North. Going headlong against Buhari is a political suicide only the gods can stop. |
We warned them the poor people always hear this huge loots compare these figures to our situations and wish them evil, I mean more evil. Senators, Governors and other looters should beware. Common man aint smiling no more. |
Brooklynsouth:Dino, Bafarawa, Goje, Ndume and Yerima are all APC Senators |
OldJohn:Sixteen years of PDP rule has made Senators, erroneously, believe: & Sacrifices or pains are bad things and should be avoided & They are meant to be hero-worshiped; hardly see themselves as public servants but royalties & They can always get away with flouting court orders & Every Executive submission to them as an opportunity to make some dough & Everyone is corrupt so therefore no one can fight corruption & Their budget and allowances are not so high so will not entertain any downward review & Their position is to compete with Executive arm of government 1. Those who want to continue corruption and status-quo (most PDP senators and about 9 APC Senators fall in this group) Senators in this category did not campaign nor believe in change and will continue to do everything to frustrate any change effort 2. Those who are open to reform and fight against corruption (most APC Senators fall in this group) Most Senators in this category campaigned for change but, definitely, not all of them believe it is possible. Because they campaigned for change they are somewhat morally bonded to support or appear to support change to inappropriate status-quo in the system 3. Those who are open to reform and fight against corruption but cannot publicly declare their stands - Good men in both parties that believe inappropriate things in the system must be changed but due to their party or individual affiliation cannot always publicly declare their stands. |

Could it be that stealing is now corruption in Kwara State? |
I refuse to believe until I see a picture - afterall I am a Nigerian. |
I always have mixed feelings toward this guy. Hardworking, intelligent and resourceful but he stands out as one of the most viperous politicians in modern Nigeria. The FG should get him a virtual and mobile cage. Is he constitutionally or legally entitled to a diplomatic passport? If he is not he should be made to submit the one he is holding. |
Hah jokes everywhere. They want to be bribed. Buhari is not your usual slug. He will never give bribe to Senators who are mostly prison-bound if he chooses to allow it. What is the point!? Senators with dirty past should either fall-in-line or get good lawyers. Buhari is even lenient with you. If only you understand our true feelings toward you when we see your assets just for serving in government. |
Good news for all parties. Buhari continues his demotic policies while Emefuele gets a new job elsewhere. May Almighty God continue to guide and protect our President. God bless Nigeria |
onatisi:Who and who will be shouting Buhari for any Senators fall? Have you not seen the documented histories of Buhari/Idiagbon attempt at killing corruption in Nigeria? Where were you when Dasuki (a Caliphate blue blood) was chased into hole and now being arraigned before court? Sule Lamido is back in court. Onyeka Owenu PA was successfully arraigned by ICPC, Onyeka ran to Aso Rock genuflecting. Theodor Oji will be back in court soon, even the ever loquacious Fashola and Amaechi are now modest than normal. Lamorde will most-likely be replaced,... So you expect a jobless Kwaran graduate now to shout Buhari because Buhari will not stop the System from retrieving all Saraki stole from Kwara state and returning it back to Kwara state covert? Anywhere you are sample the opinions of common man whenever they hear any rich politician is being docked - They compare the stolen figure to their conditions and wish them more evil. |
Okanokan:Did you vote for change or against change? Change does not come usually peacefully. Most times it involves heating the dregs, scrubbing them thoroughly and finally binning them. After the heat comes calm and greater happiness. |
chukwudi44:Only Saraki can tell us but from his last appearance at the CCT he was looking much different from his gay self. When you are fighting with custodians of your secrets it can get very weary. |
OldJohn:Senate as currently constituted can be grouped into 3 - trust me it has nothing to do with political affiliation anymore: 1. Those who want to continue corruption and status-quo (most PDP senators and about 9 APC Senators fall in this group) 2. Those who are open to reform and fight against corruption (most APC Senators fall in this group) 3. Those who are open to reform and fight against corruption but cannot publicly declare their stands - (Most unexpectedly quiet Senators fall in this group). If Adeyemi gets back to Senate with APC wild-card against Dino he will just end up as an APC Saraki. He will wear PDP jersey but will be scoring home goals in PDP net. |
