ifyalways: Communication break down. All this problem started because of how you told her you don't have money . Since the child stays with the mother, there are some concessions you'd have to make (even if you don't really like it) just for peace to reign. example, the incident of starting school much earlier than agreed. You could have handled it better by either sending them a token of whatever u have or gently tell her you are broke for now but will send whatever u have later as opposed to sticking your feet down and insisting on September. It's not stupidity, it's called wisdom aka stooping to conquer.
From your story, the lady and/or her family can comfortably take care of the toddler. I don't know any court that will grant you custody of the child but you'd get visitation rights for sure if that's what you're fighting for. And also the mandatory monthly child support that you'd have to pay.
Im not sure going to court now is the best idea. Can you take a back seat from visiting and communicating with the lady directly and have either or both of your parents visit hers and have a chat with her parents( not her) i believe your parents will be calm and handle hers well no matter the level of provocation,if any, by the girls Mother. Please don't send only your mom o, we women are known to be petty.
No mother will like you or support you after you knocked up her daughter and refused to marry her so don't be surprised the mom did not caution the daughter while she was exchanging words with you. If you married her properly, her reaction to that incident would have been the opposite. I'm not making excuses for her moms behaviour Please, just trying to see things from a typical Naija moms angle.
If that fails then head to court. Since they stay in Delta, I presume the issue can only be sorted at family welfare courts in Delta state. Obviously,The lady wanted marriage from you and since that is not forthcoming, she's acting out. In as much as ur advice seem nice n a lil edgy.... From d look of this.. If the op married this lady n starts having issues n come here to ask for advice.. Am sure u will blame him for marrying her n not seeing the signs.. We will be better people at judging others when we first try n psychologically put ourselves in others shoes/situation and u feel what they been going thru... Then u will know how best to judge or advice others... |

From all indications, she can duly take care of the child without your input. You talk as if u don't know ur fellow women..... Legionx: 1. Take PEP Drugs (for HIV) 2. Take all Hepatitis Vaccines 3. Take Anti-bacterial drugs (for gonorrhea)
When having sex and you notice a condom burst, the best advice is to pull out immediately and do not ejaculate. Those who do not ejaculate have a reduced risk of catching HIV virus.
Next
1. Take PEP Drugs (within 72 hours after the condom burst or no hope again)
Go to any government (general) hospital around you and request for PEP drugs, you will be given counseling and a HIV Test will be conducted on you to know your status. If its negative you will be given the drugs for FREE
It's possible you wouldn't be given the PEP drugs for a condom burst but it will depend on the doctor available. Some of them are nice enough to understand while others follow strict protocol.
Remember these people don't work on Saturdays
2 and 3 are self-explanatory. It happened to me here in s.a Immediately d condom burst.. I was out n by d 36hrs I started using PEP |

[quote author=Omoge87 post=75128159]Yes I will continue being self-sufficient until God brings my husband my way and even then I will still be self- sufficient - but in a different way. I shouldn’t have to be disturbing my husband for money to buy pant and bra or for aso ebi money for my friends wedding. What’s his own with my friends wedding abi? If I want to waste £150 on my friends aso ebi - why should I be disturbing my husband for such things. Did he send me? If I am working and earn my own salary I can take from it and use it to buy the material - rather than disturb him. And that is what I meant when I speak about independence as a woman. I don’t wish to be a liability on my husband and vice versa.
Things like bills, family holidays, school fees, maybe he has an urgent need or I have an urgent need yes that is different - I can ask him for such things.
The Proverbs 31 wife is the yardstick that they tell use for us women - she was a credit to her husband. She was an asset.
My declining financial help from a boyfriend is personal to me - on this forum a girl having accepted assistance from a guy who has paid her tuition for her education- she has now graduated and is now asking should she marry him even if God has not said just because he helped her ? As in.... and for this very reason is why I will not. If I know I cannot marry a man or I am not sure about him - why then allow him to spend money on me lavishly- invest his time and energy- deprive himself of things for my sake - knowing I may not even marry him. If that is not wickedness then I don’t know what is. Also she may now feel indebted to marry someone she doesn’t want to because he helped her with her education. It is unfair for both of them.
Hence why if you read clearly I said my husband I can accept financial assistance from but Boyfriend I will not. I am not talking about let’s say he wants to help me fuel my car or we go out and he pays for the meal ... that’s fine - I am talking of big financial assistance like him buying me a car, school fees that’s a no no for me- husband yes ... boyfriend no etc....
In reference to your comment about me buying a husband - I don’t know which market they sell husband - but I won’t be going there. My not being married is simply because I am not in a haste. You can rush into marriage but you cannot rush out. Better take your time because divorce costs more than the wedding day ...
Peace out and remain blessed.
[/quote After all u typed n my perusal.... Its not a wrong thing to accept help or assistance from your boyfriend.. Romance › Re: He Said If I Don't Lose Weight He Will Break Up With Me.should I? by ghettochild(m): 9:46am On Jan 26, 2019 |
monikmotivatioa: Hmm,what a matter of ''Do this to please me if you want us in together.'' 'He said if I don't lose weight he will break up with me should I?'
What do you think? Should this big and beautiful full lady lessen weight just to safe her relationship? While many say NO,others, just very few suggest that she do as her boyfriend says.
Well for me,it is a two way things. It could be YES and It could also be NO depending on whom this boyfriend of hers really is. Is he a claimed suitor or a genuine one? Does he really mean marriage or is he just a passerby?
I mean,if this fat and beautiful lady is just an ordinary girlfriend to this man, doing whatever he suggests even against her wish is simply pure stupidity since he is not a meaningful boyfriend to her. Such a man doesn't have a huge interest or great plan for future with her and so why ask her to reduce her weight as if he owns her?
But if the man in question is Mr Right and not Mr Right now to the lady, yes,he has every right to ask or tell his lady things to correct in herself.
It is not wrong! While some people argue that a man who loves you would accept you the way you are I say yes, that is true but it is not also bad if he sees some part of you not suitable for him and he asks you to work on it. It is only a man who genuinely loves you and has good intentions for you that could boldly tell you all that! Passerby would see things that would hurt you but won't tell after all they would never have to carry your cross or ever share part of it with you in future.
Why would a man who loves you enough to make you his wife not ask you to change certain things about yourself for his likes? If you really understand the point and relevance of courtship part of which is that it is a period in which two lovers interested in each other for marriage have a close relationship to see whether each of them is acceptable to themselves.
In courtship which is a step higher than dating, both parties talk about future, aspirations and goals together. If you have interest in someone you love and you find out that he or she has an attitude that will make future difficult for both of you would you not say it and suggest that he or she changes it? If that party really has interest in you surely he or she will change for compatibility purposes.
Read more here: List Of Different Needs In Relationship. Which Is Yours?
So what is wrong if a man wants his woman to add or reduce weight for his likes? Is it not for his pleasure after all? Will it not be ...https://www.monikmotivational.com/2019/01/he-said-if-i-dont-lose-weight-he-will.html You too go n lose weight not for his sake for ur sake.. Cos weight loss or not he could still break up with u as una never marry o.. So if u don lose weight n remain sexy.. The new relationship won't experience d go n lose weight syndrome |

Omoge87: Dear OP.
I don’t really understand this philosophy myself. I am a Nigerian lady. I currently work, I bought and drive my own car. Have almost completed my MSc which I paid for myself. My point being as a Nigerian lady I have never cared about what material thing a guy has. What girls think a guy can provide for them- they can actually provide for themselves if they work hard.
I have only been in two relationships in my life - but in those relationships I never cared about anything material. I cared about their long term vision and goals etc... I remember my first ex didn’t drive. I am the one that would drop him home after church etc.. When they had a need I would help. When I had need they would offer to help and I would politely decline - if it was monetary - simply cos I don’t want any guy to be saying he did xyz for me. Also I noticed Nigerian men associate helping their girlfriends with sex - so far as they are gifting you and giving you money they expect sex in return and as I am not a prostitute - I decline such things. I would rather ask my parents if I had any monetary needs. I don’t believe boyfriend should become your driver or your bank when courtship and vice versa. When you are husband and wife - then yes I can accept financial assistance from my husband - but not boyfriend. Why should a boyfriend be paying my fees or rent? I just don’t understand it at all. A girl should learn to be self - sufficient - when she has her own she won’t care if a guy has BMW or plenty money. She will rather want someone who is compatible with her vision and life long goals.
Bottom line my philosophy is if a girl works hard she won’t have to rely on a man for anything- she will not care if he has a car or money as her first port of call. She will be interested in - does he have a Job, is he a Christian, family background etc... because she wants someone likeminded and compatible with her also.
I think it is laziness that makes some girls want to live off a man. I just don’t understand it at all. My brain cannot comphrend the thought. There is nothing like having your own independence as a woman. I am not a feminist oooo. I just believe in hard work so you don’t have to rely on anyone or beg anyone for anything in this life.
On this same forum there was a post that asked would you rather a rich husband that cheats but provides or a poor husband that is faithful but can’t provide. I just shook my head. Why can’t one just have a hardworking husband and a hard working wife who are both faithful and provide for each other’s needs ? simply cos I don’t want any guy to be saying he did xyz for me. What kinda mentality u been exhibiting? No wonder u are not yet married... Just continue doing things for you self n pushing men away from you by declining their help.... Maybe d degree dey winch or d fact u feel financially comfortable.. U go buy husband las las |

ghostwritter: CHAPTER THREE
NIGHTMARE
_____________
I laid on my bed till day break trying to wrap my head around what I had seen. It felt unreal but it was real. I could see the sweet boys excited all through the day as they kept smiling to all the pretty girls in class. I envied the boys and wish I had taken the chance of a life time the night before. By night fall, I was excited as I laid there on my bed in anticipation for the Sweet boys call till I fell unconscious. I woke up the next morning to the exhausted faces of the sweet boys. They looked tired like they hadn’t slept a bit through the night. I felt betrayed and challenged them for not waking me.
“Of what use is a Lollypop to a goat” Solomon replied me as he struggles to dress up for class. The boys all laughed. They got his message and so did I and it hurt seeing they must have had wonderful experiences the night before. I begged him to let me follow them the next night and he agreed. But that night, the gang failed to wake me and again I missed out of the wonderful experience. The next morning, I could see they appeared more exhausted and noticed Benson, Ali and Kolade sleeping during lessons. In class, I would stare at Feyintola whose seat was at the front row adjacent mine giving me more chance to stare at her smooth legs, her lips, eyes, her chest. Wondering how wonderful it would be to caress them all. Few times she had caught me stare at her but smiled coyly, I felt she loved me too. So on that afternoon during break, I braced up and approached her with snacks, drink and my boyish smile. Seated beside her was Kiki her best friend, both had their minds buried to a romance novel along the walk-way.
“Hi” I greeted.
Kiki swiftly looked up from her book with a frown as if I had disrupted her mind. “Hi, what is it?” she asked.
“I…I came to see Feyintola” I almost stammered.
Feyintola looked up and almost let out a smile on seeing me but she quickly frowned. “Why?”
I loosed it. I couldn’t remember all those romantic lines I had rehearsed, telling Feyintola how I felt about her seem difficult than I had imagined. “I…I…I have…have come to give you these” I starmmered and handed the snacks and drinks to her.
“Thank you…and is that all?” she asked expectantly.
“That’s all” I lied
As I turned and was walking away, I heard them giggling. I was sure they were making fun of me. I felt foolish. While going, the sweet boys suddenly accosted me, they looked at me suspiciously as they tried to know if I hadn’t been going around spilling their secret. I assured them I haven’t and wouldn’t do such thing. They walked away not after reminding me of the consequences if I do.
An hour past midnight the next day, I was woken by the alarm of my wrist-watch. I looked around and wasn’t surprise to see the six beds around me empty. I grabbed my flash light and sneaked out of the hostel away into the store in my pajamas. There in the store were the six of them flashing their lights on me as I appeared, I guess I scared them. I confronted them for not calling on me but they appeared too engrossed with what Solomon was about to do. I sensed they cared less about my presence but I wasn’t bothered, I had made up my mind to join in the wonderful experience. We watched silently as Solomon kept reading out the strange words from the book, he pronuced fluently and confidently this time. And as he did, the weather outside turned windy as numbing cold enveloped our bodies again. I became scared, skeptical of my earlier choice. All the boys appeared to care less as they seem eager to spill their bloods on the book. One after the other, I watched them dissolve into thin air with Solomon’s supervision. When it was my turn to go, Solomon insist I stay behind claiming it’s a must someone amongst us stay behind to watch over the book.
“But we can simply just hide the book somewhere around till we all come back” I suggested hoping I don’t stay behind.
“Sorry, it doesn’t work like that. The book must be left open till we all reappear” Solomon responded eagerly with his blood already dripping on the opened page of the book.
I was curious. “So what happens if the page is closed?”
Solomon vanished.
I felt him breeze away from the store. In my anger I sat down to watch vigilant over the book. I could hear my heart beating in the dark, quiet space of the store. Shortly, I heard a rumbling noice by the far corner of the store, I was startled. I flashed my light at the direction to reveal a black cat staring at me. It stood still as it kept it gaze on me even as I flicked my light at it. That was scary. I picked up a piece of wood to throw at it but the cat had disappeared. It was nowhere around. After about two long, silent and scary hours, the boys puffed-out one after the other all sweaty, exhausted but excited. By day break I tried to make them narrate their experiences to me but they kept avoiding it. At class that day, a handful of girls were absent from class including Feyintola and Kiki, I heard they were all admitted at the school clinic due to strange ailment. We heard it was so serious that four of the girls had to be taken for intensive treatment outside the school. Rumour quickly spread about Elizabeth’s prophecy coming to pass. That night before I slept, I thought about what had happened to the girls, perhaps they ate something poisonous. I woke up past midnight and was surprise to see the sweet boys all still asleep. I sneaked up to Solomon’s bunk, woke him up and reminded him of our activity but he simply shunned me off telling me they had earlier cancelled it.
“But why?” I whispered angrily.
“Are you daft, don’t you hear what happened to some girls?” Solomon asked sleepily.
“Yes I heard but that shouldn’t stop us. Besides, we are just going there to have a view”
“We are on solidarity break with the girls throughout this week” he said conclusively before falling back to sleep.
Solomon was right, my desperation had taken the better part of me. I withdrew to my bed and slept.

I saw myself walking through the school football pitch in the middle of the a dead night, I couldn’t remember when and how I got there but I felt I was to wait for someone. Everywhere was awefully quiet and that got me uneasy. Who am I waiting for? Who is coming?” I looked across the field and saw Feyintola running towards me from the other end of the field in her school uniform. She was desperately calling for help against a creature that was pursuing her. Behind her was something looking like a gargoyle.
“David help!” she called in distress.
At first I couldn’t tell what it was from afar but the beast like creature effortlessly caught up with her and tore her into shreds like she was made of tissue. I stood unable to move my feet as the creature lumbered towards me with deadly intent. It took the figure of a human in a pitch black scaly body, balanced on two thick muscled legs that looked much like that of a horse, on its human-like face rested two long horns. Its eyes set under heavy bony brows that glowed ghastly red, while tufts of its lank sprouted from its diseased scalp. It got to me and slowly walked around me in circles. it sniffed my body and sneered. From it fanged mouth proceeded blood-curdling shrieks accompanied by the stench of rotten meat. The monster looked right into my eyes and I could see it had come for more than a kill. While it sharp-talon paws reached out to rend and tear me, I shut tight my eyes in fear and screamed.
I jolted up from my nightmare to meet everyone in my dormitory starring at me. I must have been screaming all along.
During the morning assembly, the school principal Mrs. Wright addressed the rumor and panic going around the school, she assured every student maximum security. Kiki resumed class that week but Feyintola hadn’t, she informed me that Feyintola was amongst the four girls with critical condition. I couldn’t concentrate in class as my mind kept dwelling on my nightmare, how the beast had killed Feyintola and also came for me. Is she going to die? Am I going to die?
