Let me start by stating the fact - you started insulting South East Igbos in this thread. I was following this thread a few days ago but your exuberance cannot let me digest your points.

First - Onitsha is not Anioma, Anioma is purely a political coinage by Denis Osadeby which is an acronym derived from the four original local government areas, i.e., (A) for Aniocha, (N) for Ndokwa, (I) for Ika and (O) for Oshimili, M and A being common denominators found in the original four local government areas.
What the above means is that Anioma stats and ends in the present day Delta State.

Does Onitsha share ancestry with Anioma?
Yes, Benin ancestry.

Is every Onitsha man of Benin ancestry?
Capital NO.
There are Igala and yes, some part of Onitsha are actually of Nri ancestry. Closely related to Ogbunike, they are minimal though. That said, Benin makes up a heavy chunk of Onitsha ancestry.

Will Onitsha join the so called Anioma state?
Hell no.
You guys are just ranting here without even understanding the situation of Onitsha. Most places you guys refer to Onitsha are not even Onitsha. Awada to Upper Iweka is Obosi. 3-3 & housing is Nkwelle Ezunaka, some part of Omagba is Nkpor. If you remove all these places it will remain a tiny space of inland town.
Here is the tricky part, Onitsha is in a very serious land dragging dog fight with almost all her neighbours. Onitsha is fighting Obosi, Nkpor and Nkwelle. Obosi is giving them upper cut, Nkpor too but that's by the way.

The question here is -
How do you Anioma people take Onitsha without Obosi and Nkpor? Are you guys aware that most of the places you referred to Onitsha belongs to Obosi?

Why are the Anioma people dragging Onitsha to their proposed state?
The answer is straightforward - Onitsha is a economic power weight capable of sustaining a new state but who built Onitsha? Mostly Anambra people! How many Anioma people own land and shops or investments at Onitsha?

Anambra has a bigger claim at Anioma too.
Don't forget that most part of Oshimili - Ibuza/Asaba, Ogwashi Uku are of Nri ancestry. These places are 10 times bigger than Onitsha.
Funny enough, I don't even mind losing tiny Onitsha inland town at the exchange of Oshimili in Delta State after all they are Anambra (following your logic). Awada, Owerri Road, Upper Iweka etc are all Obosi, Housing & 3-3 are Nkwelle, Omagba is Nkpor..
Oshimili is a very fertile land, Ibuza is developed...

Why wouldnt they be proud of their Anioma heritage, Anioma has beautiful history and culture. I am also proud of my Nri heritage, but I am not from Agukwu Nri. Today, Nkpor, Umuoji and Abatete are known as the Okodu clan yet they originated from Nri.

Ngozi, by the way is one of my favourite Igbo girl here and she is proud of her Anioma heritage but I doubt she wears an Anioma identity and even if she do then she doesn't understand her immediate culture because Anioma and Ogbaru do not celebrate the same culture neither do they speak the same dialect.
