Mrs. King The very first person to advise her was Ahnie, she basically told her to take the issue out of the thread so that her hubby won't come here and start saying stuff, that's reasonable advice. No one had an issue with that, but it's still Damsel21's choice to decide where she wants to post, no need trying to bully her or trying to act like her issues are less important than all the other trivial stuff we discuss on this thread. What's wrong with telling damsel21 to open a new thread, is it not the same Mama's here that will go to the new thread to read the gist, insult the man, and offer genuine support etc.
Instead the " heartful" and women bestfriends are being over dramatic and saying over the top things.

It was a very nice thing that mrking3 was very interested in his wife's pregnancy and was here learning from pregnant women and I am pretty sure he was being helpful to his wife, instead he was insulted for being active on the page, when we need more involved men, who will atleast start learning to understand and be helpful.

Even on BabyCenter men do comment.

And the truth is many won't give real help, just read story and entertain themselves with the usual rant about how men are this and that.

It's one of the popular induction tools here o, I drank it from first trimester too but I was always careful not to drink too much to avoid stories that touch, I drank almost a whole drum at 40 weeks tho and it did nothing, but u should sha drink carefully

Quick question please : Would you feel very bad if your MIL goes on vacation instead of coming to handle your omugwo? The full scenario is this :
Her mom is alive and well and can afford to come but she prefers the MIL.
There's no emergency with the MIL, just wanna go enjoy a well deserved vacation with DH. I no fit kee myself abeg.
MIL has secretly arranged for trusted and experienced helps to do the omugwo and just plans on going awol and unreachable for at least three weeks after her edd.

How would you feel as the DIL? Should the MIL just tell her now?

If you're sure she has adequate help then biko start now to tell her so that she can adjust her expectations. I'd definitely prefer being told in advance, and maybe a promise to come and stay a little after the vacation.

Happy Sunday to all the expectant mothers in the house. Please help inform me, I don't know if my condition is normal or not. I am a first timer mother. Got my result last week but the rate at which I feel nausea is alarming, funny enough I don't vomit but the feeling to is so severe. It has given a great discomfort and I feel as if life is slowly choking out from me.


I met with a doctor who said nothing could be done about the symptoms until after the first trimester. I have googled and ask for different opinions but nothing seem to be relieving it. I have added prayer to it. It just get worse everyday, I lose apetite as each day passes. I have been on folic acid, Vit. B complex, multivitamins and felruse(Red blood tonic capsule), add ginger to my drinks and water. Nothing is helping.

Please what am I doing wrong? Senior Colleagues please help coz I can't bear this for 3months.

It's prolly gonna get a lot worse then it would get a lot better. The doctor is right. You are on the right track, keep praying so that your ms would leave after three months

Just checked, no pain or swelling

I'm sure it's related to the ear washing and cleaning, try to make sure water doesn't enter the ear, instead just wipe with a wet face towel, and when using cotton buds, don't try to go too far, just the outta ear.

Happened to my baby, but I noticed grandma was always getting water into the ear while washing her head, plus the back of her ears were really dirty. We stopped the water pouring and I cleaned the outer ear and back of ear with cottonwool soaked in coconut oil. If symptoms persist after day 3, go to the doctor.

About your question, I think you should express more and keep trying to get him to feed from the bottle, it would take a while.. ever since I started EBF my baby has bluntly refused to take breastmilk in a bottle and that's acceptable for now cuz I'm still at home, I plan to start giving her bottles again by next month so she can get used to it before I resume work in September.

You don't have to start walking if it makes you tired before you go and faint on the road. You could visit a friend or go to the mall and window shop/see a movie, attend a random church program. Places you could easily sit when you get tired. From my experience, the days you leave the house are always the easiest and it helps fight the feeling of depression. If you don't feel up to any of it tho just forget it, in a couple of months now when you are trying to get pregnant again you won't even remember this feeling.

So this is how you people used your bad mouth to pursue that poor man that came to register on behalf of his wife, when he was only looking out for your heavily pregnant arsess. Who's his cappo, biko mention him let him come back, we've forgiven and forgotten

After taking that my garden egg leave juice and condensed milk, my sisters, I start purge ooo. I kept on purging and purging. I took 3 bottles of sprite mixed with salt and sugar before I got myself back. Don't know if the concoction made me purge or my system just decided to purge itself. Next time, I will chew the thing, no juicing sef.
