1) My two weeks + baby prefers sleeping on his back instead of his sides as we were told at the hospital, yes I pad his sides well to ensure he doesnt turn but he feels so uncomfortable till I remove the side guards and sleeps better. How dangerous is it?

2) he streches A LOT, he doesnt cry while stretching though but I just feel its too much for his age as he does it like an adult. What could be the cause or is it normal?

He is supposed to sleep on his back that's the safest position for him. How come the hospital asked you to put him on his side. My baby stretches too much too. Sometimes when she wakes up in the morning I just stand by her cot and wait for her to finish stretching so I can pick her up but it always seems endless

I'm aware of what the poster is implying and you would have to eat in an usual amount of pineapples to have adverse effects. No human can sit and eat that many pineapples in one sitting. So I'm actually actually curious if a certain chemical is more present in Nigerian pineapples than other pineapples. But I'm sure a very ignorant person like you already knew that.

Hi where we grow it over here in Nigeria is covered by one big AC so it tends to affect pregnant woman cuz of the cold that enters it.

I think All babies do both. No need to be concerned unless there are other issues. It's sha your right to watch her sleep at night. I used to do same for my baby. As the old song goes who sat and watched my infant head when sleeping on my cradle bed my mother

@giddyperson, @naomi14, everybori. Im about to give up on breastfeeding. My milk supply has refused to be reliable. My baby was patient at the beginning when there was almost nothing coming out such that i had to supplement with formula to stop weight loss Ive drank so much ogi that if u cut me ogi might flow before blood so dont even volunteer that advice again. She's no longer patient to suck such that even now that its flowing beta than before, she will beat my bt and start crying if its not fast enough. N once she's annoyed, na 1hour + cry be that.

My ability to sleep at night is disappearing before my very eyes. Cos she used to be content to suck bt from 8pm till daybreak. Last night i had to make a bottle before she could eat enough to go back to sleep. I want to know if there's any other solution before i give up n face formula only.

i agree with all replies so far. Also don't let yourself get frustrated over it cuz that affects the flow. The baby is already three months old just go with the flow. There would be more babies to EBF in future.

Was using sudocrem (worked for a while), used abf(nice but was making her fair instead of clearing the rashes) and then someone said it's ila/ela(bought native medicine) My brethren, the rashes are even expanding. I honestly don't know what else to do or use? Biko, I don't want my dd to grow up and not be feel comfortable in her skin .


Finally! ,Can I start putting on air conditioner? Dd is 2 months and she's always well covered up especially at night.

hi teamie oya pack your load to the newborn thread. mybaby reacts to drugs the same way. I use a syringe as dropper for the drugs that come without dropper and I drop very little at a time to the sides of her mouth then let her display. Don't know where u live but AC is the last thing on my mind right now. We sleep with all our windows closed and we even close the bathroom window cuz of the air that comes in from under the door. My baby's health has really improved since I stopped letting her sweating bother me. No more fighting cough and catarrh and weird breathing. Please leave AC for the hot season. Use a face towel and agnesia powder to keep her free from sweat. Try and buy baby tribotan for the rashes
