Onegai I like your recent blog post, my manual breast pump is a disappointment to me , I'd been contemplating buying an electric breast pump for when my baby resumes daycare, she'd be nearly 5 months then, or whether to just switch to formula.

Everything you are feeling is normal cuz your EDD is now so close. Mine was that my bladder would feel so full yet when I get to the toilet little or nothing would come out. I pray your baby turns soon. Goodluck

Went for antenatal today, doctor measured my tummy and said it measuring 30wks instead of 34weeks i have to do scan to confirm everything is okay but he told me to wait till the week of my nxt antenatal (2 weeks time) , i am just praying everything goes well.
As if that is not enough went to lagos to baby shop, the rain just decided not to stop. It was such an hectic day but i am happy that i have done 90% of my shopping

thank u ma. But no to hospital last 2. Wks my lo had dis strong cough n catarrh gave him antibiotics, vit c d cough got stronger one night n he vomited sometins dat looks like mucus and was breathing very fast ftm like me was very scared mil and family doc was not around the following morning I rushed him to general hospital gbagada. Na so one amateur doc asked me to run a test and xray on my lo ignorant mom like me rushed to do d test n xray came back to d hospital n d mumu second doctor cudnt read d xray without knowing xray results he refer us to luth that dey will give lo oxygen imagine just like dat. Lucky for me my family doc return my calls and was very mad at me for doing xray dat my baby is too tender for it immediately I went home n my doc was already waiting he read d xray n say lo is perfect dat it was bronchiatis whatever immediately asked me to boil water he gave my baby warm bath, massage with hot water and steam bath asked me to back him immediately n he fall asleep asked me to do it for 3days n lo n behold his breathing went back to normal and asked me to continue with vit c my baby is very fine now except for D cough which is just lil.

I think Zinnat is also an antibiotic, they prescribe it when your baby's breathing sounds weird. The cough might just have been a symptom that came with the bronchitis and since you said it's just little, you should just manage it let it go on it's own. Neofylin was prescribed for our own cough but I'm scared to use it, biko who has used it before on a three month old.

Lol what would you now say about McDreamy's death, and Christina's (not well explained) disappearance, I vexed for them initially and abandoned the show but I went back after a while and I'm getting into it again. BBT is always so funny to me every season, Modern family is not so funny again

It must be the general orientation around these parts that add to the nonsense these helps spew out! Many don't see it as a "job" but erroneously see it as doing you a favour! Especially because they also realize we working mums are mostly desperate as regards child care! I recall one thread here where a mama complained that her nanny was leaving her house to fraternize with neighbours and she didn't like it. Many commenters felt what's the big deal shouldn't she talk to others and socialize etc etc! After I commented that the nanny was at her place of work and not there for social reasons many of them backed off! So again you see the dilemma here, many just don't see it for what it is!!! Our casual way of fraternizing with them (which is more or less inevitable too) also adds to the general misbehaviors they exhibit.

I know if electricity where more constant in naija we would do away with helps! We go just cook and stock the freezer for a month, Use microwave when you get back from work or outings, you can iron on the go, vaccum and use washing machine daily etc etc

I noticed this, even if you say 'my nanny cut my baby in pieces and cooked her for dinner' you would see foolish people coming to say 'child labour' and 'were you treating her well'. So if you don't treat a grown women well, instead of her to quit or fight you sef, she's allowed to resort to maltreating a baby in return. And what's scary is that more than half the commenters reason this way, we might just have a 50% mentally unstable population in Nigeria. Meanwhile it's usually the best treated nannies that pull the most wicked crap.

Scary ko, I don't do scary at all. when I was a kid my mum used to send me to bed if there was anything scary on tv cuz if I watch it, my night would be dark and full of terrors . This hasn't really changed for me as an adult, even GOT gave me bad dreams cuz I was seeing the three eyed raven too.

I've watched and re watched and rewatched friends, it's long gone but I'm still obsessed, I even sing Phoebe's smelly cat song for Giddybaby everyday, but our own version is:

By the fourth day he was fine.

Paed prescribed Zinnat just like Ahnie did yest she's knocked out now, has been sleeping since 1pm, just woke up wailing, ate and slept back.

Drop some in a bucket of HOT water and let the steam saturate the room. You will have to close the door and windows.

We've been doing steam inhalation with eucalyptus oil nightly for about 4 days now, it actually relieves her and helps her sleep for about 5 hours after it's done but then the symptoms keep coming back.
