So I noticed that after treating malaria, LOs appetite is still not back to normal, plus the rashes came back so I took him to our original hospital (The day the fever started, it was almost 11pm and Hubs wasn't at home so I took him to hospital 2 - one place in the area that Hubs hates for no reason)

They asked a couple of questions and retested for malaria, guess what? Still one plus, same as when we started treating

I don't know if it's fake drugs they gave me, or it's stubborn malaria, they sha gave us chloroquine to treat this one. I have to give him a whole 7.5ml everyday and that shxt is bitter (I tasted it)

Hubs is convinced it's fake drugs and has put his foot down, I must not take his son there again (I kuku don't like that place, blah blah blah )

Mumsi is convinced all of this is teething (I tend to agree cos his finger is always in his mouth now and he seems to be biting down not sucking it) but malaria dey ff teething?

Me I just want my LO to eat properly! He's laughing and playing as usual but I see him struggling with 150mls and it breaks my heart

Anyway I'm at work now and he's with Mumsi. I'll soon close and cuddle my baby

PS: I tried to microwave bread this morning (it was in the fridge) and the thing started burning, the whole office was smelling and safety came. MzMyColi na your head catch me?

Do you know if there's more than one pediatrician at the hospital cuz the one time I needed a pediatrician it was one fake woman like that and I didn't like her at all and I don't want to see her again cheesy

I noticed this, esp with the clothes I bought at the market. The 0-3 months didn't even fit well at birth. But then even with the ones I'm sure of their origin, babies grow so fast in the first few weeks that they still outgrow them too soon.

My hospital didn't tell me anything abt d rota virus,i only heard it frm sum1

Some people don't take it cuz it's not free and some hospitals that don't have it don't mention it but it's important, heard the rotavirus causes diarrhea and vomiting, just trying to spare my baby that if I can.

Got it at my hospital for 9k, you can mention your area here and mamas close to there would suggest hospitals around you that give it.

My baby is 2 months old and only clothes labelled 6-9 months fit, if you are buying clothes please buy very few labelled below 6 months.

Long story cut short, I went for my ANC on Wednesday and the consultant I met almost carried out an emergency CS on me.
The whole drama that played out is still a shock to me but I thank God my baby and I are doing great.

Please mamas, always ask questions. On each visit, find out your weight, bp, baby's heart rate and just get involved in what is going on. Don't just assume things and leave the doctors without knowing what is happening.

Please sew back the short story to be long, why did he want to carry out cs on you

Just out of curiosity, did you have to wash the wrapper afterwards. I don't know dap, I've known always from when it was wingless, that used to be a staining fest and then there was one yellow one, I think it was called Simple.

Lol, I meant that mums or omugwo people would always offer to tie the hell out of your belly after you give birth. They use wrapper to tie it so that it would go back down. Others use postpartum belt, it's like girdle, which I've seen people selling on this thread.

Didn't do anything to my tummy o, when they asked me to sit up and look at my baby I was just staring at my tummy and how it went back down as soon as the baby came out. I still have some idle flesh there now which I think would disappear with sit ups and a sugar/carb free diet, but I'm lazy. My mum said the tying really works for her. If you're going to let them tie you, then start early, allow them make it tight and stick to the routine.

If you get an episiotomy, while you're being stitched, ask if you can sit on hot water, if they say no don't do it no matter how many people come to your house later and say you can. Cuz if you do it, your stitches would loosen and you would have to get restitched.

There's also warm sitz baths which is done by sitting on warm water (warm enough to pour on your body). You can do that one. Zaynie made a post on it around 20-21st April, you can stalk her and read the post.

Cook a massive pot of vegetable soup and take a bowl of it everyday alongside all the orisirisi they are cooking for you so that your poo would remain soft and u won't loosen your stitches while straining to poo

If your hp is like mine that doesn't like soap and antiseptics then use savlon very sparsely else you would end up with an infection.

Take your post-childbirth drugs religiously, even if you are a drug throwawayer like me.

Just wash and dry ur hp area every time you use the toilet, if you keep it clean and dry at all times, it would heal fast.

Get like 4 small towels for the drying part so you can wash every time you use them.

Sit with your legs closed, don't walk around a lot, don't do stressful stuff, just rest.

After the first three days, or whenever the bleeding reduces to just drops, dump the lady sept pads and switch to pantie liners so that you can change it every time you feel something drop on it and for fresh air cheesy

If breast milk doesn't come in early, still just allow baby suck a lot, let her spend 24/7 on the breast if that's what it takes to get her full, that way the flow would improve. If she's too hungry and wailing tho, supplement with formula until it starts flowing well.

You can buy size 2 diapers, that's what I bought, but don't buy too much cuz you would probably get a lot of gift diapers and they might all be size 2 too. I bought just one pack of size 2 molfix diaper, the one that has 48 or so inside, didn't have to buy again cuz she was using gifts until last week when she grew to a size 3. Right now you still don't know which diaper would be good on her skin so don't buy in bulk yet.

As for baby wipes, is there an alternative?

Vaginal delivery hurts like a MF, CS i will try next time n compare unless my baby disagrees n comes by 38weeks. 40weeks or later is not my deal. My baby is 4weeks now. I cant imagine just going to labour now, like kilode?!? I used to talk to my baby, madam here's the deal, momi is too excited to see u, so either come by urself or accept that i will encourage u out. Agreed? I think she said Yes

-Turns out my nurse had called my husband out to explain that my lab tests showed my platelets had dropped too low for them to give me the epidural without risking that i wont stop bleeding after delivery and need transfusion. They were trying to find a solution when i started to say i was pushing.

Ps. Sit over hot water after u leave the hospital. The steam sitz bath its called. Yorubas make u sit on potty but if u can get this plastic (see pic) they gave me in the hospital and place on toilet seat its more convenient. Steam seating works like magic for flattening ur stomach and removing some thick chunks of blood. I couldnt believe what fell out. My mom wanted to make me do it for two weeks morning noon and night. I think i quit after one week.

I feel the same way about VD. Either way a baby came out of somebody's body and that should be it.

On the sitz baths tho. Some hospitals like mine would specifically warn you about sitting over hot water cuz it of the type of thread used for the stitching. If you sit over steam with those kinda stitches, it would most probably come off.

True oh, the other day I saw my uncle's face as a meme on nl. Sent it to some of my siblings and we had a good laugh cuz it was really funny. But I wonder how they get these ideas and pictures, that's the easiest way to turn a serious human being into a joke.
