Hi teamie, how are you doing. Yes it's based on lmp cuz that's what my doctor is using. My last scan said EDD is 3rd April tho, but I'd rather just count down to the farthest date so that I don't frustrate myself and know anything can happen before then.

@ROFEMIGUWA: it happened to my baby and i wanted to see d pead but my husband said it was too much carbohydrates because it happens to him sometimes too. so, i began a personal observation and discovered that anytime i eat rice for dinner(especially if i eat late) my baby wakes up with heavy discharge in his eyes. i stopped and the discharge stopped. for good measure, i ate rice several days later, and the discharge was back in his eyes

I haven't made my hair for the past 3months so I want my face to change for naming ceremony jare, will just do big braids that will last for just a month to do new mum and that's all, I love making hair for ceremonies

This is actually a good idea o, do ordinary weaving as delivery hair and maybe buy a nice wig for the days I'd have to dress up. I can always get someone to re-weave it when it gets old

On a more serious note am getting tired day by day feel like porting to march although march is almost gone,baby pls come first week of april. 38+1weeks today! And anxiously waiting for any sign of labour. Will be making my delivery hair on Saturday, hope I won't end up scattering the whole hair during labour sha .

Hi teamie, I'm good, hope u r doing fine too. I've been thinking lately that there's no more such thing as delivery hair o. Unless this heat is not reaching your side. My hairdos hardly last 3 weeks now before they start to stink and itch. Gone are the days people do dreads hoping to carry it for three months. I feel like the only thing I can do to my hair right now and truly be happy is to shave it all off

I don't buy that palm oil story biko, something our ancestors have been using to neutralise poison since before christ, tried, tested and trusted . If they want to disprove the efficacy of palm oil, they need more proof than that lil story. However, these things sold in Lagos markets ain't palm oil, I can't even cook with it talk more give it to my child to drink. It doesn't even look natural talk more taste. I waybill all my palm oil from my village.

My questions may have been raised here before but please kindly indulge me. I have just relocated to Lagos with my husband and need to register at a hospital for antenatal care and to have my baby. No friends yet to ask questions so decided to join NL hoping the good mummies on here can help me out.

So here are my questions... please answer me as much as you can I beg of you. I want these to guide my choice of hospital and to help me be prepared. Thank you so much in advance!

How much does it cost roughly to have a baby in general/ private hospitals?
Is it all hospitals that will give me a list of things to bring in preparation for labour?
What are the items on the list?

Can't think of anything else to ask but please let me know what else I need to consider. Thank you

Welcome aboard, maybe you can state what area of Lagos you reside so that mamas living around there can recommend hospitals there and their prices

How do people that doesn't know the sex of their baby buy baby things ooooo. because i did a scan dis morning and they said its likely the baby is a girl but they aren't sure . Maybe i should check back later....

I am not really happy with this jaare. Though, i have also been thinking its a girl.

August is still far nah, I've done a total of 4 scans now and I ask for the gender everytime. First time they said it was too early to see, second scan they said they saw something that's probably a labia third scan they said it still appears to be a girl tho she's not really opening her legs for them to see it well fourth scan they said it's most definitely a girl.

Guess you just have to endure cuz you can't force baby to turn and can't force sonographer to see what he's not seeing. You can start buying baby things small small, the ones that the colours don't matter. Leave the pink dresses until after your next scan or if you don't plan to do anymore, buy unisex colours.

I feel so damn restless. March mamas you people are not marching fast enough. On the bright side, last week at work

Since this morning is a long time o, have you been standing a lot or doing any strenuous work. Drink a lot of water, lie down and get some rest, if you've already done that, then go to the hospital just to be sure everything is ok

Lol I'm done with my check up, I'm holding my CS estimated bill and thinking 'this baby has to frigging come out from my vjayjay'. Even the VD sef is still expensive, is it not me doing all the pushing. . They said baby's weight is 3.6kg, hmmm time to start eating vegetable.

Cuz I work during the week I guess, Abi cuz I registered on a Sat. Nah I'm no longer tired of being pregnant, I want my MIL to come first, I don't know how to bath baby. we are waiting until 13th
