After some delays,we finally made our way to d interview hall,pay d visa fee,submission of docz..........
my daughter was eating her biscuit when our number finally buzzd...

Me..; was praying inside for her to say yes or good afternoon but my daughter was jus staring at him and finally said- your window is not open...your window is not open...lol.

Yes, It was your prayer, I mean your prayer that makes me scale through the terrifying CO that interviewed me. I spent up to 45mins wit him. You might be wondering maybe am a married couple dat makes my chat long that way, but NO I am pretty single, but my chat is one of the toughest Chat here. along the line, I also received the greatest honor today at the embassy and from a particular person which I will mention her in the details of my experience ..... I am coming wit my full testimony





I have the opportunity to meet two of our Green House member Alickic + Family and Turlest + wife. Alickic was the 2nd person to be call for an interview (I remember wat Armba observe about been attended to first at the embassy). It seems he had some little issues, which I will get back to us after I must have contacted

Turlest + wife was call in my present and i was call too but they left before the CO could complete interviewing me .

cute2014: Hellooo GH,the Lord is good.Visa approved,details later,pls bear with me.I had to leave the Embassy straight for the kids' end of the year party for which my daughter was actively involved.Just getting in now.All I can say for now is that Nairaland is blessed without us knowing the extent.Whatever advices given in this forum are impt,however that of the V.O is sacrosanct.I took the V.O's advice,definitely know her onions and I was happy I did.Myself and the kids had our visas approved for pick up next week and hubby's DS230 form accepted today.Its not over until its all over.God bless u all,Amen.

i was selected for for 2014 DV lottery. on the 23th of June was my interview date and the time is 7: am. on that day i left my house 4;am and got there by 4:30 am. everywhere was fill up by immigrant and Non-immigrant visa, immediately saw them my mind fly, i taught i was late for the interview, i approach one on suit like me and ask him and he said i came at the rigt tine. that was when my mind relax. about an hour and some minutes the staff there ask us to file in single line immigrant on the left and non-immigrant on the right and started passing us in one by one. when i entered into the main building my number showed at the window board. the you man there collect all my document and ask me to go and sit down that when my time reach they will call me. guys, i glue my bombom on the sit for immigrant but it wasn't me who is there cos the way they discharge people there fear me. without wasting time the interviewer called me to come on window 18, that time i felt like going to the toilet or go to urinate i don,t know which one to do. then i gt to the window before then i gather enough got and stand at window.

she gave me a paper where i will go and collect my visa in five working dayz from that day. when i step out of the window i approach one anty that use to direct person on how to go by their interview there and she said i has been ...................congratulations................

You can pay either in naira or in dollars.embassy rate is #170 to a dollar.

AREOLA: Was trying to check d status of our visa nd its asking me visa case number  used case number but its not accepting it.pls how do  supposed to write d case number?U̶̲̥̅̊

Thanks @Areola. This is how you will write your case number when you want to check it eg 2014AF999999. Hope this helps

Good morning.have u checked ur visa status on ceac.state.gov? Our own read issued since Friday and we picked our visas yesterday morning.maybe you should try checking or better still,go back today .wish u best of luck.

VisaOfficer: Well, if the adoption is full and final, theoretically the children can be added. I say "theoretically" because we review every adoption case very carefully, and there may not be time to finish our investigation before the deadline. If by any chance the adoption is fine but the visas can't be printed in time, the parents can always file for them once they've settled in the U.S. (as long as the children have lived with the adopting parents for at least two years -- if not, they'd need IR-3 visas, which are somewhat more complicated but still obtainable).

Dear VO, thanks for this apt response. There is another twist to my earlier enquiry....my friend's hubby is currently away from town after their visa approval due to work demand: however, the full and final document is almost ready for submission, the question is:

1. Can the the wife who is also the Principal Applicant in the absence of the hubby present the children at the embassy when they are finally given appointment?

2. If and when the visa is issued for the kids, Can they (hubby or wife) come back to take them the USA after some months but before the expiration of the visa validity?

I thank you as I anticipate your response.

Adeboy007: I fear all NL members are careless about the VB as I have realized everyone has been current.

This makes me remember during December/January/February/March when members were depressed about the movement of Visa Bulletin.

But now everyone is looking forward to a particular date his/she will be having Chat with the CO and many have gotten their visa approved..

God's time is the Best, he is never too late ....
