Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, says while former President Muhammadu Buhari did not achieve all his goals, he still performed better than the current administration led by President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Amaechi dared the minister to take a walk with him from Abuja to Port Harcourt to prove his popularity.

A former Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC), Yabagi Sani, has said that it would be difficult for northerners to believe the proposal by ex-Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi to run for president in 2027 and stay in office for a single term of four years.

I went to my inlaw's house after he came from Over sea, he was a General during Gowon's time and a close classmate of Yakubu Gowon.

He brought drinks, we drank and ate and left. My wife later told me that he never expected "PAPA" to bring out that wine. It was worth more than $50k (maybe am exaggerating) and according to her, Papa gets expensive gifts alot from people.

He was given several cars at one time that they started selling them to create space in the compound.

Speaking at the commissioning of the Kugbo Bus and Taxi Terminal, Wike recalled the glorious days of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and how he had joined a delegation to Anambra State where their host served them Cristal Brut, some form of expensive champagne.

Obi had in 2017 shortly after leaving the Anambra Government House claimed he had only one wristwatch which he had worn for 17 years.

Speaking at The Platform, a programme organized by the Covenant Christian Centre in Lagos, Mr Obi said he also had two pairs of black shoes which he travels with always.

“I have said it to Nigerians, Peter Obi wears only black shoes, and I have two pairs of them, and I travel with them”, Obi had said, referring to his austere lifestyle.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has welcomed the Chairman, Senate Committee on Ethics, Code of Conduct and Public Petitions, Senator Neda Imasuen from the Labour Party, to the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Imasuen, who represents Edo South Senatorial District, switched allegiance to the APC on June 12 in Benin City, citing the leadership crisis in the LP as his reason for abandoning the party.

The lawmaker’s defection was officially communicated through a letter addressed to Akpabio, which was read during Tuesday’s plenary session.
