There's nothing necessarily wrong with his email as most professors hardly respond to cold mails except they're really in need of students.

My advice is that you keep sending out as much as possible. Most importantly, when you check some universities' staff page, it will be clearly stated there if they're recruiting students or not. Chanel your energy to those recruiting.

Best wishes.
H Quinex2,

You might want to give insight on why you think all the professors he contacted are not in need of students. Besides, speaking from experience, not all professors would state they're actively recruiting. Finally, I would implore you to quote the right person instead.

Good morning All, I have been trying to get a supervisor in Canada for a Master's program. I have sent out cold email to professors but I keep getting messages like 'I thank you for your interest but I do not have a position at this time. I wish you luck in your search.' or no reply at all.
I graduated with a second class honours upper division in Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering. And I have been writing to professors in Biological engineering in various school in Canada and since haven't gotten any positive reply.

Please is there any other way I could go about this because some universities requires contacting professor even before applying.
Hi Token9,

There is something missing in the content of your e-mails. Unfortunately, it's impossible to decipher, not without actually reading one or two of your requests. However, I would advise you to spare a moment to gain understanding of these professors' ongoing research before writing them.

Hello, pls I am trying to submit my student visa application through GCkey but then my document sizes are larger than the maximum size per file (4mb). I tried compressing it but it's compressing it to only about 4%. I'd appreciate any assistance on the best way I can go about this.
Also, I was thinking if it is possible to send some through the portal and if there are other alternatives of sending documents maybe I could do that too.
Hi MercyHaastrup,

I addressed a similar question earlier. Please see below.

Good day house, please which is better for study permit application, POF in parents/sponsors account or the POF transfered to my naira savings account.
Hi Ysth,

Please note that parent sponsorship is almost as tenable as self-sponsorship. It wouldn't make much difference if you have the fund in your account or theirs. In terms of expressing commitment, that can be done duly by paying a fraction of your fees.

Hello,

Could someone assist to answer this question.
If you erroneously answered yes to a disability question while applying to a school and you've been mailed by the school that they identify you have a disability after an offer to the school, how do you rectify this?
Is it okay to email them that you do not have a disability and you mistakenly submitted that in your application?
Hi HopefulSuccess,

Disability is not a criterion for admission assessment. Those quarries are there on student support grounds. Therefore, your decision to correct the error in question will most likely not strip you of your admission.

Please go on and email the admission office about your concern.

Can I get visa to study for an undergraduate program with a 10 year-old Neco result in canada?
Hi Leadborn

SSCE is generally a permanent, non-expiring certification. Hence, it is valid for as long as you have breath passing in and out of your nostrils. In your own case, you will only need to explain your engagements from a decade ago.

Hello Chiefs @gigdraft
Please help on this

Guest911:
Hello house, So back in 2020 I had a remote programming job and earned USD monthly. I have legit employer payslips and Payoneer account deposit receipts and DOM account statement as proof.

My savings in DOM account is enough for POF.

Since 2021 Feb I’ve been doing freelance work with no salary earnings and I registered a company with CAC.

Do I need to pay myself from my company as proof of employment and home tie?

Or is my deed of assignment and payslips from the abroad company enough for my home ties?

Also, the said property address corresponds to where I live both on the passport page and everything.
Hi Guest911,

Your state of affairs isn't so clear. Hence, I will need an additional elucidation to respond accurately.

Here are my questions:

i. What's the length of your proposed program?

ii. If you should sideline your domiciliary account against the picture, as implied, can the available fund in your corporate account cater for your overall study assignment in Canada?

iii. Can your current liquid asset fund your entire stay in Canada?

Please note that a company with no jurisdiction in your home country cannot be used as a tie in this context. Nevertheless, your answers to the above questions would determine my advice.

Please after feeling a webform and sending a new date of school admission ( Acceptance letter) how long will it take for ircc to send feedback??

But my biometrics and medical as being updated before i sent a webform!!!!
Hi Segun7201,

There's no specific timeframe slated for IRCC's feedback. Just pitch a tent with patience for a short while, your application will be updated. However, if the waiting time lasts for too long, you can write IRCC, Nairobi via email: nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca in addition to the webform.

How much is the required POF for SOWP
Hi XtyOgor4g,

The fund required for an SOWP application is dependent on your family size. A family of 2 should show an available balance of 16,570 CAD. I would recommend an additional 4,000 CAD for more headcount.

Hi guys,

I got the attached email screenshot from IRCC in response to the webform I raised.

What is the implications on the expedition of my application processing?

Thank you.
Hi Virocrix,

The email you received is quite generic with no specific detail in respect with your current stage of application. Considering IRCC's modus operandi, I find it difficult to depict the relevance of expedition in this context, as you weren't given such an option.

Hello gurus here please i have a question..
Deferring my intake and also to a different course because my initial course is full for jan intake will it affect my current visa application still waiting for a decision?
Hi Fredba,

Your decision is a wise one and will not affect your current application. You will only need to update IRCC and your application with a new LOA via webform. However, your latter program should be closely related to the former to eradicate concerns that might border around purpose of visit.

@makano @frankrobnn @lekiboboe @bullstriker @gigdraft @justmellow @ketima @technix and all

Please I currently hold a masters degree from a university in Asia...

My aim now is to apply for a college admission in canada while I also create a stance in the express entry pool..

Although, I might return to nigeria for biometrics after I get a college admission...

Do you think that having a masters degree already would affect the VO's decision on my visa application?

Do I have to declare on my application that I already have a masters degree?
Hi koreanlord,

I will be as straight as possible with you, as I am quite on a tight schedule. In this context, whatever preference you execute in respect with your application, please follow this guide:

If your current master's degree and the proposed one are accord, then I would have advised you against declaring the former - you should apply as a Bachelor's degree holder. On second thought, this might not be a choice for you because your travel history could sell you out. Hence, the best option would be a master's degree in an entirely different field except you have an academically valid ground for dual master's degrees in comparable specialities.

To address your second concern, be at ease, TRV and PR applications are often evaluated independently. Hence, your final decision won't be influenced by either of the two.

Good morning guys,

Please is it necessary to send email/webform concerning the expedition of my application?

I'm at the moment undergoing trainings for would-be Teaching Assistants. Resumption date is 7th of September, UOttawa. Medical passed but eligibility check yet to start.

To be candid, I submitted on the 13th of July.

Kindly let me know if it's necessary at this moment to send emails/webforms
Hi Virocrix,

Since your resumption is slated for September, then I wouldn't advise you against bothering IRCC. However, you should note that your application is still within the standard IRRC's processing time. Hence, your webform might or might not be acknowledged.

Hi llionaire,

Please note that an advice is not synonymous to an illegality. Hence, when an individual advises you against an action, it will be at your discretion to go with it or against it.

Traveling to Canada 3 months before resumption might not be illegal but it will raise the CBSA officer's suspicion. Therefore, I wouldn't advise anyone to make such choice.

Below is a screenshot from the link you attached.

I hope you understand better now?

Gigdraft:
Hi Immacbaby,

I would strongly advise you against booking that flight. 3 months before your enrollment date would raise the CBSA officer's suspicion.

Please do not even attempt it. Anything from 4 weeks is fine.

@gigdraft the application was since jan 7th i think thats why or what?
Hi Anifowoshehabee,

Going by the 6-month length of transaction, the validity of the SOA you submitted is now nugatory. This is likely the reason for the request for an updated version.

Please go ahead and submit a recent SOA. I have experienced this 3 times and all the parties involved were approved. Consequently, I am 80% sure of your approval if you still meet up with your program's financial requirements.

Medical passed: May 24
Eligibility started: June 8
Hi TomisinFemi,

From the screenshot you published, I could denote that your study permit application is yet to receive a decision - not even internally. The content of the email expresses the MP's inability to expedite your application. Thus, you might want to exercise a little bit of patience and maybe raise an additional webform if you do not receive a decision in a week's time.

Hello Gigdraft,
I submitted the Atip form after visa denial requesting my GCMS/case note to identify the officers concerns for visa refusal. I haven't re-applied again.
Hi Gribs,

I guess you used a third-party website/individual - reason for the consent form. I would advise you to confirm from the third-party if they actually applied for the note on your behalf. If they did, then do not be too bothered. GCMS note sometime takes longer. Hence, you might need to create a friendship with patience pending your request is finally honoured.

I sympathize with you over your refusal.
