Donald Trump (45th President of the United States of America) has become the third US president in history to be impeached by the House of Representatives, setting up a trial in the Senate that will decide whether he remains in office.

The House of Representatives voted on two charges; that Trump abused his power and that he had obstructed Congress. Nearly all Democrats voted for the charges and every Republican against.

However, President Trump’s Republicans control the Senate so it is highly unfeasible he will be removed from power and as voting took place in the House, Mr. Trump was addressing a campaign rally in Battle Creek, Michigan.

He told a cheering crowd:

“While we’re creating jobs and fighting for Michigan, the radical left in Congress is consumed with envy and hatred and rage, you see what’s going on.”

The White House released a statement saying that the president was “confident that he will be fully exonerated” in a Senate trial.

HOW THE VOTING TOOK PLACE
After 10 hours of partisan debate on the merits of the two impeachment charges against President Trump.

The first charge is abuse of power, stemming from Mr. Trump’s alleged attempt to pressure Ukraine to announce investigations into his Democratic political rival, Joe Biden.

It passed by 230 votes to 197, almost completely on party lines. Only two Democrats opposed – New Jersey’s Jeff Van Drew, who is set to leave the party, and Michigan’s Collin Peterson.

The second charge is obstruction of Congress because the president allegedly refused to co-operate with the impeachment inquiry, withholding documentary evidence and barring his key aides from giving evidence.

However, the next line of action is, a trial is set to take place in the Senate in the New Year.

The Republican Party has a majority there, making it almost impossible that the president will be removed from office when senators cast their votes.

For the first time in a long time, my heart is filled with joy!

The 16th day of December 2019 that was supposed to be a casual evening for me ended up being one of the best days of my life. As a matter of fact, at this point in my life, more than ever I can boldly declare publicly that I serve a miracle-working God.

HOW IT ALL STARTED!

Recall that I shared my story on what I went through in the hands of Nigerian singer Wizkid, who wouldn’t give my long time fiance, Tiwa Savage, a breathing space. Despite all my plans and doings to bring an end to the ‘audio’ love (as I believe it to be) he is professing to my fiance, all has been to no avail as ‘OYO’ as been the case for a local man like me. But as the saying goes never to give up on your dream, I didn’t budge.

In that respect, I put up a plan with Teni and hired a couple of my friends that were soldiers to make sure Wizkid gets beaten mercilessly after the show for all his evil deeds.

It’s about time to call off the needless cat and rat fight between the fans of Davido and Wizkid.

Davido expressed his huge disappointment in both his fans and that of Wizkid’s after their supporters took to the internet to share irrational and offensive comments about the parents of the two stars.

It is no longer news that American Rapper, Cardi B, stormed Africa over the last weekend for the first time to perform.

The female rapper visited Nigeria first time and from the view of things, she obviously had a swell time; enjoying, partying and visiting of clubs during her short stay in Nigeria.

However, her Africa tour experience became sour as she had been confronted with several glitches since her arrival in Ghana.

THE MEET AND GREET ‘PALAVA’

The dreadful experience kicked off when Cardi B was supposed to host a meet and greet with some local celebrities which didn’t eventually hold. The so-called celebrities became infuriated particularly when they realized Cardi B was chilling at the poolside.

This didn’t go down well with them as they took to their social media pages and flared up in videos where they put their rage to display about the turn out of events.

Media personality, Afia Schwarzenegger, narrated on social media via a video of how the organizers asked them to come meet Cardi B but just wasted their time. She explained how they were asked to wait until 8:30 pm while the American rapper literally chewed kebab at the poolside.

Singer Wendy Shey also expressed her displeasure for having to wait for over 7 hours to have a lunch date with Cardi B which came out fruitless. She wrote:

“So you guys called us to come have a one on one lunch date with @iamcardib and she has been chewing kebab for 7 hours in her room without showing up.

What do you guys take Ghana celebrities for? This can never happen in Nigeria. Wake ! She is Cardi B and I am WENDY SHAY!”

Other Ghanaian celebrities also showed their displeasure at the reported absence of Cardi B from the planned meet and greet.

However, Cardi B went live on her Instagram page to explain that the meet and greet wasn’t in her contract and wasn’t aware of it.

She further explained that she was in the pool at about 3 pm when she saw some news online about her snubbing some Ghanaian celebrities she was supposed to have a meet and greet with.

She also added that some of these ladies saw her at the pool and were acting so stush instead of walking up to her to remind her about the meet and greet.

Nollywood actress Nneoma Okoro shares her experience with one of Nigeria’s renowned Nollywood, actor Ramsey Nouah.

In the movie ‘Levi’ shot in 2017 in Enugu, Nneoma was supposed to be the A-lister actor’s nurse, a night nurse with a script to seduce him.
The actress was made to play a romantic scene with her self acclaimed idol, Ramsey Nouah, shared that it was indeed an awkward moment for her as she ended up being nervous.

She revealed that the actor noticed that she wasn’t confident enough, so he asked the director for twenty minutes’ recess. Ramsey Nouah then called her outside and showed her a funny clip on YouTube on his phone to help calm her nerves, while they both laughed together.

Nneoma asserted that the actor knew it was their first work together and that she respects artists that understand their craft. “I watched him as a kid and always wanted to work with him,” said Nneoma.
