What can fully be considered to be a cat and rat fight between the fans of the two greatest footballers in the world currently, Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo, could, however, turn out to favor the Messi stans as it appears he most certainly stand a better chance to win the 2019 Ballon D’or.

The award presentation is set to take place today, the 2nd day of December 2019 at the Theatre du Chatelet, Paris, France.

Although, reports have started leaking out of the Spanish press that Lionel Messi will win his record sixth Ballon D’or award today. The superstar who won the 2019 FIFA Player of the year award, no doubt has been consistent and well-deserving of the award.

Virgil Van Dijk of Liverpool, on the other hand, has been the odds-on favorite for months. As big of an impact as Van Dijk has had on Liverpool, it is hard to argue with Messi’s presumed win this year resulting from the fact that Messi has had one of the all-time best seasons of his great career.

A witty comment about why Messi could win ahead of Van Dijk once read, ‘Messi has done what very few players have failed at, getting past the center-back’.

This year’s award was always going to come down to either Messi or Dijk. Without doubts, you will agree that Ronaldo’s time is slowly passing and any number of other candidates including the likes of Sterling, Sadio Mane are more deserving.

The youngest person to play James Bond in 1969 at 29-year-old, George Lazenby has revealed he slept with a lot of women when he was in his prime.

George, 80, in an interview with The Herald-Sun on Sunday, revealed he has likely slept with more than a thousand women in his time, adding: ‘I would go through six girls a week in London.’

Enunciating about his promiscuous life at that time, George, who is the only Australian to have ever played 007, said:

‘It was the time of the pill, mini-skirts, the girls were crazy. You had to run and hide after a while.’

The legendary star admitted the rumor of him bedding a thousand women was true, explaining: ‘There wasn’t anything better to do. I don’t know, I never counted but it went on from 1964 until 1980 when AIDS came in. I didn’t want to die for it.’

DMW Boss, Davido has revealed that there’s no rift between him and fellow singer, Wizkid as opposed to popular belief.

The popular singer made this revelation in a recent interview he had in the United States.

Davido, in the interview, said that although he and Wizkid had owned their differences in the past, he revealed it was more because they were quite young during those periods.

He said being the two biggest Nigerian artistes, all they are focused on now is moving the Afrobeats culture forward rather that go at each other’s throats.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tacha was welcomed to Ghana with a thrilling performance by a cultural group at the airport.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Gedoni has revealed that his relationship with fellow reality star, Khafi has gotten to the permanent site.

Just like 2018 Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemates Teddy A and Bambam, it appears followers of the reality show are about to witness another interesting love story between Gedoni and Khafi.

It would be recalled that the duo got involved during their stay in the house but it was shortlived due to the eviction of Gedoni.

However, since the end of the show, the duo has been repeatedly asked about chances of continuing their relationship and each time they have given their fans something to gush about.

Anytime people hear Lagos, the civilization and its risks that follow come to mind first. Lagos is a home for all and sundry, however, if care is not taken could also be a very dangerous place to visit let alone live.

Have you ever gotten scared for not encountering traffic at a particular spot in Lagos before? This may sound weird but such occurrence freak Lagosians out, like ‘what the hell is happening? Why is there no traffic here, today?!!!’

You will agree with me that the routinary 9 am to 5 pm work time in Lagos is actually not the way it is… So many of us wake up on/or before 5 am in the morning, go get a bus at the bus station and still likely end up being stuck in traffic that might last for hours before eventually arriving at your place of work. The same situation will most certainly replicate itself when you’re going back home after work and you end up getting to your home very late at night.

The scenario above is what many Lagosians have had to deal with over the years and are still dealing with because man must chop.

Nevertheless, if man must chop, man must also be very vigilant with the way he shuttles around Lagos. It would not be fair to go through all the stress attached to residing in Lagos and still end up getting robbed in the process of going about your day to day activities.

PRESSING YOUR PHONE WHILE WAITING AT THE BUS STOP IS RISKY!

Phones are one of the things that keep Lagosians unbothered when stuck in traffic sometimes and having that phone snatched away from you can be heartbreaking as hell.

At every bus stop, there’s always a thief with a bike that is waiting for you to carelessly bring out your phone and start pressing it. The moment he sights your phone from afar, he drives by as fast as possible and like the rapture, your dear phone has been borrowed till eternity.

I’ve experienced two scenarios where this happened and I wouldn’t want the same to happen to you.

DON’T EVER ‘LOOSE-GUARD’ WHEN RUSHING TO GET A BUS

Like I said earlier, there are thieves at every bus stop, however, this is a different scenario because the thief here doesn’t need a bike to steal from you.

While you’re waiting at the bus stop, he(the thief) most certainly has been observing whether your phone or other valuables were carelessly placed in your pocket. He patiently waits for a bus to drop by and in the process of you rushing to get a seat, without hassle, he takes whatever he’s been keeping tabs on.

The sad thing is you would not have noticed something has been stolen from your pocket because your attention at that point was to make sure you get a sit.

According to Transport for London (TfL), Uber will not be granted a new licence to operate in London.

The regulator said the taxi app was not “fit and proper” as a licence holder, despite having made a number of positive changes to its operations.

Uber originally lost its licence in 2017 due to safety concerns but was granted a 15-month extension. The firm says it will appeal against the decision and can continue to operate during that process.

It had received an additional two-month extension in September which expired on Sunday.

Uber has faced resistance from regulators and traditional taxi services in a range of countries after being dogged by controversy for a number of years.

Helen Chapman, Director of Licensing, Regulation and Charging at TfL, said:

“As the regulator of private hire services in London we are required to make a decision today on whether Uber is fit and proper to hold a licence. Safety is our absolute top priority.


“While we recognise Uber has made improvements, it is unacceptable that Uber has allowed passengers to get into minicabs with drivers who are potentially unlicensed and uninsured.”

However, Uber said the decision was “extraordinary and wrong” through Jamie Heywood, regional general manager for Northern & Eastern Europe at Uber.

American rapper, French Montana is being hospitalized in Los Angeles after suffering scary cardiac issues, intense nausea, and getting an unexpected visit from cops to his home.

TMZ reports French was rushed to a hospital by ambulance on Thursday, November 21, 2019, around 1:30 PM after receiving a call to his Calabasas home for a possible robbery which later turned out to be a false alarm.

However, the responding deputies determined French was acting abnormal and seemed out of it. Sources connected to the rapper revealed he’d been suffering severe stomach pains, nausea and perhaps most alarmingly … an elevated heart rate.

French was taken to a San Fernando Valley hospital, and he’s awake and alert right now. He’s getting treatment that includes IV fluids and is expected to be released later today.

American model Slick Woods has revealed the sad news that she is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment.

The 23-year-old rose to prominence after starring in Rihanna’s ad campaigns for her cosmetics line Fenty Beauty back in 2017 shocked her fans when she announced the news on an Instagram post on Wednesday night that she was undergoing chemotherapy. ‘How I feel about chemotherapy, shout out to everyone that gotta go through it #atleastimalreadybald,” Woods wrote as she captioned the photo of herself with boyfriend Micky Munday and a group of friends.

The Shade Room has reported that Slick exclusively told them that she’s battling stage 3 melanoma, also known as skin cancer. The cancer is spreading, she said, and she’s fighting for her life.

Condolences immediately poured in, with fans all over imploring her to stay strong.

Her boyfriend Micky also showed his support and said: ‘U got this,’ alongside a guitar emoji.

One fan who has battled a similar ordeal commented: ‘You got this Queen #wearesurvivors ��� you have my support. I’m a stage 4 lymphoma cancer survivor #6years.’ Another encouraging fan said: ‘Naw Chemo better watch out for you #FIGHT.’

Actress Taraji P. Henson also shared some positivity, writing, “you are already on the other side of this heathy and strong like it never happened. I adore you.”

Tacha and Mercy have continued to brew unconfirmed controversy through their various posts on social media.

During their stay in the Big brother house, the duo were formidable forces who steered clear of each other while in the house. They related cordially but it was obvious to viewers that they were both pretending to be friends.

Their pretense, however, could not be hidden for so long as they both got into a heated argument that led to the disqualification of Tacha from the show.


A few weeks later, after the reality show had ended, Mercy affirmed in a video that Tacha and her were homey and asked the fans to also get along. However, it seems the coziness didn’t last long enough to keep the fans from establishing a rivalry.

Some indirect shades from the reality stars have, however, suggested the two still harbor some unsettled beef.

First, Mercy was seen advising young ladies aspiring to contest in BBNaija reality show to play according to the rules and avoid being disqualified but be evicted normally. Mercy, via her Instagram story, threw another subtle shade at Tacha in reaction to the twerking video Tacha posted. She captioned the video, “I don’t dance on Instagram anymore, I now make money moves, bloody money moves.”
