Congratulations!

I submitted mine on 29th of July and did Bio on 17th of August but I am yet to see my application id on the list. Mine is an employment visa though maybe that is why.

I hope I see mine next week or is the timeline for employment visas different?

Thanks!

I hope you get yours soon too, I don’t know if the timeline is different, I think you should direct that question to Icasng.

Greetings, please I tried tracking my application on UPS and I saw this... does it mean the embassy has sent my documents to UPS without seeing my number on the decision list?
Yes, they do that sometimes.

@ Adekemiejiro was your number uploaded in any of the weekly reports(Abuja or Dublin)? If yes, what day?

Sorry about the denial btw, don’t worry your appeal will be successful, “defeat may serve as well as victory to shake the soul and let the glory out.” Edwin Markham

Good afternoon house, My brother in the US who happens to be my sponsor tried booking an appointment yesterday for me using his credit card but they sent on my mail that my appointment has been declined due to payment failure. That I would not be able to resechdule a fresh appointment up to 24hours.

Is that that the appointment fee must be paid in Nigeria naira? What should I do now?

I don’t know if it has to be paid in Naira but I faced the same issue while attempting it with different Nigerian debit cards. It kept on telling me the same thing it told your bro until I used another computer, the problem is probably not the card but the computer or phone he is using. However, you need to use your personal card at VFS.

You don’t need to wait for 24 hours though there’s a way around it. Hope it helps!

Do you mean yet to submit my supporting documents at VFS or yet to submit the online application?

I had already submitted the online application and was already given a Transaction number.

Can i still start the application again? Will i be given another transaction number?

You can’t edit this particular application anymore but you can start afresh, you’d be given another transaction number.

Well, I think most of us who submitted on 27th July didn't do the biometric, I think they just input our data manually into the system.

I'd expect that by now they should have already sent the documents to the embassy though...

Are they really calling people back to come and do the biometric ??

I submitted on the 27th and I was called yesterday to go for my biometrics today but they later called to cancel.

Good morning, for those that submitted appeal, does the embassy also post the decision on the weekly list they upload on Sunday or how do you know when a decision has been made?

They post decisions for both appeals and new applications on Sunday.

I think we that want to submit our applications can send a mail of this format to abujavisaoffice@dfa.ie and/or visamail@justice.ie

‘Hello,

I am a prospective Irish study visa applicant from Nigeria, I have been trying to book an appointment in order to submit my application but it has not been successful (I have been getting this message “There are no open seats available for selected center - Ireland Visa Application Centre, Lagos”), and walk in applications are allowed.

In addition, VFS accepts Irish visa applications only on Mondays which in turn makes it almost impossible to get an appointment if or when they become available due to the huge number of applicants.

My school would be resuming soon and I fear my application will not be assessed before then. Thank you in anticipation of your rapid resolution.

Blah blah,
Blah blah blah,’

What do you guys think, Is it a bit selfish for us to send a mail of this form having the whole Corvid situation in mind.

Make sure you don’t go if you’ve not booked an appointment though, they won’t attend to you. I learnt that the hard way.

Vfs fee is now 29800 as compared to the previous 19800; this however excludes the Irish study visa fee . I personally advised my clients to go to the vfs office with nothing less than 50,000 excluding the vfs fee which is been paid online at the moment before you can get an appointment.

Would I be attended to at vfs if I have not booked an appointment?

Please do you know if vfs lagos as started collecting applications yet?

You can book your appointment with the link below, for some reason only 06/07/2020 and 13/07/2020 are available in Lagos. I have been trying to book an appointment but I have been getting errors upon errors, I will still go there on the 6th though.

Has anyone gotten a mail from the embassy, stating if their application is successful or not?
I went to VFS Lekki on Monday (22nd), they’ve not started accepting visa applications for Ireland yet. Although they have for some other countries, if I can remember correctly Denmark, Norway and Italy only. I heard they will start on Monday (29th) I’m not sure though.
