My neighbour who is a doctor cleaned and covered the wound and am waiting for my husband to give me the money next week so I can take her to the hospital
hospital[/quote]You see why it's great for women to be gainfully employed before getting into marriage or while in the marriage?
Seriously, things won't get to this extent if you are.

Whenever I tell women close to me to be gainfully employed, most of them see it as me attacking them, not knowing that I am saving their lives.

It's so risky to depend only on a husband these days.

Those victims can only be TIV speaking tribe from Benue. Jukun and Tiv have refused to settle the age long scourge of land dispute in Dan-Anacha . I escaped the cross fire by whisker in that town in year 2000 as a secondary sch student there, now the once beautiful town is a desert. I wept passing there to Jalingo NYSC camp two yrs back
This is the same story for me. We ran back home in year 2000 while still in primary school because of this same conflict. Nawa oh!

Brother man, stop contemplating sucide. I was just like you- very depressed this January. My comment is even on the Federal Government Salary thread. I made a very shocking and depressing comment in January like this with another moniker tho cos I finished NYSC since last year, and no job and nothing but I didn't give in. I started browsing through the business section of this Nairaland hoping to find a legitimate online business. I scrolled and scrolled, eventually I found one which turns out to be fake tho after I have wasted 1,500 that I even had to borrow and promised to pay back in 3 weeks time.
While doing that, I have already knew about this thread and registered, but I wasn't contacted back for the first two times I register till I tweak my registration details in the third attempt.

I eventually found a particular thread on the business section that says make 20k weekly for doing simple tasks, and I thought it was a lie and scam like the first one I did and was scammed of my 1,500 but because I was desperate and wanted to make money online. I had to borrow another money and I paid #2,500 hoping and praying for it not to scam and it was that same week that I was contacted for this LatinHire and passed this entrance test. Now, I have made #15,500 from that Oppurtunity I saw on this nairaland within 17 days plus I have answered over 50 questions on this LatinHire too which Is equally on Nairaland.

Bro, don't give up, I was once like you, explore this Nairaland very well, there's enough opportunities on it.
Baba please can you contact me via the WhatsApp no on my signature or drop ur number. I have sent you a dm now though.
CareerRe: How I Turned Writing Into A Money Spinning Career...and How You Too Can! by Glistinin(m): 2:06pm On Feb 27, 2020
HealthPreneur:
"Oh my, this guy is reading out my stuff", I muttered with bated breath as I sat in the large auditorium, housing a crowd of students, teachers and various onlookers.

Turning my neck to the right, my eyes locked onto the smiling face of Mr. Aliyu, my beloved English teacher, which acknowledged that it really was my article being dramatized by the spoken-word poet to hundreds of folks that afternoon.

After this guy read what felt like mine, the unexpected happened!

Out of about 20 candidates from different secondary schools in Niger State, my name was called and the host invited me to the centre stage to bag two certificates that awarded me, 1st positions in Poetry & Short Story Writing.

Walking down the stairs to the stage, under the eyes of everyone, it felt like I was dreaming so I had to pinch myself. It was a subtle mix of surprise and pleasure, which felt really good!

Just like it takes forever for a young man to realize he has feelings for his best friend and should treat the relationship with her, seriously, I played with writing but didn't realize how good I was until that fateful day, in March 2011.

Sparked by this momentous event, I was driven over the next few years, during which I cooked more than 10 poems and 2 songs. Then, I lost my muse...

Those good old memories of past glory were no longer enough to spark my creative juices! I needed something more!

In February 2013, the tides began to rise in my favour when I started blogging with WordPress and via social media, to boost sales in my very first business; a network-marketing partnership with a nutritional brand in South Africa.

Vividly, I still remember, the very first customer I got, online. This stranger, who saw my obviously compelling write-up about a dietary supplement on Naijapals.com, called my line to order a delivery to his residence in Palmgroove, Lagos. I was a bit scared but excited!

That ushered me into a journey, till date, of copywriting, receiving & delivering orders and making money, while I watched my customers break free from disease and grow in health! Finally, I had an unquenching sense of purpose!

Besides network marketing, which significantly improved and monetized my talent with words, I invested my writing ability into other inspiring exploits, over the years...

...from co-founding a community-centric empowerment initiative, setting up an online consulting firm within the Health & Beauty industry to recently running another initiative for bloggers & writers!

Admittedly, I've learnt a whole lot more from my failures than from my successes as well as from the experiences of numerous influential entrepreneurs, home and abroad.

Reflecting on those salad days of mine, as far back as 2011, I extracted two profound truths that you should ponder on, right now.

Firstly, when you do what you're good at, you'll eventually hit the roof and cease moving. However, when you do what you are passionate about, you'll hit through that roof and keep moving higher!

Moreover, this truth ferries good news to you, if you think you're not particularly talented, in writing for instance.

In the presence of unbridled passion, your talent grows, as it was in my case. And if talent doesn't exist, a skill will grow in its place! And if you persist, success will be inevitable!

Secondly, passion is the key to cease surviving and start living & growing through life!

The Irish novelist, Oscar Wilde, once admitted that to live is the rarest thing in the world for most people just exist!

In the presence of unbridled passion, you never get bored for you have a higher sense of purpose!

So, unto the million-naira question - "How can you discover your passion and deploy it through the untold power of writing, even if you're not a talented writer, like Shakespeare?"

I have a proposal, for you!

Have you been blogging or writing but still struggle with low visibility and engagement from readers out there?

Want to turn your love for writing into a career that will eventually make you well known and get you well paid?

Like the idea of growing your followership to the point where it doesn't just spin you money but open up new doors of opportunities, for you?
