I still insist that the mail is not from cbn, ask the person that contacted you from cbn to give you more details about your complain and other informations about you.

babe it is from cbn. I copied them when I sent the scam case to the frauddesk email of first bank and they sent me confirmed reliable info that are too personal to share here.

Everyday that wakes, I fear that people are getting more and more evil! Is it now a rarity to have a companion that can give you peace of mind?

You can approach the Branch for your CRM number or case ID from the customer service officer.

The case was not logged in at all. They abandoned it. So I am skeptical about getting it but I will still go there first thing Monday morning

Very true. If you have an acknowledgement copy of the complaint letter you sent them, you can provide that to the CBN letting them know that you are yet to receive any formal response from your bank. There's always a definite timeframe for resolution of complaints, which a alone is an infraction, if not honoured by the Bank.

A few minutes ago, I got an email from CBN telling me to send the tracking number that my bank sent me about the case to them.

The issue now is that First Bank never sent me any tracking number because they abandoned my case after sending me there usual useless liaise with law enforcement agency nonsense. After writing a letter at one of there branches, whenever I visit the bank, I got told that my letter has not been replied!

Please guys how do I get this tracking number since the bank is not forthcoming.

I have lost several money in the past though. But I don't want this guy to go free.

He was a admin of the group with over 8k+ and 3k+ pics of open transactions.

I have been to 3 police stations including panti and they keep saying they can't do it. "I will spend too much" according to what they keep saying. That it doesn't worth the stress. That I should forget about it.

So, pls I need someone here to help me with a police officer that can help me get a court order without stressing myself in Lagos.

I was scammed on telegram too this year. People needed to be warned that telegram has turned into a den of robbers!

We do the same job as mentioned by the OP but a professional relationship.

After that, you will reduce their chances of scamming another person with any of their detail like phone or bank account.

Please read careful and learn.
Some Nairalanders and many socia media users and shoppers have been scammed at one point or the other, either large bucks or small money and It's quite painful.
Many people don't always know what to do, so today am sharing with you things you do, when you realize a page you paid for a service or goods is ghosting you:

1. Screenshot all previous chats across all messaging app (IG and WhatsApp or FB).


2. Write out the Full name and account number of the page or person.


3. Go to the last notification your bank sent you after you made the payment (via mobile app or text)


4. copy out the "TRANSACTION ID NUMBER".


5. Go to any branch of the scam artist's bank (the bank the scammer uses), ask to see the CUSTOMER SERVICE in charge of FRAUD.


6. If you can, print out all those chats with the scammer, and submit it. While you are there, send an email to SCAMMER'S BANK and copy CBN FRAUD DESK (ethicsoffice@cbn.​gov.ng OR anticorruptionunit@cbn.gov.ng.)

This will ginger the bank to take it up fast.
What should you expect from this? The culprit/suspects account will be PLACED ON HOLD. Meaning he/she cannot transfer or withdraw until they visit the bank, and when they do, the bank will contact the police and the suspect when proven guilty will sign a waiver allowing the bank to refund your money.
