I sold fortwortheventplanners last week, one of the names I registered when I just started, but later realized geo names and outbound wasn't for me. The name sold for $99 without outbound. I just checked today and realized it was listed for $2999 at DAN. Obviously, a domainer bought it for resale. Just sharing this to encourage you guys dealing with geos to learn to correctly price your names.

Not entirely true. SH doesn't even have the kind of networks and traffic that heavyweight domain platforms like Afternic, Sedo, etc have. You are talking about being lost in a sea of names, is it SH that is not saturated now?

Don't be so sure. Such a domain needs to be seen by the buyer. When they see it, they get an "aha " moment. SH has to bring such names to buyers" attention, otherwise such a name will be lost in a sea of names at afternic, sedo or wherever.

Of course. That's a catchy and unique name for the beauty industry. Though I am not downplaying the influence of SH.

It will be easy for you if you are taking uber or bolt. Just put "Zion Prayer Movement Outreach" as the destination on the app. It will surely take you there but if you will prefer to board a bus there from ogba. Its a bit easy also. Just take a bus from ogba busstop or berger busstop to oshodi. Alight at oshodi busstop and take another bus going to Mile 2 and alight at cele busstop. Take a keke to ago Palace and alight hossana Estate.

From Ogba, take a bus to Oshodi, if it’s a bit hard to get, take a bus to Ikeja along, you’ll get a bus going to Oshodi.

From oshodi; enter 100 naira bus to Cele express

From Cele, take a bus 100 or 150 to ago roundabout/ okota

Ago is kinda vast. For easier passage, at the roundabout in front of First Bank, take a bike to the church.

Deji, many people don't understand the rudiments of business. Sincerely, I can say domaining is get rich quick scheme. You know why? Years back when I was fully in offline business before I took ill, I had a shop in computer village selling ICT products especially mobile phones. My sales girl sold small Nokia phone for N2,500 then to a customer. The cost of that phone is N2,480. So, I actually make less than N20 profit per phone because the phone doesn't come with earpiece and it has radio phone. I've to import earpiece from China to sell these phones because customers will not buy without earpiece. But a guy but the phone and the next day came back to say it's not working. He carelessly handled and spoiled it. he came back and insulted the hell out of my life for less than N20 profit. That same day I sold a domain in thousands of dollars. It was as if I was just wasting my time in trading.

Now, how many phones am I going to sell to make $1,000 just like that? If you understand this business and master the ABC of domaining, even if it is $2,000 you make a whole year in profits, you're better than contract staff in banks who are earning N60,000 to N80,000 per month.

The problem with majority of aspiring online entrepreneurs is that they want to make money the same way they touch their Android screen with ease and it responds. They don't want to invest in themselves or in their education. With all my vast experience and knowledge in online businesses, I still buy courses here and there. Some come as complete bullsh*t even from the white guys but I move on.

All we need to succeed is a system and a process. Don't give up. Be focused, determined and patient while you learn. Always assume zero knowledge about anything. You'll ask some people to read from page one, they will say no and still come here to complain of no sales. I started domain business years before this thread was created. But when I discovered it, I glued to it. I even learn from newbies' contributions some times.

Name got accepted on SH for $2299 but got sold on afternic at a higher price of $2999.

This is not an excuse, pal. Go and open domiciliary account and request dollar MasterCard. You can buy anything you want as much as you fund your account with dollars. If you cannot fund your account with dollars but you live in a town or close to a town where there are banks, you don't have excuse about $20 limit please.
