And mine isn't a renewal, it's a new registered DL which I was given a temporary one last month, I've been texted since last week to come collect the permanent one, but na today I got the chance to go for it cos the temporary one would expire in 5 days time.

You can start driving but please go and do your inspection as soon as possible without wasting time.

I checked and there's already a red alert on my profile, stating that my DL (temporary) will expire soon.

@ glithronix, 5w30 is synthetic oil. Few partners use synthetic oil for servicing the car. So confirm from your partner if he has been using 5w30....

From what I gathered, it's best practice to stick with the oil you have been using previously ( even if it's not the manufacturer specificied 5w30 VS 20w50.)

I seriously doubt if the steering rack is faulty, check the pump.
If there's oil in the can yet the pump make noise when turning it means your pump is not pumping but if the can is empty of oil especially when you step on your break then your rack is bad.
So be sure which is faulty b4 u start throwing money up and down.
