Okay.

Before you criticize, ask yourself why are Nigerian students going to Iran to study?

Soon Indonesia Russia Poland Thailand etc will seek to build campuses in Nigeria to reduce the inflow of Nigerian students.

Are Nigerians going to those countries to gain educational knowledge?
There are other benefits in seeking admission outside the country, govt should just fix this country, the freedom in Naija can not be compared with any other country.

Yeah I like glo walahi. Data cheap for ordinary small countries like ghana. I no know why Naija own different. Thank God for glo. But their network poor compared to Airtel and Etisalat sha. They need to improve on that. Mtn is not any better joor.

When there is steady power supply in Ghana, I heard some of glo mast were not on national grid in nigeria, permanently on generator with unstable price of diesel. Nigeria is jinxed as regards power.

Am proud of Nigerian made products o, but I need to be enlightened, are those vehicles
Manufactured or Assembled in Nigeria?

We had cars assembled in Nigeria way back in the 80s like VW by VWON in Lagos, Peugeot by PAN in Kaduna and Mercedes truck by ANAMCO in the East and they were not referred to as been manufactured in Nigeria. The only one tagged "manufactured in Nigeria" was EDDYBONGO in 1984.

Waiting for constructive criticism from informed senior citizens.

Culture / OTUNBA Gani Adams Installation Speech by globatop: 10:06pm On Jan 14, 2018
For The Records...

SPEECH BY OTUNBA (DR.) GANI ADAMS AT HIS INSTALLATION AS THE 15TH AARE ONA KAKANFO OF YORUBALAND BY THE ALAAFIN OF OYO, IKU BABA YEYE, HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, OBA LAMIDI OLAYIWOLA ADEYEMI III.

Date: Saturday, January 13, 2018
Venue: Dunbar Stadium, Oyo town.
Time: 11am

PROTOCOLS

Mo juba awon Aare Ona Kakanfo to siwaju mi:

1. Kokoro Gangan of Iwoye

2. Oyapote of Iwoye

3. Oyabi of Ajase

4. Adeta of Jabata

5. Oku of Jabata

6. Afonja of Ilorin

7. Toyeje of Ogbomoso

8. Edun of Gbogun

9. Amepo of Abemo

10. Kurumi of Ijaiye

11. Ojo Aburumaku of Ogbomoso (son of Toyeje of Ogbomosho)

12. Latoosa of Ibadan

13. Ladoke Akintola of Ogbomoso

14. M.K.O. Abiola of Abeokuta

There cannot be a more humbling occasion for me as the one we are in today.
Against the backdrop of the size of the office the Iku Baba Yeye, His Imperial Majesty, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi III, has bestowed on me and the larger than life image of my predecessors, my installation as the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo is a challenge that has made all past challenges seem like a child’s play.

Though I am just stepping into the office, past occupants of the seat, especially the 13th and 14th occupants - Aare Samuel Ladoke Akintola and Aare Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola - brought so much power and glamour to the office that it is obvious I have a lot of work to do. As astute businessmen and politicians of note, they raised the profile of the office.

There is no doubt from the reactions that followed my pronouncement by the Alaafin of Oyo as the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo that the power and prestige of the office has not waned since it was created centuries ago by Alaafin Ajagbo.

In fact, the epoch-making event of today is symbolic as 2018 marks the 558th anniversary of the installation of the first Aare Ona Kakanfo – Kokoro Gangan of Iwoye.

It is of interest to note that the military, political, traditional and cultural symbolism of the title to the Yoruba Empire, about 600 years ago, is still of strategic importance in the 21st Century.

This attribute reveals the uniqueness of the Yoruba race and shows that so much is still expected of the occupant of the post, despite the fact that physical and armed wars are no longer the order of the day.

In fact, despite the fact that I am an holder of 52 traditional titles, none has drawn as much comments and commendation by way of letters and visits.

The import of the Office still stands: protection of the interests of Yoruba race, both within the country and everywhere else people of the race exist.

While it is estimated that there are 60 million Yoruba within Nigeria and about 200 million others scattered all over the world, as a starting point, the preservation of the culture of the race will occupy my attention.

Pitiably, as a race, we are gradually losing our culture. In fact, from my travels around the world, it has become obvious that people of other races are taking more interest in our culture than we the owners of the culture, with Americans, Europeans and Asians now earning Degrees in the study of our culture, beliefs and what they have come to term Doctrine. We need to preserve our culture to fully realize the potential of the Yoruba.

Though with an activist background, it is now clear that I have to do more as a bridge builder with this new responsibility.

In as much as the focus of my struggle has changed over the years from the heady days of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) to the spread of our culture through the formation of the Oodua Progressive Union (OPU), which is now in 79 countries, the Olokun Festival Foundation, Gani Adams Foundation and many others, this new responsibility, despite my age, has unwittingly forced the stature of a statesman on me.

I promise to live up to that calling.

In this regard, I will work with our traditional rulers, grassroots leaders and have good rapport with all stakeholders, no matt

The bridge is important in decongesting traffic as well as safety, imagine a vehicle crossing from one side of the express to the other, I had bitter eexperience at ijebu ode junction of shagamu benin expressway, my car was almost crushed by a truck while crossing the Expressway. Religion / Re: Father Mbaka: "Why Atiku Should Be President Of Nigeria In 2019" by globatop: 7:46pm On Dec 15, 2017
HeyCorleone:
I didn't bother reading thru.

This man called Father Mbaka is a disgrace unto himself. He's made himself a political prostitute. With the kind of prophecies and revelation he makes, you begin to wonder what kind of God he serves. First he said Jonathan is the man God has ordained for Nigeria. When shit hit the fan, he changed his dance steps and went on the side of Buhari. He didn't do that peacefully. While at it he hurled insults at Jonathan and even accused his wife of trying to assassinate him. What rubbish.

All in a bid not to lose Presidential favours.

Now he's dancing to the tune of Atiku so that when he wins he won't lose out of favours. Why doesn't he just afford himself a little respect. He's a Catholic priest for Chrissakes. And one thing peculiar about them is they don't meddle in Political affairs. This man is just a black sheep.

Makes me very unproud of being a Catholic.

Why are these men of God mocking the name of God?
All their prophesies about God annointed presidency has not come to fruition. This atiku that does not know the meaning of restructuring, no Northern presidency will support restructuring, even no incumbent president from any part of nigeria will ever support restructuring for obvious reasons.
Mbaka and any man of God should just educate the masses not to sell their votes, rather follow our minds.

Buhari govt and her agents have reduced Nigerians to IDP status queuing for christmas rice every christmas since he came and they expect Nigerians to see it as an achievement forgetting that before they came Nigerians took rice for granted and didnt have to queue for it to celebrate christmas ..I used to buy more than 50 bags of rice every christmas to distribute to people aroind but since last christmas I have stopped because of the the bad economy on my pocket

You are the reason why naira will not appreciate and still complain of high cost of commodities. The rice u were buying was imported, now Nigerians are growing rice u are still complaining, must we remain in economic slavery?

Foreign Affairs / Re: Thousands March Against Robert Mugabe In Harare (Photos) by globatop: 2:45pm On Nov 18, 2017
Why are African leader refuse to quit stage, even if one is performing, 8-10 years is enough to fulfill ur dream and quit the stage for others to prove themselves, the sit tight presidents are the cause of bad leaders preceeding them. If obj was never interested in 3rd term, he would have shopped for a better replacement than Yardua/Jonathan he hurriedly package for Nigerians. Similarly, why should gaddafi be planning his son as his successor or Grace as successor to Mugabe, are they practicing monarchy system of govt?

Even if the West does not like an African leader, he then should not play to gallery, because if people are tired of a system, they could knowingly choose a devil to rule over them just to observe change. I really feel bad about Libya condition after gaddafi.

Career / Re: Nut Writes El-rufai Over Sack Of 21,780 Teachers by globatop: 7:49am On Nov 07, 2017
The way unionism is used in Nigeria is negatively affecting development.

Fayemi of ekiti did similar thing and it cost him his 2nd term. The civil servants ganged up against him, but today, the incumbent govt is taking the Glory as the state had the best result in ssce.

We have enough qualified graduates roaming the streets yet the mediocres are filling the job positions.

That is the reason marks are lowered in the North for the purpose of entering unity schools.
This qouta system should be abolished so the North will know where they are in scheme of things.
Reason for almajiri and useful tools for bokoharam.
