Politics / Re: We Need Good Leadership In The SE Not Biafra. by globatop: 3:59am On Nov 12, 2015
@op, u couldn't have put it better than this, even it applies to the whole Nigerian state, what we need is change of our mindsets, every local govt and state are responsible for whoever emerges as chairman or governor, if those elected officials are mismanaging the little allocation from fg, this same pple will run biafra state with the same mindset, hence the revolution should start from within.

Most electorate was aware of financial blunders of the last regime, but it was pple of this region(South East) that was clamoring for it to continue to 2019, yet 2nd Niger bridge remain a Mirage.

Agriculture / Re: My First Plantain Merchandise To Lagos... by globatop: 5:24am On Nov 05, 2015
@djdoxxx,

Nice thread and nice job, quite educative and informative.

I followed this thread and read all the post, but in as much I appreciated your efforts, ur first merchandise was not conclusive as u did not update us on whether it was profitable or otherwise, secondly lack of pictures of the plantain to determine the size and state of the plantain with respect to price makes comparative analysis difficult.

But I give kudos to u and ur team for ur effort on information disseminations, am also a starter at plantain farming trying to tap knowledge from all the good people of this forum both in merchandising and farming.

I pray for successful endeavour for all, bountiful harvesting and profitable merchandising.

Agriculture / Re: Farmers Seek New Credit Policy For Agriculture by globatop: 4:38pm On Oct 30, 2015
The repayment plan of BOA loan is not coducive for farmers at all, BOA expected farmers to start serving agric loan 3months after it was disbursed. Which agric product can u harvest in 3 months apart from vegetative produce.

At least agric loan repayment should start after first harvest. Considering plantain plantation that will be harvested after 9month's or cocoa and palm tree.

Loans are supposed to be paid from proceeds, not taking another loan to service the other

Really wondering if we all think change should be a physical thing.
The change may not be the characters of the player but the mindset of the characters.
Merely saying stealing is now corruption and enabling all the laws that will make everyone answerable to his deeds is change.
You wouldn't expect Buhari to appoint those that were not part of the struggles to reap where they did not sow.
Some youth are even worst evil.
Politics / Re: I’m Running Lagos N3bn Less Than Fashola Did – Ambode by globatop: 5:17pm On Oct 07, 2015
Somebody should tell Ambode to stop destroying the legacy that provided him with opportunity of becoming governor.
Fashola's achievements were the inroad for APC campaign and success at the polls both in Lagos and Nigeria.
Why should Ambode burn the bridge the that linked him to success.
If u destroy fashola now, remember 2019 it may affect u and APC in general.

A new Sheriff in town, pdp is to be blamed for lapses now discovered by apc, but remember Tinubu has been docked before. If whoever is witch hunted is guilty, he should face the law, at times I wonder whether nigeria problem is leadership or followerships .

Nigeria is inching into corruption free state, either selective or not, we dont need to prosecute all at once, but to instill fear into corrupt minds.
Corrupt individuals are all over the world, but the fear of prosecution and reprisals kept them at bay. Stealing is now corruption and punishable and no impunity.

Career / Re: 8 Reasons You Should Never Take A Private School Teaching Job by globatop: 8:02pm On Aug 24, 2015
When what is DESIRABLE is not AVAILABLE then what is AVAILABLE becomes DESIRABLE.

Our govt prefer projects that can boost their ego than those that can solve masses problem. Is building of universities more important than creating enabling environments for job creation.

Then our entrepreneurs will rather invest on short term profit yielding ventures like private uni than to create adequate jobs for the masses.

God deliver the masses.

@Sheyihman
Gone through ur breakdown and found some of ur costing ridiculous.

Though am still a learner in this industry, I may not have enough experience to disproof all ur claims, but listed below could not be true.
1. What part of Nigeria will u lease an hectare of land for #3,000
2. Where will u get Labour to apply herbicide on an hectare of land for just #2,200
3. Who will plant an hectare of land for just #1,200
4. How many Labour will harvest 1800 pcs of watermelon for just #2,000.
Remember one hectare of land is six plots.
No where all over Nigeria where u could get Labour below #1,000 excluding xportation to farm and feeding. Ur #32,000 analysis will not be enough to rent one acre of farmland, weeding and clearing. Be practical.

Majority of ur likes are out to sell ebooks of which the content are not practicable and the analysis not feasible.
Ur action could make one bankrupt rather than millionaire.
That's why some forex experts are good at training rather than trading.

The location is not as important as the sector of agric, like animal farming and plantations.

The iniative of the op is quite laudable, a directory of farmers has been created, but we can move a step closer to each other if farmers group can be created on whatsapp or bbm group. Whoever knows how could crate the group while others join. Just an idea.

I must commend everyone for a good job on this forum, God bless all.

Yorubas are never tribalistic in politics, we are the most sophisticated political animal in Nigerian politics. We never voted on sentimental lines, we have ideology, forget few black sheeps that can sell their mind (mother) for money.

In Yorubas you will find the best political analyst like Bola Tinubu, (The Awo of present days). He has the best political calculations.

Obasanjo was never supported by yorubas in 1999, Jonathan was highly favored in 2011 by the yorubas, how then can u term yorubas as tribal politicians.

When Jonathan was not running a credible govt, we turned our back on him based on ideology.

Ibos are tribalistic and politically naive, you rejected your credible son Ngige as gov because of the hate you have for Bola Tinubu and ACN. You supported Jonathan because of your corrupt people in his govt. Due to your political immaturity you rejected Ngige again as senator, hence losing the position of Senate President in the next dispensation.

It will take the will of God for SE to produce president in this country because at the same time if such is zoned to SE, every Igbo citizen will come out as candidates.

Bola Tinubu you hate so much has been a liberating factor in Nigeria. Due to his political mathematics and his magnanimity, he United the opposition parties to wrestle power from the devourer party PDP. Long live Bola Tinubu, long South west, long live Nigeria.
