A guy who is a christian and claims to be born again (has even given himself an A pass mark on being a good christian) and wants to make heaven, slapped and beats up his fiancee mercilessly in a senior family friend's house two months ago and the next day when the lady went to meet him at work to show him how swollen her face was and how red her eye was, (even though wen she got there, she met only one guy inside the office with him, so no other person knew what was going), the guy immediately ran after her when she had left the office, walking to her car and gave her the beating of her life, in the full glare of a lot of people outside the supermarket where he works, to the extent that she was rolling on the floor with injuries.
Now he is begging her and asking for forgiveness, claiming that it was not ordinary, that there were spiritual manipulations at work from the girl's family that does not want her to get married. He said he still wants to go ahead with the marriage plan. Mind u this is the second time he will be beating her.

Should she forgive and marry him? Is it really a spiritual problem or character problem on the guy's side? Do you think these two are actually meant for each other and should go ahead and marry?

The guy is not yet ripe for marriage, let him go learn temperance. The lady had better walk out .

saved people to it. What standard of authority, pattern, doctrine, or
creed did that church follow? What was its worship, work, name,
origin, and doctrine of salvation and forgiveness of sins? Did it have
an earthly organization, hierarchy, or centralized headquarters? How
does modern "Christianity" compare to the church of Christ? How
did Roman Catholicism and the denominations of the Protestant
Reformation originate in history? Does Jesus' church exist today? If
so, what characteristics should we seek in finding and identifying it?
Introduction
All serious Bible students agree that Jesus built only one church, and at
that time all saved people were in that one church (Matt. 16:18; Acts
2:47). But today there are actually hundreds of different denominations,
differing from one another in name, authority, worship, organization, plan
of salvation and forgiveness of sins, etc. Yet all claim to be Christian, to
follow Jesus, and to be pleasing to God.
The purpose of this study is to determine what Jesus wants us to
practice regarding church membership. What was Jesus' church like in
the first century? Does the church that Jesus built still exist today? If so,
how can we find and identify it? What does God think about all the many
different modern Catholic and Protestant denominations?

How important is Jesus' church?
Why should we study about Jesus' church? Some people think the church
has nothing to do with salvation, so you can be saved outside the church.
How important is the church to Jesus the Lord?

*1* How did Jesus make the church His? (a) He bought it with His blood,
(b) He came to set up an earthly kingdom but couldn't, so He made the
church instead, (c) somebody gave the church to Him.
*2* Can we be saved without Jesus' blood? (a) yes, (b) no.
*3* Then can we be saved outside Jesus' church? (a) yes, (b) no.
Jesus shed His blood to save us from sin (Ephesians 1:7; Revelation 1:5;
Romans 5:6-9). But the people who have been saved and purchased by that
blood are the people who are in the church!

*4* For whom is Christ the Savior? (a) the nation of Israel only, (b) the
body (church), (c) all people will be saved.
*5* For whom did He give Himself? (a) the church, (b) white, middle-
class Americans only, (c) it doesn't matter.
Salvation can be obtained only through Jesus (Acts 4:12; John 14:6;
Hebrews 5:9; 7:25). But the body of people whom Jesus has saved is the
church. If the church has nothing to do with our salvation, why did the
Lord die for it?
The Lord adds to the church those who should be saved - Acts 2:47. Christ
is the Savior; but all those whose sins He has forgiven are in the church.
Those outside the church are yet in their sins. This is why it is vitally
important for us to learn about Jesus' church. (See also Ephesians 3:10,11;
Colossians 1:12-14; Hebrews 10:25; etc.)
The word "church" has different meanings.
In the Bible, the "church" always refers to a group of people, never to a
physical building. The word has two primary uses:
1. The church universally - the body of all saved people everywhere
(Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 5:22-25; Acts 2:47).
2. The church locally - a congregation of saved people in a certain area
who meet, work, and worship together (Jerusalem, Corinth, etc. - Acts 8:1;
13:1; 1 Corinthians 1:2; Galatians 1:2; Revelation 1:4).
We will study many examples of this word as we proceed.
First let us study the characteristics of the New Testament church, then we
will study the origin of the modern denominations.

As a child of parents who are still together, i would understand and support them if they had a divorce. Them staying together has been hell for us kids in the house. Now can you compare this kind of changes to that of a man or woman pretending to be mild only to show their true colors when they achieve their aim?

Can you become an armed robber? To become an armed robber is an after thought, it didn't happen overnight, it must have been formulated in your mind, debated and discussed in your spirit you before a stand to be a criminal is achieved.

Don't christians backslide? People can change at any time due to pressure/circumstances or cares of life. That's why he admonished us to take heed else we fall. Also work out ur salvation, dat u r saved today doesn't mean u r forever saved. Its a matter of carrying ur cross n follow Him.

If yes the only condition for divorce that bible made us to know is if there is case of ADULTERY u can divorce your wife if there is a confirm case of adultery except this no other condition for a truly born again Christian. As a child of God, is it acceptable to divorce under any condition apart from adultery?

Can a Christian get married, and probably after realising the spouse is not good enough or not up to what he/she desires and ask for a divorce, and then remarries. Either this or remain in the marriage unhappy for ever.

Can a Christian ask for divorce when there's domestic violence or stay in the marriage till the end of time?

Please share with us based on God's word. Is there any reason why a child of God should divorce apart from adultery?

❖ On each university, go to department's page that offers the course you want to go for.
❖ Most of them have a section for "Tuition and Scholarship". The info you are looking for is there.
❖ If it is not there, go to "Contact Us" and send them a mail of enquiry. They reply very fast.

In U.S. you often times don't need Masters for PhD admission however in Canada, some schools are lenient. If you have a 3.5 at the end of 1st year in some schools/ programs in Canada you could be allowed to switch but to do that you have to take some PhD classes as a Masters Student. As for the MBA for PhD in Management I have no idea on that.

Who told you they are not? I think it depends on so many things though and I know in my department for instance, all PhD students have funding while about 90% of our MA students have funding/scholarship too.

The U.S probably has the most backward immigration policy for highly trained professionals in the western world.
Immigrants who jump through the border have better chances of becoming citizens than a hard working phd student who doesn't have tenure track position in a university.

So early this morning i put a link to a facebook group that has lots of freebies and useful info i thought may help some prospective GRE student, mr. justwise or mr. mod may i know why it was deleted? DDamiit, the entire post was deleted too? Yes there's a paltry no. of businesses --largely indian, foreign -- which solicit students patronage on the site but that's a drop compared to the value anyone would get as i found out while doing my own prep over a year ago ( thorny/tricky quant and verbal questions posted on the forum from users of the 22,000+ sized group; a repository of free GRE docs/books, free keys to gre mock tests etc etc) . I never paid a damn doing my own prep and i don't imagine any one here would. In the past I've played devils advocate when you delete links people put here including mine cos i see the point of establishing a rich vibrant community where we can find all the useful information herein. But now i can't. Does nairaland allow people upload free ebooks? Are there 200+ students posting tricky GRE questions on the forum and other posters to answer them? That's why i dropped the link. Out of sheer generosity and not any thinly guised financial gain. Ok so i suggested people who have extra cash to spare can try magoosh but what has that got to do with anything? Do i run magoosh? Lets say i was on some other forum and i met a nigerian and dropped nairaland.com cos i see it may be useful to her.
