How u guys finding the resource i gave? Did u find manhattan any good? I really didn't like their mocks last go around though i think they are the best resource for the gmat. And their 5lb gre big book is a must have for people who are rusty with base level concepts. But something i just found out going over gre books for the past few weeks is that Kaplan is solid gold. Their question bank has the trickiest gre quant questions i've ever seen. Every thing else feels like a cakewalk in comparison after drilling thru kaplan. If u need the links to the kaplan qbank u can pm me. . Anyway just checking, all the best...

1. Be confident (confident posture, confident voice), it saves you of too much questions.
2. Be concise. Give precise and adequate answers to questions asked.
3. Get at least 2 years work experience.
4. Try to Get a good GRE score.
5. Most importantly, involve God.

Wes sent my evaluation and my my gpa is 2.89. I'm praying the schools I have in mind can still consider me,based on that gpa,cos I was anticipating scholarship or financial aids. I have good SOP,and letter of recommendation,but I'm not happy with my gpa. I do know admission into these schools is usually holistical,but I equally know that there are still schools that will be willing to grant financial aids,going by my test scores. I think it's too late for fall 2015. Most schools have deadlines in december/January.
Could be wrong though.
But before you write gre, get your recs, transcripts, wes report the deadline could be over.

Truly,its almost late, but I still plan to write d GRE, as I'm studying n extensively searching for schools with funding, the search has been taking much time. I hope if I write d exam n send d scores to d schools, will d scores be considered for subsequent admission term/session. It has not been easy preparing for d GRE n TOEFL as I'm working. Does it imply I should be preparing for 2016 fall or somewhere in-between. Pls advise

sure, started mine in october and got it all wrapped up by nov ending. My naija uni caused half of the delay, if ur school's admin is more efficient then urs could take less time. i didnt need wes for any of my school apps just for future purposes as has been recommended here.

I have once applied for transcript, so subsequent applications should be faster.

I'm working towards fall 2015. How much is charged for d evaluation?. I plan to collect my transcripts by hand n send it via normal postal mail. Just to minimize expenses. Hope I'm right.

I can not find my statements but if I remember well, the paper felt different... It wasn't A4 (that much I can remember) but it felt slightly different... I used 3 banks (mine, and my parents) and the textures felt different. But it's been 2 years +, I might be wrong

you can actually tell the VOs you applied to 3 or more schools, cos saying you applied to only 1 school would hurt your chances ( the VOs are no superhuman to know the number of schools you applied to)

the closing balance must or should be morethan or equivalent to the total expense stated on your I-20

name of institutions/fellowship sponsor appears on ur GRE scores report. So what if d VO asks for ur GRE score reports?

in fact you just hit the nail on the head...abeg come with your school fees oooo...don't think you will get automatic job upon arrival...you won't be picking dollars on the streets of us when you arrive because you will sweat for every cent you make here so be prepared. It is the land of opportunities but you have to be ready to work hard for those opportunities. Don't expect to get any loans as Jchi has said....avoid it if possible. I never took any loans I survived on $30 a month for food ..if you want to know how to just ask me...although now I can eat all the ribs and full slabs I want but I had to go through the process the hard way. Bring you school fees, abeg, bring your school fees, don't think one American will pity you and pay your fees. Na OYO oooo

Na em we day o. Was supposed to attend my visa appointment last week monday but canceled after i got a last minute admit from UH. Na their I20 i dey wait now, those guys are slow man. That's why i gave up on them. I'm really tempted to defer till fall when funding go boku small and probably take my time to put in a better application at some more competitive programs; if i dont get in at least i have a couple of admits to fall back on(ULL,UH). Good luck with ur GRE

Let it sink in first!!!!

There's no hack for magoosh yet. If you can find someone who isn't writing the gre immediately( or withing the next 3 months) maybe u both can do a joint plan to help defray the cost cos i agree its quite high.

I am yet to write mine, but most of my friends we used to study together (tho they already wrote theirs) confirmed it. Since then I have focused on magoosh. Both of them scored above 160 in both Q and V.
