4g of NaOH to 100ml of water---convert to mol/dm3

NaOH=40g/mol

100ml=0.1dm3

4 divided by 40 times 0.1=0.01mol/dm3

Molar enthalpy of solution =Molarity X specific heat capacity X change in temperature=0.01 X 4.18 X 20

Mind the units

Kindly advice...This is someone's true-life narrative...that I just summarized!

Hence, 5-year-courtship + 5-years-in-marriage = 10-year Relationship
Romance / What Stories About You Can You Tell Or Cannot Tell Your Spouse Before Marriage by GLYMAN: 3:33am On Aug 04, 2019
Hello mature minds,

A married woman shared her story and she needs urgent help.

HERE IS THE SUMMARY...

She is been happily married to her husband for five (5) years with two blessed children, male and female, as evidence.

Just last month, July 2019, her husband told her that five years before they got wedded, he already had three (3) children, 2 males (living) and 1 female (who passed on recently), from another woman.

Besides, he disclosed to her that he still takes care of that woman (the mother of his children) and also caters for the two children that are currently alive.

The woman said she was awe-stricken as she got the shocking news, heart-broken and confused till date, not knowing what to do. She also said she cannot believe that his husband hid such a delicate matter from her before wedding...and for for 10 years after wedding.

Objectively, she said that a major weakness of hers was jealousy...she cannot see someone share what solely belongs to her...that is her kind of person...

At this juncture, please counsel constructively...as it would go a long way to healing her and/or someone somewhere in similar circumstance

Thanks Great NLanders!.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: The Main Two Reasons There Is High Unemployment Rate In Nigeria. by GLYMAN: 11:27pm On May 14, 2019
Hello, I consider your post contextually good but the lexis/syntax is poor. Coincidentally, an employer may assess you, through your write-up, and conclude that you are part of the problem. However, you can always improve yourself...kindly take note of the corrected version below:

"From the information I have gathered so far, I realized that two major factors trigger the unemployment rate in Nigeria. They are:

(1) High rate of unemployable graduates: Do you know that some contemporary graduates in Nigeria are unemployable? This challenge is due to various reasons namely, laziness, poor attitude to work, egoism (unwillingness to start small), e.t.c. Do you also know that some recent graduates cannot defend their degrees confidently. The fact is that many graduates are job-seekers but only a few are employable.

(2) Unfavorable government policies: Some of our leaders, especially those in politics, are doing virtually little or nothing to create jobs. It is note-worthy that some policies of government discourage some local and foreign entrepreneurs from investing in Nigeria. Unfortunately, mediocrity is celebrated daily in Nigeria instead of ''meritocracy''. In sensitive sectors of the economy, square pegs are fixed in round holes. Consequently, the unqualified are sometimes saddled with the responsibility of job creation.

It is critical we make amends where necessary."

Cheers...

Politics / Characteristics Of Naija Elections, 1999 To 2019, Add Yours by GLYMAN: 12:58pm On Mar 26, 2019
As at date, one can boldly affirm/confirm that elections/selections in Nigeria are evolving in either of these two dimensions (depending on your perspective):

(1) Good....Better....Best

OR

(2) Bad....Worse....Worst.

Evidently, the following negations have increasingly characterized Naija's elections/selections and it appears there is no end soonest:

1. No intra-party democracy

2. Imposition of candidates

3. Godfatherism

4. Rigging (Analogue Method and opponents are aware but electoral umpires may not be in the know)

5. Rigging (Digital Method under the watchful eyes of the opponents and electoral umpires are fully in the know)

6. Stealing of mandate (Confrontational Method where intimidation is applied across board...opponents, voters, electoral umpires, etc)

7. Vote buying (Direct and Indirect Methods)

8. Chasing of voters

9. Clear-cut partisanship of umpires

10. Killings of voters

11. Killings of opponents

12. Killings of Electoral officials

13. Kidnapping of opponents, electoral officials, voters, etc

14. Chasing of voters out of pulling units

15. Thuggery

16. Burning, tearing and destruction of electoral materials

17. Ballot box snatching by thugs

18. Ballot box snatching by alleged ''uniformed'' men

19. Ballot box snatching by thugs and alleged ''uniformed men''

20. Threats and Hostage taking

21. Declaration of results under duress

22. Inconclusiveness of elections

23. Supplementary elections

24. Court orders to stop collation of results

25. Court order to stop announcement of results

26. Non-issuance of Certificate of Return to a declared winner

27. Suspension of electoral processes, temporary or indefinitely

28. Maiming of voters/party supporters under the watch of security personnel

29. Inter-tribal threats and fights

30. Invasion of opponents'homes/facilities by ''men on uniform''.

31. Invasion of collation centers by ''men on uniform''.

32. Invasion of collation centers by party supporters.

33. Voters' apathy.

34. Widespread shameless lying and denials

35. Claims and counter-claims

36. Accusations and counter-accusations

37. Thumb-printing factories.

38. Under-age voting

39. De-camping

40. Cross-carpeting

41. Increasing number of political parties

42. Interference of religious groups, traditional entities, etc

43. Hijacking

44. Mergers and coalitions

45. Moles and Spies

46. Politician working against his/her party secretly

47. Politician working against his/her party secretly

E.T.C.

You can add more for I cannot tell it all.

But the BIG QUESTION is, where are we headed with all these issues?

I hope the Electoral Act will address these teething issues because somehow, somebody started the issue of vote buying, another person started the issue of security invasion, and so on, until recently someone started the issue of court cases against INEC's declaration/collation of results.

If this unfortunate trend is unchecked, somebody may wake-up and get an injunction for election not to hold and INEC might obey...you never can tell when/how the drama will unfold...

Politics / Poverty In Naija: An Open Letter To Whom It May Concern!!! by GLYMAN: 10:09am On Mar 09, 2019
The World Bank released a recent terrifying report that Nigeria is one of the 5 countries that has made the entire world poor.

Here are mind-boggling and sincere questions to ponder on if Naija must get out of that unfortunate poverty list as fast as possible perhaps, through those that mean well for the country whether in the N, S, E and/or W:

(1) The poverty status report of Naija, in reality, mostly benefits the? (a) N (b) S (c) E (d) W

(2) Which part of Naija was in charge the most from 1960 till 2019? (a) N (b) S (c) E (d) W

(4) The un-employed, under-employed and un-employable are mostly in the (a) N (b) S (c) E (d) W

(5) The richest men in Naija are from the (a) N (b) S (c) E (d) W

(6) The most influential power brokers in Naija, that may decide the country gets out of poverty or not, are from the (a) N (b) S (c) E (d) W

(7) The most worried leaders about this breaking news of Naija's poverty status are from the (a) N (b) S (c) E (d) W

(8 ) The leaders that will attack the report as statistically incorrect are mostly from the (a) N (b) S (c) E (d) W

(9) The leaders working seriously since 1960 to liberate their people from poverty are mostly from the (a) N (b) S (c) E (d) W

(10) Most hardworking Naija youths working smartly daily to deliver themselves from poverty are from the (a) N (b) S (c) E (d) W

Politics / As Our Impartial I N E C Releases The Election Materials For Inspection... by GLYMAN: 9:12pm On Mar 08, 2019
In line with the recent Appeal Court order, over 24 hours ago, I expected our competent and neutral I.N.E.C. to have released all election materials, used for the ''free and fair'' Feb. 23rd general elections, to the party(ies) in need of them for ''free and fair'' inspection.

Please share an update if I.N.E.C. has responded!!!

Well, I am hopeful that all the findings would line-up with the ''free and fair'' stance of I.N.E.C.

Analysis 1: Imagine no incriminating findings were made by the party(ies), it will be big a relief to all and sundry. Besides, election tribunals will have no work to do and so, shut down. More so, the aggrieved will sheath their swords and move on, accepting their fate.

Analysis 2: However, if mind-blowing incriminating findings, visible to the blind and audible to the deaf, were discovered, then what next?
