Rents depends on the neighborhoods , though in Jos , there are two power companies , jedc ( jos electricity distribution company ) and nesco, nesco is better than jedc cos their light is uninterrupted , while jedc tries to keep up , in fact in Jos almost all houses has prepaid meter so if the companies don’t give light , they lose , the most expensive neighborhoods in jos are Rayfield , federal lowcost and state lowcost , my friend lives in Rayfield , he’s two bedroom flats rents cost 700k , I think that’s the highest I’ve seen …. But you can get rents for 200- 400k …jos is a cheap town .

One of the good place in jos is Rayfield and u can get 2 bedroom apartment en suite at 600k per annum... 24hrs constant light.

Other places that are secured and conductive like Lamingo and Haske....u can get two bedrooms ensuite at 350k-400k....at 18hrs electricity.

Working remotely is the best in some cases, instead of Starlink that will empty my pocket, I got connected through MTN Fibre Broadband Unlimited with less than N50k and I pay 10k monthly for 10Mbps and I lived in a quite area with adequate power supply.

I am not arrived yet but I am managing my life with remotes jobs, I am into PR, contents creation, graphic design and networking.

Appliances include iron, cooker, refrigerator, AC, possibly heater, microwave and other basics

Get a quote from the likes of MANTRAC (CAT), Cummings, and Perkins (or their associate assemblers using Perkins internals, such as FG Wilson, Mikano).

Consult a knowledgeable gen technician as well to get an inside scope. For instance, I believe CAT generators are reliable, but maintenance is expensive. Assembled Perkins are common with readily-available parts at relatively modest prices; but can be a drag if the head of your servicer isn't screwed on right.

Also, depending on location, get in touch with your DISCO or a private firm with excess power output to get a dedicated line.

The latter is the most cost-effective solution. Use the generator for backup. The running cost of a diesel generator with high capacity is obscene. Solar isn't that much of an alternative either. The upfront cost will build a new [albeit smaller] property from scratch; not to mention space requirement for the panels of a three-digit KVA installation.

So I've a LUTIAN LT3900. Used it for the past year without any "major" repairs.

The current issue is that it shuts off within 30 minutes. I'm willing to share the backstory if that'd help in proferring a solution.

But the bottomline is that there's oil in it. It starts well. Even changed the carburetor just this evening. Still goes off soon after starting.

So after reading plenty reviews on Lutian LT3990E I went ahead to buy mid May, now about a month old and barely used.
In the past 4 days, I have been using it all night, changed the oil two days back. Last night was different as it went off about 1:00AM, start again running went inside few minutes later it went off again. Start again went inside, few minutes running and Off again. Start again, was about 10 steps away from its location and it went off, start again went inside, off again. Phewww!!!
Na so, went back start, running fine, then only took few seconds to go off and so... right now, it only last few seconds before going off.
Have cleaned the plug but no change. Now I have a feeling its cutting fuel supply that I cant dig into myself.
Please any Pro with best remedy should relate to this post to Equip me on what can be done...

That said, my advice would be to return it and get a replacement as it should still be under warranty. It's completely normal for some units to be defective; there's no perfect assembly line.

With standard moderate usage, an original Lutian gen should last 1 year plus before you even remember to service it.

The funny thing is that you cheapies don't have brand loyalty. In a couple of months time, if the ban stays and Huawei expectedly starts struggling, you guys would port quietly to Xiaomi, Oppo, Lenovo, or Asus; that's if you aren't using a Transission phone already.

The excuse would be, why be a guinea pig for an unpolished OS with limited app support when there are cheaper phones with the latest Android version.

The only people who'd ride and die with Huawei are its Chinese users who already do not use the Play Store.

If the ban stays Huawei is dead in Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. Oak OS will become the latest joke after Windows 10 Mobile, BB10, Tizen, Sailfish, Jolla; and all the other hyped failures.

It's unlikely any higher-up would respond.

If it's anything like last time, it'd resolve on it's own (or they'd work on it behind the scenes without being vocal about it). But it could take up to 2-3 weeks before you it's mitigated.

Also password resets do nothing. And if you're logged into your account with another device, do not log out on that device.

Still I imagine it wouldn't hurt to update here periodically that you aren't able to log in yet. Beyond that there's nothing else you can do besides hound a mod/admin via some other platform.
