@damola I wanted the question answered first so I can give you an appropriate response. Again, are you questioning why women bother to test men OR the degree to which they do the testing ? |
@topic Don't forget the other ethnic groups such as ijaw, efik, Urhobo, edo etc. |
@Damola Are you questioning why women test men at all OR the degree to which they test men ? Because both men and women test one another, but as far as to what degree, that varies from individual to individual. |
Na waaa ooh I like nice breastesses sha . Welcome to Nairaland. |
aaah I wasn't hating ooo ! Just joking at what Ugwamba wrote ![]() My deepest apologies if you felt offended |
@Ugwumba so rotbog really means ROTTEN BOTTOM ? thanks for the clarification ![]() |
I wonder why it is only the A A women that have been wronged by our men that are mostly posting on nairaland. Haba !!! A non-nigerian lady that reads these testimonies might be convinced that we naija men are all bad, but God knows that isn't the case. @topic, I am so sorry you had to go through what you went through. We are all not like that. |
*clearing throat* eeeh Radiant, I just want to make sure I have a good understanding of what you are saying. Are you saying that the firm you work for in Canada hires only third class graduates and below ? Just checking to make sure I am not mis-interpreting info. |
@donzman Excellent point my brother, excellent point .You be true Africa man I swear. When i read your post, I was just nodding my head in the affirmative all the way ![]() |
@uju I agree that it is compatibility and "the goodness of someone's heart" that really matters, but uju, you have to realize that your father wants what's best for you. A lot of those hot A A guys (not all of course) are good at sweet talking, working out, and dressing nice so you find them very appealing. But a lot of them will become complete strangers if you ever get pregnant for them. I have met too many AA ladies that don't know or have little to say about their fathers. So, while you are right - there are some good A A guys out there, but be careful ! |
i take back the complement then just kidding ![]() |
oooooo Okay. I thought it didn't matter whether you got one or not, period .Na waa ooh, many ladies would not only want one, but it most have "certain" karatz. Nice quality in a lady ![]() |
@iice why not ? Do you mean U would prefer one, but if not, it won't matter ? |
eeeeh yes he should, as a way of preserving the culture. But I guess if there is money issues, he can propose without one. God go provide money for me when my time comes ![]() |
Sometimes it depends on how old you yourself are. For instance, if you are 20 years old, you cannot date a 13 year old. But if you are 30 years old, you can date a 23 year old. ![]() |
Very insightful Ndipe. I am on the same wavelength as you, I believe this maid/servant thing should be outlawed by insisting that such persons should reach a minimal age. To me, it is better to be poor than subject a young life through such harsh conditions. I have seen people that were very poor while growing up (e.g. Mc Hammer), but they did not have to grow up with such humiliation as those young maids do in Nigeria. Poor parents should have faith in God and be prayerful rather than make their kids suffer like that. |
I don't have a favourite, but loved clear and present danger have you ever riden on a horse ? |

@davidylan Thanks for the excellent response. You have said it all - over here, a lot of emphasis is placed on applying what you have learnt from the text as opposed to just "regurgitating" as it is mostly practiced in Nigeria. The academic rigour is more profound at the undergraduate realm. Unlike in graduate school, where there are lots of emphasis placed on doing research, the undergraduate standard here is very rigid. When I was pursuing my undergraduate degree at University of Maryland, College Park, there were a couple of Nigerians who transferred from Nigerian universities and were really struggling. One guy was taken calculus 1 over (he said he had done it back home) and had to drop out ! I am very happy to see you do so well though. I wish you success in your program. |
I don't have a favourite actor, but Harrison Ford is one of my favourites. Besides using your PC, how do you keep from being bored ? |
