PoliticsRe: “why It's Dangerous To Marry Just 1 Wife”-islamic Scholar, Sheikh Muyideen Bello by God2man(m): 5:44pm On Oct 15, 2015
Sheikh is only talking about the less important part of polygamy, 1 wife is even difficult to manage not talk of 2, 3, 4, Ha! Ha!

Jealousy, Envy, hatred, covetousness will be the order of the day in polygamy.

Women will be struggling to take possession of the inheritance to the extent of even killing their husband.
They will fight and do all kinds of things just to make sure their children excel than first, second or third wives, whichever way.

There is polygamous witchcraft. Women become witch to get ahead.

It is so terrible.

Our great grandfather erred in this regard. They have mortgaged the destiny of their children on the altar of polygamous witchcraft.

Many families are in perpetual bondage today, they are still doing deliverance upon deliverance to be free from the bondage of polygamous witchcraft.

So, Sheikh, You need to look at the most important part not sex, food, and self satisfaction.

God2man.

Christianity EtcRe: Mike Bamiloye Narrates How He Overcome A Temptation Set By National Agency by God2man(m): 2:07pm On Oct 15, 2015
klem93:
It was Jesus Christ who made us understand that we can pray against entering into temptations. It was Him who made us know that we can overcome temptations by praying and praying ahead.
More than 10 years ago, a National agency decided to sponsor some people to a foreign conference festival. A representative of the agency called me on phone that I was chosen to be among the people that would be delegates at the International conference. I was to be among the National delegates to the conference. Then, some days later, they sent me the list of other delegates who would be going to the conference with me. I saw the list and the names of all the delegates including the head of the Delegates who was the Representative of the Agency. Many of them were very familiar to me in the industry. There were about seven men and three women all together, including the Head of the Delegation who also was a woman.

I prayed over this invitation, and I felt deeply in my spirit that the Lord wanted me to go, however, it still amazed me why I would be contacted to be among the National Delegates, knowing full well that I am a drama evangelist. And also I was worried that I was the only drama minister among them going to the international film conference. When I prayed further on this, I felt further convinced that the Lord wanted me to go with the people, more so, that the invitation came from the government.
About two weeks to the time of departure to the international conference, my spirit began to raise some terrible alert. As I prayed further concerning this trip, I felt the Lord speaking to me to begin a 7 day fast for this journey. So, I began the fast. My wife was on invitation to another foreign country to an annual women conference of a church in UK. She too was to travel three days before my own departure from Nigeria.
In the midst of the fasting, the Lord began to communicate with me ahead of the journey. I began to feel that the journey was not an ordinary journey. I began to feel that there was more to the journey than just going to an International Conference sponsored by a government agency as one of the national delegate. Then, the Lord spoke to me expressly, to look for Bible Audio Cassettes and a handy cassette player; I looked for it and got it and packed it into my hand luggage. Then, the Lord told me to pack my Bible and Bible note in my hand luggage which will be with me on the plane.
A day to the trip, as the fasting was coming to the end, I heard the Lord speaking into my ears..."Demonic Networking.....! Dominically Organized Conspiracy....!" I never knew all what those things meant. But I continued the fasting and the prayers. On the day of the trip, I was driven from Ibadan to the airport. The flight was to be 2pm and I arrived the airport around 11.30am. I was expecting to meet with all other faces of those who are going with me, but I saw no one. I was informed they were still on their way. I wondered what would have delayed the rest delegates who were all coming from within the city of Lagos.
The check-in was to be one and half hour to departure and I have not seen anyone except a staff of the government agency who had been sent ahead to the airport to welcome the delegates as they arrived. When it was an hour to the departure, the Head of the Delegation arrived, whom I was seeing for the first time. She was a young lady. I had thought she was an elderly woman. I looked around her to see all other delegates following her, but I found none. Then, I approached her and asked about the other delegates who were going on the journey, she broke the news that some of them could not make the trip and the agency also dropped the rest of them remaining only me. Her bosses in the agency had decided that only me should go and represent them at the International film conference and she would be the head of delegation.
This was like a fairy tale, but it is a true story.
I developed cold sweat instantly. Would I say I would not go again? Would I just return home and turned down this trip already fully sponsored by the government? How could I alone go on a foreign trip with a young lady as head of the delegation. I stood still for few minutes to decode the whole situation. Then, I understood all what the Lord had been saying to me. I realized the meaning of the instructions the Lord had been giving to me all these while. I knew the reason the Lord instructed me to embark on the fasting and the prayers ahead of the journey. Then, I knew what the Lord meant, when He rang into my spirit those words...."Demonic Networking..! Demonically Organised Conspiracy....!" It was indeed a Demonic conspiracy. I was told ten people were going and that seven men would be on the delegation, only to come to the departure gate and found only me and a female head of delegation.

As we were boarding the plane, the Lord was dishing out the instructions of what to do step by step...I was told to bring out the audio Bible cassette and the cassette player. So, through out the journey, I listened to more than 25 chapters of the Bible. I discovered she too had the knowledge of the word of God and was a child of God, because when I brought out my Bible and began to listen to the Audio Bible, after some time, she brought out her devotional Booklet.
Through out the entire 10 days film conference, I would wake up in my room as early as 3am and listen to the Audio Bible and prayed till around 6am before I begin to prepare for the event of the day. The whole conference was almost converted to my personal retreat because of my daily spiritual experience very early in my room in the morning. Because I was the only independent film maker representing Nigeria and the other delegate was the head of delegation, I was the one given the mandate to speak on behalf of Nigeria film makers. At another time, the Head of Delegation was called upon to bring greetings from Nigeria.
All together, I became a great blessing to the young unmarried woman as I kept ministering to her from time to time, pointing her attention to her characters she had to work upon for her better future. The film conference organizers were extremely glad with the Nigeria delegates. We were among the ones specially chosen among other delegates to visit some strategic areas of the communist nation. We represented the Nation well and I represented the Lord Jesus well. On our trip back home, I counselled the young woman and prayed with her committing her life and future into the hand of God.
I arrived in Lagos airport to the arms of my wife, Gloria, who also had returned from her foreign trip to a women conference. I went, I saw and I conquered in the name of Jesus Christ.
When I queried further why the Lord would allow me to embark on the trip, he referred me to the Bible Passage:
John 4:3-4 KJV
[3] He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.
[4] And he must needs go through Samaria.

In ministry and in life, there are times a vessel of God would have to pass through moments which the Lord Jesus called: "The hour of the Power of Darkness"

Christianity EtcRe: Wearing The Hijab Makes Me Feel Liberated Not Oppressed by God2man(m): 6:39am On Oct 13, 2015
bashbabe2:
I probably do not fit into the preconceived notion of a “rebel”. I have no visible tattoos and minimal piercing. I do not possess a leather jacket. In fact, when most people look at me, their first thought usually is something along the lines of “oppressed female.” The brave individuals who have mustered the courage to ask me about the way I dress usually have questions like: “Do your parents make you wear that?” or “Don’t you find that really unfair?”

A while back, a couple of girls in Montreal were kicked out of school for dressing like I do. It seems strange that a little piece of cloth would make for such controversy. Perhaps the fear is that I am harboring an Uzi underneath it! Of course, the issue at hand is more than a mere piece of cloth. I am a Muslim woman who, like millions of other Muslim women across the globe, chooses to wear the hijab. And the concept of the hijab, contrary to popular opinion, is actually one of the most fundamental aspects of female empowerment.

When I cover myself, I make it virtually impossible for people to judge me according to the way I look. I cannot be categorized because of my attractiveness or lack thereof.

Compare this to life in today’s society: We are constantly sizing one another up on the basis of our clothing, jewelry, hair and makeup. What kind of depth can there be in a world like this? Yes, I have a body, a physical manifestation upon this Earth. But it is the vessel of an intelligent mind and a strong spirit. It is not for the beholder to leer at or to use in advertisements to sell everything from beer to cars!

Because of the superficiality of the world in which we live, external appearances are so stressed that the value of the individual counts for almost nothing. It is a myth that women in today’s society are liberated! What kind of freedom can there be when a woman can not walk down the street without every aspect of her physical self being “checked out”?

When I wear the hijab I feel safe from all of this. I can rest assured that no one is looking at me and making assumptions about my character from the length of my skirt. There is a barrier between me and those who would exploit me. I am first and foremost a human being, equal to any man, and not vulnerable because of my sexuality.

One of the saddest truths of our time is the question of the beauty myth and female self-image. Reading popular teenage magazines, you can instantly find out what kind of body image is “in” or “out.” and if you have the “wrong” body type, well, then, you’re just going to have to change it, aren’t you? After all, there is no way that you can be overweight and still be beautiful.

Look at any advertisement. Is a woman being used to sell the product? How old is she? How attractive is she? What is she wearing? More often than not, that woman will be no older than her early 20s, taller, slimmer and more attractive than average, dressed in skimpy clothing. Why do we allow ourselves to be manipulated like this?

Whether the 90s woman wishes to believe it or not, she is being forced into a mold. She is being coerced into selling herself, into compromising herself. This is why we have 13-year-old girls sticking their fingers down their throats and overweight adolescents hanging themselves.

When people ask me if I feel oppressed, I can honestly say no. I made this decision out of my own free will. I like the fact that I am taking control of the way other people perceive me. I enjoy the fact that I don’t give anyone anything to look at and that I have released myself from the bondage of the swinging pendulum of the fashion industry and other institutions that exploit females.

My body is my own business. Nobody can tell me how I should look or whether or not I am beautiful. I know that there is more to me than that. I am also able to say “no” comfortably when people ask me if I feel as though my sexuality is being repressed. I have taken control of my sexuality. I am thankful I will never have to suffer the fate of trying to lose/gain weight or trying to find the exact lipstick shade that will go with my skin color. I have made choices about what my priorities are and these are not among them.

So next time you see me, don’t look at me sympathetically. I am not under duress or a male-worshipping female captive from those barbarous Arabic deserts! I’ve been liberated.

@ifeness, if you say there is no God and you die,
after death, you then realized that there
is God, that God will then deal with you.

I think it is wiser to accept the fact that there is God in this life, so that when you die, you will be on the safer side, than to pretend that there is no God when there are doubts about your atheism that is already giving you concern.
