Capello quits as England manager
Fabio Capello has resigned as England manager, the Football Association has confirmed.

Capello resigned after a meeting with FA chairman David Bernstein and general secretary Alex Horne at Wembley.

An FA statement read: "The Football Association can confirm that Fabio Capello has today resigned as England manager."

On Monday, the Italian publicly challenged the FA's decision to strip John Terry of the captaincy.

The FA's statement continued: "The discussions focused on the FA Board's decision to remove the England team captaincy from John Terry, and Fabio Capello's response through an Italian broadcast interview.

"In a meeting for over an hour, Fabio's resignation was accepted and he will leave the post of England manager with immediate effect."

Bernstein said: "I would like to stress that during [the] meeting and throughout his time as England manager, Fabio has conducted himself in an extremely professional manner.

"We have accepted Fabio's resignation, agreeing this is the right decision. We would like to thank Fabio for his work with the England team and wish him every success in the future."

A media conference with Bernstein and the Club England management team will take place at Wembley Stadium on Thursday at 1200 GMT.

The FA will not be making any further comment until the media conference.

I don't know about crooked dealers, but yes I have bought a car on NL, I bought a toyota camry 1991, american spec, V6 2.4, 24cam engine on NL. I brought it through Chuddy K.

The good thing is i never met Chuddy. It was all phone calls, visit, I saw the car, I loved it, the price was right and I paid. It was last year january.

The first spin i took my car for was to akure, chai the car was flying, since then i have loved the car. I also bought a peugot 406 for my friend too on NL, smatching, wow!

I have inquired about cars and I have gotten response from good peeople.

Well I wanted to just read and just smile or just ignore, but i decided to drop my own little comment. I work in an airline, and i know before Jet A1 is put on any aircraft, it is tested before the fuel bowser is connected to the aircraft,

So I'm sure someone some where just wants to discredit SO aviation, they deliver ontime, they are prompt and professional, on the ramp at the airport, SO aviation is the pride to most airline, so me just think someone has something against them,

well all cant be dumb, if airline A does not know the difference will airline B and C not know the difference and checkmate that?

Also, I know SO has some of the smoothest machinery for aviation fuel distribution and all,

so my own little view is that someone , somewhere just wants to rubbish the organization.

I'm surprised i'm coming to NL to say this, but I just felt I should know people's view about this!

There is this girl I have been spinning for a long while, she stays in Queens in New York, well I have known her for like 3years before she travelled, thsi girl is nice, humble and all, but what shocked me most was this, I was in NY and my friends were talking about this site www.backpage.com, I decided to check the site out, especially the Follows side (cos thats was what was inturging to me)

lo and behold, I tried checking out this site and and see this girls pix, I was so shocked I was like, what would have caused this girl to turn to this? I met her like 2days after me seeing the pix, I couldn't tell her cos I know it is survival strategies in "no man's land",

But if you were in my shoes, will you advise her, let her be, or just ignore it (nothing really concerns me) apart from the fact that I was spinning her sha!

@mikepeace, it's not about what i'm saying, i'm just creating a scenario, yes i know this is Niaja, but we have to give the system some benefits of doubts, if he really pushed drugs and was freed based on settlement then shame on the system, if it was based on "errors" or otherwise then the system should be questioned!

I work at the airport, I have seen people detained for hours, missed their flights because they were placed on observation in the end NDLEA just writes to the airline to wave any penalty, I have not seen someone who came to sue them because he was detained and he lost his job, "the system".

I was present when he was been taken away for observation, he was still joking with the NDLEA officials what happened in the observation room I cannot say because my eyes no reach there, but what I know is that i'm of the school of thought that "the system" is faulty, bad anticidents have been created, what we can do as "commentators and spectators" is to jeer, clap or critices, when will the sytem change, no one knows!

i'm not trying to justify if Baba Suwe carried drugs or not, what I know about x-ray machines especially the body scanner is this, if you swallow bitter kola and you are x-rayed, you will be stopped for drugs because the machine is colour based and cocaine and other drugs are oragnic, so if you swallow any organic substance, you will be most likely stopped for swallowing drugs,

If the NDLEA says they are holding him for observation, lets just hope they are truthful in their findings, me just thinks if he is "suspected" to be traffickking drugs and he is freed, anyone could be suspected, If he feels hurt by that, he can seek redress, but don't let us argue about what is just and what is not just,

Well I just wanted to read and just pass on this but I just couldn't help but contribute.

Well yes some companies make NYSC a priority but some companies just interview you and if you prove your ability, with God on your side, you will get the job.

Using myself as an example, I studied in one of the most notorious school for part time studies in Lagos, (i don't want to call the name) after spending 7yrs for a 4Yrs Direct entry part-time programme, I eventually finished and graduate, armed with only my statement of result, I hit the labour market, I must have sent over 700 applications and CV combined (and this is not an exaggeration) eventually a company (i'll keep the name for security sake) called me for a test, out of 3,000 people that took the test, I scored the 6th highest and I was called for an IT test, in the IT test, I scored the highest, then I was called for an interview.

Armed with only my "statement of result" I went for the interview, on getting there, the panel was huge with 8 stern looking people, i passed around my resume and all the normal stuffs, the interview was gruesome, so many questions, demonstrations, sitting, standing and sweating. Just when i thought it had ended, someone brought up and observation about my results, He said I have only a statement of result and there was no NYSC discharge letter or exemption, It must have been God oh, make i no make mouth, see a huge arguement, someone said he is good someone said he is not, then I was excused,

with prayers oh, I was called to resume for the job like 3months later, thats it me with statement of result alone got the job, well thats what it is, 3years down the line, another american company put up vacancy, I applied, during the interview, the interviewer just wanted to know if i had experience and since I had it she did not even ask for any certificate or anything, I just got the job.

So my own two cents is this, tell you friend to take his chance, be bold and prayerful, God can still do it.

@jerryben, it is expensive to fly to africa cos of the cost of jet A1 fuel which is always changing and fluctuating, then the tax charged varies according to country, so your ticket might be cheap but when you add up the cost of fuelling and taxes, YT, YR and others the cost of tickets will rise init?

@hydroking23, there are no plans yet to fly to ORD yet, though people know ORD is the hub of United, United has 3 other hubs in the US, and continental has 5 hubs combined the two airlines (UA and CO) have 9 hubs in the US.

Also as information, all those who think "these" airlines spray insecticide on their passengers, it is not their faults oh! ask our port health people, who wants the planes "disinfected", and you have to spray it at the low altitude, well luckily, United airlines does not spray our planes with passengers in it, disinfection is done somewhere in the states!

No airline is perfect, you must understand, the aviation business is so unpredictable and there are so many reasons why the things that happen, happen, but i just want anyone that has any bad experience should think about those times they had good experinces.

It's not easy to fly a metal, across the atlantic, 10hrs or more and land it without issues, ask the Lander brothers!

I sat back and i was just reading what everyone was saying about united airline, well I work with United airline in Lagos, (don't ask for my email), as at October 2010, United airline merged with Continental airline making them the largest airline in the world, if in doubt try check www.google.com.


United started flying into Nigeria in December 13, 2010, with a B767-300 series aircraft, the route, LOS is being shared with ACC (accra) being a US carrier, and you know US is number 1 for security now (don't ask me how, I know) passengers deplane in ACC when the flights land in ACC either from the US or from LOS.

In November, Continental airline will be flying to LOS, a direct flight between lagos and Huston (LOS-IAH), they plan to bring the B787 dreamliner but due to delays it will operate B777 out of lagos in November (so watch out for that).
