You are clearly a historical illiterate, and Indomie generation mumu to be racialising violence, when the whites you worship slaughtered over 100 million of themselves in the last century alone, in what they termed 'world' wars, but which were in fact barbaric and savage European tribal slaughterfests.

I doubt your illiterate self is aware that Stalin, a white man, slaughtered 10 million of his fellow whites in a space of a few years in the 1930s.

And I guess, Adolf Hitler, who lined up 6 million of his fellow whites and gassed them to death, aided by his Nazi death squads and SSS stormtroopers, was a black person.

Oh but Boko Haram killed 1,000 people a year, and ''the black man is the worst human on Earth''

Make no mistake about it, Arab governments and their elite hate Israel with a passion and they are trying to coerce black African countries into denying AU observer status to Israel. If we give in to this black mail, we are the worse for it.

We have gained nothing from Arab governments and leaders, except slavery, savagery, racism and endless terrorism. These are the people who sponsor ISIS and other terrorist groups worldwide. They are against free speech and human rights, and they use what little power and resources they have to bully other less powerful nations to hating Israel and cutting off times with them.

Israel is the most advanced, progressive and modern country in the middle east. We have more to gain from Israel than any other country in the middle east. We can be partners in science, technology, agriculture and military innovation.

Black people should distance themselves from racist Arabs leaders and start charting their own course, or else they will continue to be the laughingstock of the world.

I stand 100% with Israel.

Thanks.

Politics / Tackling Unending Brain Drain In Nigeria by GodHatesBigots(m): 2:53pm On Jan 20, 2022

The quest for greener pastures by skilled professionals and individuals both young and old who have received advanced training in Nigeria has never been as alarming as we now have. Nigeria, just like other African countries have over the years been robbed of her best brains. These individuals move to developed countries like THE USA, UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia and use the basic and advanced knowledge they have benefitted from Nigeria to contribute to the host country.

This current trend has been attributed to some causes, which include; unsolved security challenges in Nigeria. The daily rise in the level of killing and constant destruction of properties of Nigerians with no sincere approach by the government in tackling this menace are seen as the main causes.

Wage differential between Nigeria and receiving countries is so large that even increase in wages cannot affect migration to developed countries. Apart from wages, the working conditions are quite different. Work tools are fully provided for with advanced technology especially in the health sector, which explains the massive brain drain in our health sector. Unemployment and underemployment of Nigerian graduates is quite distasteful as many people see university education as a waste of time and resources since there are little or no jobs available. Young graduates have been subjected to being nursery school teachers with some receiving less than N15,000, which is less than 31 dollars as salary per month. While some others go back to become business apprentices after graduation.

Unstable and inconsistent government policies, which is usually based on sentiments without consideration to how it will affect local businesses. An example of this was the Twitter ban in Nigeria. A lot of young entrepreneurs who have their business platform on Twitter App have suffered huge financial losses and setbacks. Instability of the foreign exchange rates and continual dwindling of naira before against other currencies especially the dollar. This has affected the cost of living and skyrocketed the prices of items especially foodstuffs in the past two years. The superiority of these foreign currencies over naira entices one to acquire them to gain an economic edge. Direct and indirect beautiful reports of our people who are now working overseas to their relatives or through social media handles, which convey evidence of conducive work environments and good standard of living is another cause of brain drain in our nation.

This brain drain or personnel mobility has its own effects on our nation. It has resulted in the high rate of turnover in organisation as employees simply stay on the job for a few months in order to raise money to process their visas and travel tickets. This simply put so much pressure on the remaining workforce as more job descriptions are added to their already cumbersome job. Also, Nigerian-based businesses are collapsing on a daily basis as competent employees relocate. The cost of recruitment, onboarding, learning and development of new employees plus the time wasted while the new employee masters’ operation process of the business affects the revenue of the organisation. Although, one can argue that brain drain has a positive impact like remittances made by people abroad to their families here in Nigeria. But this cannot be fully captured well in the nation’s economy because there is no proper structured way for it to reflect in the nation’s GDP.

How then do we make Nigeria conducive and reduce the brain drain and labour mobility to developed countries? The security of lives and properties should top the priority list of the government. There should be a sincere and holistic approach to tackle the insecurity and bring to an end this menace.

Financial and economic policies should be taken with due consideration to the impact they will have on the populace and local businesses. A well-researched and widely consulted policy will also definitely attract foreign investments. Work environment should be well-equipped with up-to-date technological tools especially in government owned institutions like hospitals and medical centres. This will bring efficiency in service delivery and reduce medical tourism. Salaries should be made competitive and be paid as at when due. Government should provide higher education scholarship for indigent students, which is one of the attractions to developed countries. Academic research and development should be funded appropriately and given due attention. Nigeria should partner with indigenes who are currently in key job roles abroad and agree on brain sharing in order to develop the nation.

In conclusion, if a nation that bores the cost of providing basic and advanced training and education opportunities can as well provide career advancement and employment, the migration flow will definitely be reduced. Nevertheless, failure of the government and all actors in the economic system to address these issues, in ten years from now, Nigeria will just be a training ground and we will end up losing our vibrant youths to other nations as we saw in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games where athletes with Nigerian names represented other nations and won medals for their host countries which could have been ours.

Crime / Italian Police Arrest Alleged Nigerian Mafia Members Over Trafficking by GodHatesBigots(m): 1:59pm On Jan 19, 2022
Four alleged members of the Nigerian mafia have been arrested in southern Italy after a young sex trafficking survivor spoke out against them.

The men, who were arrested in Palermo and Taranto in the early hours of Tuesday, allegedly belong to the feared , a cult-like criminal gang that emerged in the 1970s at the University of Benin, according to police.

Investigators in Palermo who led the operation said the woman, who is also Nigerian, was forced into prostitution after taking part in an occult ritual bound up with traditional spiritual beliefs, known as juju, which bond victims to their traffickers and to any debts they will incur.

“The suspects were charged with slavery, human trafficking, kidnapping and pandering [recruiting prostitutes],” the police said.

The woman, whom investigators said was convinced by a Pentecostal cleric to report her captors to police, had been imprisoned, raped, blackmailed and forced into prostitution to pay a debt of about €15,000 (£12,500).

Before she left Nigeria, like many other victims of sex trafficking, the woman had been made to undergo a traditional oath-taking ceremony involving complicated and frightening rituals often using the women’s blood, hair and clothing. Those carrying out the ritual, which has been found to have a profound psychological impact on victims, make it clear that failure to pay off those debts will result in terrible things happening to the woman and her family.

A Nigerian cultural mediator offers condoms and psychological support to prostitutes working close to Naples, Italy

The abuse of religious and cultural belief systems in Nigeria has proved a deadly and highly effective control mechanism for traffickers recruiting women destined for the sex trade in Europe. A hugely profitable and well-organised criminal industry has been operating between Italy and Nigeria for more than two decades but the UN’s International Organization for Migration says it has seen a rise in the number of potential sex-trafficking victims arriving in Italy by sea in the past few years, lured by the promise of work in the country.

According to a Save the Children report last year Italy had 2,040 victims of sex trafficking – 716 of whom were registered in 2020 – with the majority of them Nigerian.

Father Enzo Volpe, a priest in Palermo who has been helping Nigerian women for nine years, told the Guardian: “These women are terrified of the threats and the violence perpetrated by their captors. They fear not only for their lives but also for those of their families back in Nigeria.”

“The problem,” said Volpe, “is that behind the slavery of these women there is a real mafia with members operating across the continent, who have total control over their victims.”

Last year, Italian police arrested 30 people suspected of belonging to the Nigerian mafia, which has been operating in many regions of the country, among them its suspected 35-year-old leader in Italy.

Politics / EXCLUSIVE: Boko Haram Fighters Establish Two Markets In Controlled Territories by GodHatesBigots(m): 6:44pm On Jan 17, 2022
The Islamic State-backed faction of Boko Haram, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) has established two open markets in Borno State.

SaharaReporters gathered that the markets are established in Daban Gajere, located very close to Bulwa Bakin Dam and Tamfalla in the Marte Local Government Area.

“The markets are expected to be open for business on Wednesday and Thursday of every week,” SaharaReporters was told.

It is not the first time that the brazen terrorists would establish markets, determine levies and fees for traders and collect revenue.

In 2019, the terror group took full control of some strategic fishing communities in the Lake Chad of Nigeria and established markets in Kusiri in Chad and Kinchhandi in Niger Republic.

SaharaReporters also reported how ISWAP established two Wilaya’s (Caliphates) at Lake Chad and Sambisa forest to sustain its war against countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.

According to sources, the terrorist group lifted the ban imposed on fishing and farming activities in the Lake Chad area, three years after chasing people out of for allegedly spying for Nigerian troops.

It, nevertheless, imposed new taxes and levies in the areas controlled by ISWAP-Boko Haram, to regulate trades and agricultural activities.

Several fishermen, farmers and merchants had returned to the Lake-Chad area to engage in socio-economic activities, under the arrangement of the new ISWAP-Boko Haram leadership.

Since the death of JAS leader, Abubakar Shekau, ISWAP has been consolidating its grip in locations around Lake Chad.

Just recently, it appointed Wali Sani Shuwaram, a 45-year-old as the new Leader (Wali) of ISWAP in Lake Chad.

The sect’s membership has swollen with the defection of hundreds of Boko Haram fighters under Shekau.

The Nigerian Army has repeatedly claimed that insurgency had been largely defeated and the military frequently underplays any losses.

The terror group has caused over 100,000 deaths and displaced millions of individuals mainly in Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe states.

Politics / U.S. Gains Opportunity To Export Some Pork Products To Nigeria by GodHatesBigots(m): 5:20pm On Jan 13, 2022
U.S. pork producers can now export sausage and similar products to Nigeria. On Jan. 12, the country located on the western coast of Africa, announced it is partially opening its market to U.S. pork.

“Nigeria has the largest GDP of any African country, with a population of just over 211 million, we are excited to be the first U.S. protein to be allowed access to the Nigerian market,” said NPPC President Jen Sorenson in a statement. “NPPC thanks the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for their efforts to reach an agreement that allows the U.S. pork industry to provide affordable, wholesome and nutritious products to Nigerian consumers.”

While other U.S. pork products – and beef and poultry – remain ineligible to be exported to Nigeria, NPPC is optimistic that the country’s partial opening will lead to more access for the U.S. pork industry, the organization said.

In 2021, the U.S. pork industry (through November) exported more than $7.5 billion of product to more than 100 countries.

This news follows India's announcement on Jan. 10 to allow imports of U.S. pork and pork products. This is the first time India will allow U.S. pork into the country. The development comes after decades of negotiations between the two countries and the successful revitalization of the U.S.-India Trade Policy Forum held in New Delhi last November.

U.S. Meat Export Federation President and CEO Dal Halstrom says the pork export business is booming.

“I think it's safe to say I have never seen demand this good. And demand domestically is pretty good. So you add the two together – domestic demand and the international demand – that’s part of the reason we're seeing some of the prices we're seeing because demand is just so darn solid,” he said on AgriTalk on Jan. 11.

Politics / 2023: Igbo President Will Intensify Biafra Agitation – Uche Mefor by GodHatesBigots(m): 4:54pm On Jan 13, 2022

Uche Mefor, former Deputy Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has said a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction won’t stop the agitation for Biafra.

Mefor said a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction would instead further intensify the agitation for Biafra.

The former IPOB deputy leader made the remark in a post on his Facebook page.

Mefor’s post reads partly: “This is very unlikely. An Igbo president of Nigeria will even intensify the agitation for the restoration of Biafra.

“Biafrans must concentrate on the Biafra Territorial politics with a view to controlling the political space in Biafraland.

“Nigeria is an ideal candidate, would be completing the cycle of the status of an ideal contender highly and likely to be subjected to remedial secession if she mishandles the Igbo bid for presidency and denies or scheme them out.”

Lately, Igbo political stakeholders have been agitating that the Southeast be allowed to produce Nigeria’s next president.

He will turn Nigeria to world powers. Same has been achieved in Lagos where agberos are the real powerful tools ready to conquer the world. I stand with Tinubu.

Politics / The SouthEast Destiny Movement For Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2023 by GodHatesBigots(m): 5:04pm On Jan 06, 2022

SDMBAT, said Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, has the pedigree to pioneer the affairs of Nigeria from 2023.

Chief Ekene Enefe, Convener of SDMBAT, expressed the group’s support at a news conference in Awka on Thursday.

Enefe described Tinubu, one of the All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, as a good man who deserved to be encouraged to make things happen positively for the country.

He said the group had assessed the value Tinubu had brought into Nigerian politics, economic and infrastructure foundation laid in Lagos and more importantly, the manpower built during and after his reign as governor of the state.

According to him, Tinubu is one of the most detribalised Nigerians who as a governor, had appointees from every part of the country.

“He is one man that believes in merit, if you have the competence he is looking for, he engages you, that is the kind of man Nigeria needs now,” he said.

Enefe said SDMBAT supported the call because what the country needed in the next president was capacity, competence, experience and national acceptability

He said there was nothing wrong with having a president of southeast extraction but it should not be one spearheaded by selfish politicians and ethic champions.

”I don’t think we need ethnic champions now, what we need in Nigeria is a good leader who is informed, can harness and allocate the resources of the country equitably.

“We cannot continue to advocate for a president that is based on ethnicity. There was a time when people from southeast occupied good positions in government but it did not translate into improved infrastructure in the region.

“As a matter of fact, some of the champions of the president from southeast extraction are doing it for selfish reasons.

”How have they used their former opportunities to better the lot of the people in their immediate environment,” he asked.

The convener further said that SDMBAT was largely made up of youths desirous of national cohesion and progress with presence at the grassroots in the southeast region.

He noted that the group had contact with every community in southeast, had been existing but decided to provide its platform for Tinubu because he represented a better opportunity for APC and better leadership for Nigeria because of his proven experiences.

Politics / Why Nigerians Must Stop Cheering The Demise And Destruction Of Our Soldiers by GodHatesBigots(m): 12:28pm On Jan 06, 2022
First of all, I want to say that as an Igbo man, I am 100% against all the soldiers responsible for the massacre, genocide and torture of innocent Nigerian citizens in all parts of the country. I do not wish them well; I pray karma finds them quickly.

However, the majority of our soldiers are gallant warriors who are giving (and many have given) their very lives for the sake of this country. Whether Nigeria is a failed state or not does not change the fact that these young men and women are living altruistic and harsh lives for the defence and peace of this country. As we speak, many are in the bush and forest, not knowing what fate awaits them the next minute or hour or day or week or month or year. They have given up their very existence for the sake of one Nigeria whether you love or hate Nigeria.

Secondly, there are many in the army who never wanted to join the army in the first place - these are secondary school leavers, graduates and others - who went into the army to get a job that will enable them to feed their parents, wives and children. Many of them have died horrible deaths at the hands of terrorists, bandits, regular citizens, herdsmen and UGM.

Yet, Nigerians from various tribes have formed a habit of mocking their demise, laughing at their destruction and turning this whole issue into a tribal war. I have read comments here that almost caused me to lose faith in humanity. Evil, hateful, malicious, bitter and shameful statements coming from intellectually bankrupt and morally vacuous Nigerians with nothing better to do than spread hate and violence.

I want to admonish all of you to think carefully before commenting on the pain, suffering and death that our soldiers are having to endure in this sham of a country called Nigeria. They have mothers, fathers, siblings, friends and relatives who love them - they have hopes, dreams and ambitions - if you were to provide many of them with better employment prospects including a trip overseas, they will grab it with immediate alacrity.

Without the Nigerian army, many of you will be refugees. So, show some respect.

In 2022 please let us be empathic, merciful, constructive and careful with our sayings, comments and contributions here on Nairaland.

Finally, I say rest in peace to our fallen soldiers, may God grant them eternal rest and comfort to their families.

AMEN.

There are Yoruba in NC, just as there re Hausa lands in Niger state, so Igbo been in delta and rivers isn't any anomaly. Even tiv have lands not only in Benue but also in Taraba. Also a minority tribe like ebira has lands in Nassarawa, Abuja, kogi and edo but yet has no state of it's own but is lumped up with a other tribes to form kogi

Exactly, but this is not natural. The TIV, Igala, Nupe etc existed before Nigeria, as nation states. The Igbos also existed as nation states. What is wrong with having one TIV or Igala state/nation ?

During the creation of the states, many Igbo areas were lumped into other non-Igbo speaking states, making them a minority tribe.

This was intentional.

We don't want TIV or Igala land, we want Igbo land that was illegally joined with newly formed non-Igbo states.

Buhari knows how to deal with ibos sha. He doesn't shout when they shout but anytime he drops an album on them, it's always a banger.

Na young John produce the beat this time grin cheesy

Deal with Igbos ? grin

The idiots backyard is ravaged with terrorists and bandits, he has borrowed Nigeria into eternal debt, youth unemployment is 65%, poverty is escalating and people are dying - yet you think he is only dealing with Igbos ?

Daftness should become a crime.
