The Jesuits & The Globe Earth: The Mother Of All Conspiracies!



Coincidences of dates, agendas, and goals, connect the Jesuits to a massive deception over the true shape of the earth – all for the purpose of a multi-faceted end time delusion.


Conspiracy. The word has taken a hit in the last 20 years or so. Evidence supporting the existence of conspiracies is frequently dismissed with a sniff as nothing more than a loony theory. But people quick to dismiss circumstantial evidence of evil as nothing more than idle speculation frequently overlook one important point: when there is sufficient evidence to support a theory, it moves from the realm of conjecture and becomes a possibility. Then, a probability. And finally, a fact.

Startling new evidence implicates the Jesuit order as masterminds behind a deception spanning centuries. This article will trace the actions and influence of the Jesuits’ involvement in perpetrating this lie. The purpose has been to change the perception of the masses regarding the earth, the authority of the Bible, the universe and the Creator’s position in it. This change lays the groundwork for the overwhelming delusion shortly to come upon the world under the first woe, or fifth trumpet, prophesied in Revelation 9: demonic “alien” invasion.

Sometimes the evidence is circumstantial. However, circumstantial evidence can be very compelling and should not be dismissed. According to a retired federal judge:

There are, generally speaking, two kinds of evidence, direct and circumstantial. Direct evidence is testimony by a witness about what that witness personally saw or heard or did. Circumstantial evidence is indirect evidence, that is, evidence from which you could find that another fact exists, even though it has not been proved directly. There is no legal distinction between direct and circumstantial evidence as far as probative value; the law permits you to give equal weight to both…

There is no reason to be prejudiced against evidence simply because it is circumstantial evidence. …In fact, proof by circumstantial evidence may be as conclusive as would be the testimony of witnesses speaking on the basis of their own observation. Circumstantial evidence, therefore, is offered to prove a certain fact from which you are asked to infer the existence of another fact or set of facts. Before you decide that a fact has been proved by circumstantial evidence, you must consider all of the evidence in light of reason, experience and common sense.1

A globe earth is unproven pseudo-science but is believed worldwide. It is a huge lie that has taken on a life of it’s own, being passed from generation to generation. Anyone who dares question it is mocked and ridiculed. Vladimir Lenin reportedly observed: “A lie told often enough becomes the truth.”

Nicolaus Copernicus

Copernicus is known for proposing a new and different model of the universe. Prior to Copernicus, most well educated people believed in the Ptolemaic model of the universe, which placed a flat, enclosed earth at the center of the universe. Copernicus suggested that the sun, not the earth, was the center of the solar system and the earth revolved around it. This “heliocentric” model is what is taught today, while the earlier “geocentric” model of everything revolving around the earth has been relegated to the historic dustbin.

Most people are aware that it was for promoting Copernicus’ ideas that Galileo Galilei was persecuted by the Roman Catholic hierarchy less than 100 years after Copernicus’ death. Accused of heresy, Galileo was forced to recant his beliefs and spent the last nine years of his life under house arrest. However, what most people do not know are the following significant facts:

Nicolaus Copernicus, 1473-1543

Copernicus belonged to the Third Order of St. Dominic. When he wished to pursue a career in the church, he studied, among other things, astrology and astronomy.While some sources maintain that Copernicus never took the vows of a priest, he was a cleric and never married. Furthermore, “the fact that in 1537 King Sigismund of Poland put his name on the list of four candidates for the vacant episcopal seat of Ermland, makes it probable that, at least in later life, he had entered the priesthood.”2When sought for advice about how to reform the calendar, Copernicus at first demurred to answer, but later wrote a series of letters to Pope Paul III containing accurate observations which “actually served, seventy years later, as a basis for the working out of the Gregorian calendar.”3For a long time Copernicus refused to publish his beliefs on a heliocentric universe. Finally, in 1531, he published a brief abstract, stating his theory in seven axioms. From this, the concept spread rapidly.Two years later, Albert Widmanstadt lectured on the Copernican model before Pope Clement VII, an action for which he was rewarded.In 1536, Cardinal Schonberg, who was Archbishop of Capua, urged Copernicus to fully publish his theory or, at the least, have a copy made at the Cardinal’s expense.Between 1539 and 1541, a 66-page letter and a preliminary chapter were published and distributed.As Copernicus explained in a letter to Pope Paul III, he finally yielded to the insistent urging of Cardinal Schonberg, Bishop Giese of Culm, and other knowledgeable men, and agreed to submit his manuscripts for publication. A completed, published copy of his book was placed in Copernicus’ hands just hours before his death on May 24, 1543.

It is important to note that Copernicus’ theory of a heliocentric universe was well known to the upper levels of the Catholic Church in his lifetime. While Copernicus preferred to publish his theories after his death, it was at the persistent entreaties of high-ranking church officials that he finally agreed to publish his manuscripts. Furthermore, it was not the Catholics who initially rejected his views, but Martin Luther, Philip Melancthon and other Protestant leaders. Catholics themselves admit: “Opposition was first raised against the Copernican system by Protestant theologians for Biblical reasons.”4

Question: why would Roman Catholic leaders persistently pressure Copernicus to publicize his theories of a heliocentric universe, theories for which they condemned Galileo less than 100 years later?

The answer is complicated, but reveals the motivation for what became a vast Jesuit conspiracy: it was necessary to change the public conception from an accurate understanding of the shape of the earth to a false belief so people would be more susceptible to the final delusion of an “alien” invasion.

Hegelian Dialectic

The Hegelian Dialectic is a tool used by governments and various change agents to influence public thinking and bring about a desired change. Simply put, a problem is artificially created. This problem draws out a pre-determined response. The response is then used to produce the desired solution.

Almost all major events in history employ the Hegelian Dialectic of: Problem – manufacture a crisis or take advantage of one already in place in order to get the desired Reaction of public outcry whereby the public demands a Solution which has been predetermined from the beginning.5

The Catholic hierarchy was presented with a perfect opportunity to lay the groundwork for a worldwide deception to bear fruit in the final generation. The deception required a small, globe earth, spinning through vast, limitless reaches of space, a space inhabited by aliens and other sentient life forms. This created doubt in the Bible as the inspired Word of Yahuwah, for the Bible presents the earth as unmoving. It also removed the Creator far away from His creation by presenting a universe unimaginably vast. The change agent to engineer this transformation in belief was the newly created Society of Jesus, commonly known as the Jesuits.

Jesuits & The Counter Reformation

At the very time Copernicus was resisting appeals to publish his theory of a heliocentric solar system, the Roman Catholic Church was waging war on the new Protestantism. Catholics admit the “Counter Reformation” was “an effort to stem the tide of Protestantism by genuine reform within the Catholic Church.”6 The Jesuit order was established in 1540 under the approval of Pope Paul III—the very pope with whom Copernicus had corresponded regarding calendar reform and to whom Copernicus dedicated his book, Revolutions of the Heavenly Bodies!

It cannot be overstated: the Catholic Church was the force behind Copernicus, persistently urging the reluctant cleric to spread abroad his heliocentric theories that contradicted Scripture. The newly formed Jesuits were the perfect instruments to affect a clandestine operation, changing public perception of the authority of Scripture, the earth, and the Creator. The difference between the Jesuits and all other Catholic orders was that the Jesuits deliberately invited demonic spirits into their followers. This was done through the “spiritual exercises” of Jesuit founder, Ignatius Loyola. These spiritual exercises made them virtual mind-controlled slaves. In their own words, they were to be as a “corpse or cadaver” to “unhesitatingly obey” the will of their superiors.

When the Jesuits deliberately opened their minds to the influences of demons, it brought in a spirit of evil and a demonic intelligence that was unprecedented in Catholicism. It also made the Jesuits extremely successful in every undertaking. Because human life is so fragile, individual lives are so short, no one person, or even group of persons, can plan and implement the long-reaching evil that the Jesuits have perpetrated upon the world.

Guided and inspired by supernatural demonic intelligences, the Jesuits became infamous for their adeptness at deception and subterfuge; their ability to infiltrate governments and institutions of learning, and the influence they wielded, standing as advisors to kings and leaders in education. Working through government entities and education, they have been able to guide scientific research to further their own ends and present the biggest lie of all time: a globe earth.

Follow The Clues…

Following Copernicus’ reluctant publication of his theories, the Jesuit order produced more astronomers than probably any other specific demographic in Europe. That an ostensibly religious order should produce so many scientists is itself cause for surprise. That the scientists of said order were focused almost exclusively on only one area of science is further cause to question. A study of astronomers from the 16th through the 21st centuries reveals a veritable Who’s Who of leading astronomers who were also Jesuit priests. Even the modern civil calendar, the Gregorian calendar, was crafted by a Jesuit astronomer, Christopher Clavius.

As long as people accepted Scripture’s cosmology of the earth as a fixed, immovable mass under a protective covering, there was no foundation on which to build lies designed to make the human mind doubt the word of Yah. By decreasing people’s trust in the dependability of the Bible, it curiously increased confidence in the pope as Heaven’s appointed authority on what to believe. The Jesuits have always been enemies of the Bible. Since the Catholic Church ranks papal decree and tradition above the Scriptures anyway, decreasing confidence in Scripture increases confidence in pastors, priests and the pope as authorities that know more than the common man can.

Just as soon as the Biblical, geocentric model was set aside, a new explanation was required. A globe earth, traveling millions of miles around the sun, itself moving through illimitable realms of space, became necessary to explain the new heliocentric model of the universe. This, in turn, created an environment in which the writings of Charles Darwin found a receptive audience who took his elementary speculations still further. Just so long as people relied upon the Bible as the supreme authority, they would never have accepted Darwin’s theories. But once science “proved” the Bible was wrong about something as basic as the shape and movement (or non-movement) of the earth, science sharply diverged from religious faith. Anything was possible! Nothing was above question, including the creation of the world and the existence of extraterrestrials.

Advancing the Lie

“The Big Bang Theory is [today] the leading explanation about how the universe began. At its simplest, it talks about the universe as we know it starting with a small singularity, then inflating over the next 13.8 billion years to the cosmos that we know today.”7 The Big Bang Theory is atheist science’s answer to Genesis 1.

Father Andrew Pinsent serves on the Faculty of Theology at Oxford University. He holds advanced degrees in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome as well as a doctorate in philosophy. He also holds a doctorate in particle physics from Oxford. This incredibly intelligent priest/scientist stated in 2015:

Being both a priest and a former particle physicist at CERN, I am often asked to give talks on faith and science. Quite often young people ask me the following question, “How can you be a priest and believe in the Big Bang?” To which I am delighted to respond, “We invented it! Or more precisely, Fr Georges Lemaître invented the theory that is today called the ‘Big Bang’ and everyone should know about him.”8

That is correct. The author of the Big Bang theory was none other than the Jesuit-trained priest, Father Georges Lemaître. On October 28, 2014, Sarah Kerr reported on Pope Francis’ address to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences. In his remarks, the pontiff “said the Big Bang theory is compatible with the Catholic Church’s teaching on creation.”9 Pope Francis stated: “The Big Bang, that today is considered to be the origin of the world, does not contradict the creative intervention of God; on the contrary, it requires it.”

Follow from cause to effect: without a globe earth circling the sun through the far reaches of space, you do not have the Big Bang. Without the Big Bang, you do not have evolution. Without evolution, you are more likely to accept creation as an act of intelligent design by a divine Creator. The Roman Catholic Church does, in fact, accept evolution. In her report, Kerr further stated: “The pope said it is possible to believe in both, insisting God was responsible for the Big Bang from which all life evolved.”10

Copernicus and the Church: What the history books don't say

Many believe the heliocentric theory was immediately rejected by the Catholic Church. However, the relationship between the Church and Copernicus is much more complex than popular historical narratives suggest.

Legend has it that Nicolaus Copernicus and the church were at odds over his development of the heliocentric theory, a principle that disputed the widely held belief that Earth was the center of the universe.

Unlike Galileo and other controversial astronomers, however, Copernicus had a good relationship with the Catholic Church. It may come as a surprise, considering the Church banned Copernicus' "Des revolutionibus" for more than 200 years. Copernicus was actually respected as a canon and regarded as a renowned astronomer. Contrary to popular belief, the Church accepted Copernicus' heliocentric theory before a wave of Protestant opposition led the Church to ban Copernican views in the 17th century.

Throughout his lifetime, Copernicus was active in the religious community. Copernicus was born in 1473 in Torun, Poland, the youngest of four children. At age 10, his father died and he were sent to live with his uncle Lucas Watzenrode, who would later become the bishop of Warmia (Ermland).

Copernicus studied at St. John’s Church in Torun's parochial school before going to Krakow Academy in 1491 to pursue astronomy and astrology. He became known as a skilled mathematical and astronomer, but he also maintained his ties to the church. He became a canon of the cathedral chapter of Frombork through his uncle, and he served the church of Warmia as a medical advisor.

Copernicus first outlined his ideas about the heliocentric theory in a manuscript titled “Commentariolus.” There he suggested a heliostatic system, where the sun was at the center of the universe and the earth made rotations.





The astronomer published “De revolutionibus” in March 1543, after more than a decade of revisions. The book included a letter to Pope Paul III arguing the legitimacy of the heliocentric theory. He died two months later.

“De revolutionibus” initially met no resistance from the Catholic Church. It was not until 1616 that the church banned the book. The ban continued until 1835.

Mano Singham, an associate professor of physics at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio, points out discrepancies between popular narratives about Copernicus and the full story.

Singham published an article in Physics Todayin December 2007 disputing the assumptions that Copernicus’ ideas were “fiercely opposed by the Catholic Church.” The article, “The Copernican myths,” debunks many assumptions: that people regarded Earth as the center of the universe with pride, that Earth was believed to be the center of the universe rather than at the center, that the Catholic Church immediately rejected Copernicus’ findings.


Copernicus’ heliocentric model did receive some criticism from colleagues, but it was in part due to people’s understanding of direction and of Earth's mass in relation to the universe, Singham writes. “De revolutionibus” was read and at least partially taught at several Catholic universities.

One possible reason for the misconceptions about Copernicus is the execution of Giordano Bruno, a philosopher who was known as a heretic and an advocate of Copernican theory. While he was condemned for other reasons, Bruno became known as “the first martyr of the new science” after he was burned at the stake in 1600.

However, the article also notes that Copernicus gained ridicule from poets and Protestants, who condemned it as heresy. While the Catholic Church initially accepted heliocentricity, Catholics eventually joined the wave of Protestant opposition and banned the book in 1616. The Protestant churches accepted Copernicus’ findings after more evidence emerged to support it. The Catholic Church, however, remained ground in its anti-Copernican beliefs until the 19th century. The ban on Copernicus's views was lifted in 1822, and the ban on his book until 1835.

It is worth noting, as Stanford University does, that the Catholic Church had no official stance on Copernican teachings. Pope Clement VII, who died about a decade before Copernicus, was said to have been receptive about the astronomer’s theories. While there was no recorded response from Pope Paul III, one of his advisors intended to condemn the book before dying.

Phil Lawler, editor of Catholic World News, also says Copernicus was in good standing with the Church when he died. He notes that while heliocentric theory was controversial during Copernicus’ lifetime his work did not cause him any conflict with the Catholic Church.

"Yes, he delayed because he feared an adverse reaction — not from Church leaders, but from his fellow scholars. There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that Copernicus was worried about a hostile reaction from the Church.”

Despite the resistance to Copernican views in the future, the astronomer’s life was one immersed in religion. And while it may be forgotten, it is under the auspices of the Catholic Church that Copernicus made his theories known.

The Babylonian Map of the World

I was really happy that 32 people turned up to the British Museum tour yesterday. It was the biggest tour group ever.

Among many other fascinating artefacts, we looked at a marvellous clay tablet which has a map of the world on it. It is usually dated to the 5th century BCE and was discovered at Sippar, southern Iraq, 97 km north of Babylon on the east bank of the Euphrates River. It is in fact the oldest known map of the world.

The map is circular with two outer defined circles. The inner circle represents the known world and the outer circle, the salt sea.

Babylon is in the centre of the map and the world is traversed by the two great rivers, the Purattu and the Idiqlat (Euphrates and the Tigris).

Parallel lines at the bottom seem to represent the southern marshes, and a curved line coming from the north, northeast appear to represent the Zagros Mountains. There are seven small interior circles at the perimeter areas within the circle, and they appear to represent seven cities.

Seven triangular sections on the external circle (water perimeter) represent named mountains (or some say islands) but the damaged clay tablet has lost the three mountains on the tablet’s lower edge.

If we take a side-view, rather than a bird’s-eye view, we can see that the Babylonians viewed the cosmos as a 3-tiered structure. The earth was circular, surrounded by the sea, then a shiny dome covered the entire earth and sea, held into place with another ring of land (sometimes a circular range of mountains) and below the world was Arallu, the underworld. The entire cosmos was then surrounded by the waters of chaos, both above and below.

To complete the image of the Babylonian concept of the world and add some characters to the story, we need to look at the Enûma Eliš, a tablet, one of the many tablets which records the Babylonian Creation and Flood stories. The Babylonians read this story every year during the New Year festival Akitu and it begins:

1 When on high, the sky was not named,
2 And the Earth beneath did not yet bear a name,
3 And the primeval Apsu, who begat them,
4 And chaos, Tiamat, the mother of them both
5 Their waters were mingled together,
6 And no field was formed, no marsh was to be seen;
7 When of the gods none had been called into being,
8 And none bore a name, and no destinies were ordained.

Enûma Eliš – Tablet I

A Primeval Battle

The epic goes on to describe an epic battle between Marduk, king of the gods, and Tiamat, the godless of the chaotic sea. Marduk and Bel defeat her, and Bel cleaves her body in twain, and uses it to hold back the primeval waters above and below.

95 Bel spread out his net and enmeshed her;
96 He let loose the Evil Wind, the rear guard, in her face.

Enûma Eliš – Tablet IV

This should sound vaguely familiar to anyone who has ever read Genesis. Even though the epic battle and the gory details of the dismemberment of Tiamat’s body have been omitted from the story, in favour of a cerebral and vocal creation, you can recognise the elects of the the Babylonian story. (1) Instead of fighting with a great beast “Tiamat”, the spirit of Elohim hovers over the surface of the deep “tehom” and (2) Instead of cleaving the body of Tiamat and using it to hold back the waters above, Yahwéh Elohim merely speaks a firmament into existence to push back the waters above.

Incidentally, the word for “watery deep” is “tehom” in Hebrew and it is etymologically related to “Tiamat”, the name of the sea goddess whom Marduk fought with. Also, the word for “firmament” in Hebrew is “raqia” and carries the meaning of “beaten out”, just like Bel did with Tiamat’s body. So we can see the stories are related.

Even though the Genesis creation story itself is sanitised as a polemic against the polytheism of Babylon, a Hebrew myth of Yahwéh defeating a great sea creature is preserved in other Bible verses.

Isaiah 51:9b-10 uses Rahab as a double image to represent Yahwéh’s ancient primeval battle with the sea monster at creation, and Yahwéh’s battle with the Red Sea during the Exodus: “Was it not you who cut Rahab to pieces, who pierced that monster through? Was it not you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep (tehom), Who made a Road in the depths of the sea so that the redeemed might cross over?”Job 40:25-26 mentions Liwyātān (Leviathan) an ancient sea monster who lives in the waters of chaos and whose name reflects the Canaanite myth of Lotan, a primeval monster defeated by the god Hadad (again Lotan and Liwyātān are etymologically related words): “Can you draw out Liwyātān with a fish-hook? Or press down his tongue with a cord? Can you put a ring through his nose? Or bore his jaw through with a hook?”Psalm 74:13-17 links Leviathan to the creation of the world and to the seasons: “It was you who split open the sea by your power; you broke the heads of the monster in the waters. It was you who crushed the heads of Liwyātān and gave it as food to the creatures of the desert. It was you who opened up springsand streams; you dried up the ever-flowing rivers. The day is yours, and yours also the night; you established the sun and moon. It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter”.

Keep in mind that the Babylonians recited the story of the creation of the world every year at the New Year’s festival of Akitu, so that explains why even though Liwyātān is slain, it is referred to as still existing. It also exaplains why some of the biblical references to slaying the great sea monster refer to the distant primeval past, some refer to the Exodus, and some come across as future prophecy. The slaying of the sea monster was not viewed as a single event, but as a cyclical and recurring cosmic event in cosmological time. The epic poem of Enûma Eliš was recited on the first day of the Babylonian month of Nisannu (1st Nisan), in spring, so the slaying of the sea dragon Tiamat was also viewed as the Sun’s annual defeat of Winter.

The similarities in the two stories are too great to ignore, and when you look at other Bible verses you can really see a picture come together of how the ancient Hebrews perceieved their world and of how much they got from the Babylonians, no matter how they tried to hide that.

The myth of God fighting a sea creature in a great battle and slaying it even passed into the Christian period, with John mentioning the great dragon whose head would be crushed in Revelation 12: 3, 4, 7-9

“Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. […] Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him”.

We can see that by this time, the Christians had mixed two separate Jewish traditions, (1) the tradition of the Great Dragon Leviathan/Rahab and (2) that of the satan, the prosecutor that Yahwéh used in order to mete out his justice.

Interestingly, Rahab, is now the official Hebrew name for the planet Neptune in a 2009 vote organised by the Academy of the Hebrew Language.

At the tour, I forgot to mention the satan, so I will be doing a blog post on it soon and will definitely remember to talk about it in the next tour.

The Ancient Hebrew concept of the World

A firmament stretched like a dome and stopped the chaotic waters from breaching into the world. (Genesis 1:6-7“And Elohim said, “Let there be a firmament between the waters to separate water from water.” So Elohim made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so”, see also Proverbs 3:20; 8:27-28, Job 26:7;The firmament was a shiny metallic object make of glass-like material or lapis lazuli (Job 37:15-18 “Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?” Exodus 24:10 “There they saw the God of Israel. Under his feet there seemed to be a surface of brilliant blue lapis lazuli, as clear as the sky itself”.)The firmament had windows and doors (floodgates or storehouses) to let rain through (Genesis 7:11b “On that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened”, see also Job 38:22).The firmament was held in place by the “foundations of the heavens” (2 Samuel 22:8, Psalm 102:25)The earth was a circular disc of land (Isaiah 40:22, Proverbs 8:27-28).The earth had a strong base called the “foundations of the earth” (1 Samuel 2:8, 2 Samuel 22:16, Psalm 18:15, Psalm 82:5, Psalm 102:25, Proverbs 8:29, Isaiah 24:18, Isaiah 48:13, Isaiah 51:13, Isaiah 51:16, Jeremiah 31:37, Micah 6:2)The earth was floating in the primeval sea “hanging upon nothing” (Job 26:7)Within the earth was Sheol, the underworld (Job 14:13)The cosmos was not composed of space, but of chaotic waters or “tehom” (Genesis 1:2 “In the beginning God created the sky and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of Elohim was hovering over the waters”, see also: Genesis 1:2, 6-7; 7:11, Psalm 24: 1-2; 36:6; 74:13-17; 78:15, Isaiah 51:10, Amos 7:4)In tehom lived Leviathan also known as Rahab (Isaiah 51:9b-10, Job 40:25-26, Psalm 89:8–10, Isaiah 51:9)Yahwéh defeated Leviathan in primal history (Psalm 74:13-17)Yahwéh defeated Leviathan during the parting of the Red Sea (Isaiah 51:9b-10)Yahwéh will continue to defeat Leviathan in the future (perhaps a yearly event marking the return of spring).

Circle of the Earth?

During the tour, a member of the public tagged along to listen to what we had to say. He turned out to be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and visibly bristled at some of the things I had to say about various ancient artefacts.

By the time I reached the Babylonian Map of the World and started talking about the ancient near-east conception of the earth, a flat earth, he could bear it no more and asked me: “What about Isaiah 40:22 which refers to the ‘circle of the earth’?”. No doubt he believed that the Bible is scientifically accurate in describing the world as a “circle”. After all, a sphere does resemble a circle from all angles. However, there are a few points to note.

The Hebrew word “khug” does not mean sphere, it means a circle.

Other appearances of the word “khug” in the Torah tell us exactly what the word means. In Proverbs 8:27 it says:

“I was there when he set a circle (khug) on the face of the deep (tehom)”.

Some versions translate “khug” here as “edge”. The 1984 NWT (black Bible) translated it as “circle” and the new 2013 NWT (Silver Sword) translates it as “horizon”.

Elohim traces out a circle on the face of the deep which functions as the horizon, or the edge of the world. Again using the word “tehom” (deep) connects this act of creation in Proverbs with the creation in Genesis. The image is of an architect tracing out a line with a compass, and indeed the related Hebrew word for compass is “mekhugah” (literally, a “circle-maker”), which is mentioned in Isaiah 44:12-17 as a tool which idolaters use to mark their idols.

12 The smith maketh an axe, and worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with his strong arm: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth; he drinketh no water, and is faint. 13 The carpenter stretcheth out a line; he marketh it out with a pencil; he shapeth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compasses (mekhugah), and shapeth it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man, to dwell in a house. 14 He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the holm-tree and the oak, and strengtheneth for himself one among the trees of the forest: he planteth a fir-tree, and the rain doth nourish it. 15 Then shall it be for a man to burn; and he taketh thereof, and warmeth himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread: yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto. 16 He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied; yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire. 17 And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image; he falleth down unto it and worshippeth, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.

But did the writers of the Torah really mean sphere when they said circle?

No, there is a word for sphere or ball in Hebrew, “dur”, and the writers of Torah chose not to use it. Isaiah even used the word for sphere/ball in Isaiah 20: 18, where he said: “He will roll you up tightly like a ball and toss you into a wide land”.

This is irrefutable evidence that the Israelites and Babylonians had a very similar concept of the world.

Now, as I said during the tour. Whether you believe the Bible writers knew what the shape of the world really was and merely used these descriptions as metaphors, or you believe that the ancient Hebrews were ignorant desert dwellers who borrowed myths and legends from the peoples around them, it doesn’t change the fact that the Hebrew and Babylonian concepts of the word were very similar, and both are different from our modern 21st century perspective of a spherical Earth held in space by the gravity of the sun.

If you are a person of faith, this information doesn’t need to destroy your faith, and it is not its intention to do so. However, I don’t believe there is any value in trying to squeeze the Bible’s actual words into a modern scientific mould as the Watchtower often does, neither is it useful to claim that the Bible agrees with modern empirical science getting yourself tied up trying to explain away how a circle should really be interpreted as a sphere and how the expression “hanging upon nothing” reallymeans hurtling through the solar system held only by the gravity of the sun.

The Bible is not a book of science, and it can be appreciated on its own terms, as a work of brilliant bronze-age literature which forms the basis of modern Western culture, without having to take every word literally.

Now of course the Babylonian cosmology of the Earth is a circular plane which is flat. They also pictured the land and sea existing in rings with a dome covering the entire Earth. This is how I conclude that primordial Africans ancestors came from either the inner Earth which Babylonian cosmology declares exist and or they landed from outer land rings. So you can see which I will show later using other ancient sources the Earth has always been flat.
