Hi guys, I have an interview at the US embassy on 5th Dec. I'm going for tourism and do some shoppoing for my son's forthcoming birthday. I plan to travel 27th of Dec and be back on 7th of Jan because of my biz. I own a company and also married but my wife won't be able to go with me because of her job as she resumes few days into the new year. Now, my problem is, I have all the documents ready including statement of accounts of my company and personal, I have my company's certificate as well but I have never paid tax on it because the company is 17months old and the FIRS gives 18 months free on New company. I called the guys at the tax office and they said the tax payment will be in Jan. So how do i explain this to the vo that I have never paid tax on my company hence I don't have tax clearance Cert? Pls help guys and thanks.

As for me, I had absolutely nothing so I worded my sponsorship letter in a way that showed long time relationship between me and him and also stated that he has been supporting financially before

Yes proof of tuition will definitely how that your sponsorship is authentic. Don't forget to add the receipt and you could also state that she has paid that to proof her commitment. As for me again ; I did not pay any cent until I got to Canada.

Get a system preferably and go to airline website directly. I booked with Ethiopian Airline, there are Kenyan Airline and Egypt too. Those are about the cheapest there is. Pick dates and try to book then pay, they will email you your booking and ticket soon as your payment is confirmed.

Nothing good comes easy....my experience. After being scammed by the first Visa agent I braced my self to get a more trusted hand, in all of these the time lagging was so uncomfortable due to my plans as to my time and date.
I eventually got the Visa then the trusted agent booked me on Ethiopian airline. He booked through another agent. I made payment on the 3rd to have booked ahead to get cheaper fare because my Visa has up till early October to expire. I eventually got a mail that stated 16th of Sept. My shocker cane when I got a call that the ticket has been canceled due to some inexplicable reason as perceived my me, I requested my money back. The thing dey my account dey breath the next day they claimed they have Turkish Airline for me to fly after a week again, I transfered the money to my agents account for the 2nd time, the day b4 my date he asked me to go to the airport to confirm the authenticity of the ticket I printed out. They agents arrogantly and unexplainably cancelled the ticket again...imagine what could have been going on in my mind. Gave myself two days to think clear. I almost fell into an advanced scammer who appeared so desperate that I should send money a day after we spoke, I've never met him nor does he have an office.
To cut the story short, I booked my ticket myself and made payment via transfer on the spot and in less than 3 hours I got a mail of my reservation and ticket, eventually boycotting the Lagos immigration officers and other authorities to fly Ethiopian airline via Abuja.
Reason of posting this is for people to wise up and know there are several things we can do ourselves, much more cheaper...remember, nothing good comes easy.

You can transfer from your visit visa to employment visa without exiting UAE, it attracts a fee of (1,160 Dirhams)

Status change must be done before expiry of visit/tourist visa or grace period.

nothing really happened. Just finish ur attestation at edu n Foreign affairs , den u go to uae embassy n pay 10.5k for each document BTW 10am to 12 noon.

First of all increase your budget because of the current situation of the county Nigeria

Secondly sir what do you mean by miscellaneous 20k in UAE or Nigeria? Won't you eat, transport your self to interview, do photocopies of CV, buy bus card, buy sim, those little miscellaneous I just mentioned are even more than 20k in the current exchange rate not to talk talk of other things you going to need, please take your time and plan very well on this before jumping the ship

Thirdly... No good Samaritan will accommodate you in this present UAE, I might be wrong tho but sir it's What the eyes have seen, ears have heard that makes me come to this conclusion.

Enter with your tourist visa, it is allowed to seek employment as tourist, when you secure a job, the tourist visa will be converted to employment visa by your employer...

For those of you asking about Qatar, I cannot assure you will get a reliable response on this thread, overtime, this thread has prioritized Dubai as subject matter

but one tin I'm skeptical about is DAT even if I do attestation of cert, can I just change my job at will being DAT I'm under a 2yr contract?

also too, most bachelor degree jobs in UAE I saw on dubizzle require as much as 2-5years of which I know I don't have, which makes attestation of cert almost unnecessary.... #my naive thought though

Sire, it's the same thing, the basic of attestating your result is to be able to get a good work with your cert
Unless you want to work without the cert and get a cleaner, waiter.

- its not right to say she's going there to search for job, u either tell them u are on vacation, or visitation/tourist.

- if she's going with 3months visa then compulsory she must have her return ticket, no airline will board her with one-way ticket only.

Some teachers already relocated to their country,Some are changing job,Schools want u on ground b4 they resume to familiarize urself with the environment, especially this is your 1st time,there are a lot you need to Knw.

If you can't make it in August then wait till December when school go on vacation again.

When u open tour return ticket you have 1year to use the ticket. Whenever u want to travel go to the airlines office a week or more before when u wanna travel and ud be told what flights r available.. The longer u delay d ticket d lesser money ud pay the quicker u use d open ticket the more u pay... Bless

HELLO guys it was indeed a successful journey. my flight was scheduled to depart from abuja at 01:10 PM. I was at the the airport before 9am to make sure i escape and settle all the hurdles before boarding. with me are my clothes and food stuffs ( my regret was not parking lots of naija food stuffs before boarding). i passed through first security check: no problem encountered. on getting to the second check point i was stopped by customs personnel. They asked me to declare what was on me i told them it was my clothes,laptop and some food stuff. The man said i should open the bag for manual checking. "Why you wan delay my journey naa?" i boldly told him jokingly. He now directed me to agriculture section( i guess) where i was made to pay N1,500 ( receipted). on getting to where they weighed my bag it was discovered thet it was in excess, i was made to buy Ghana must go bag at ridiculous price of N1,000 to reduce excess luggage and N1000 for wrapping of the bag to protect it from damaging.Now the the immigration, The woman who was in charge sked me what was my mission to dubai,i told her i am going for vacation,she asked for visa i showed her, she asked for hotel reservation i showed her, she asked for BTA( i was only having $200 with me) i showed her three atm cards in my wallet. she was kind of insisting i show her $1,000 Bta. i now told her " Who get that kind of money for this buhari government?" They all laughed and began to demand for soft drink money. i gave them N500 and they stamped my passport. Thats all. The rest na stress free till i boarded the flight. Here in dubai no immigration hasssles just follow the instructions you will not have problem. Now the Job Hunt begins!!!


so far so good I MUST say it was kind of easy for me here in dubai as i have a brother/friend who made it easy for me to come and pick me at the airport at 4 am this morning and has been entertaining me with foods and drinks (Isi Ekwensu.

I was suppose to fly on last week Friday but couldn't make it Bcs of Financial issues and informed who opened the ticket without given me proper details on de processes to be taken when next I was ready to fly. Now dat I wanna fly on Friday I'm being told dat I have to pay 78k for next available flight on Friday. Dat money is just too much.
