esosa4real: Good day @ladyguinivere @all, greetings and pls I need your advice.
I plan to honestly visit my only surviving uncle in the US (Maryland) who is sick and on dialysis but I don't know how to go about my application due to some points.
1. I am a 29 year old single medical doctor working in Saudi Arabia (legal resident) but on a 2months holiday in Nigeria till February. I have visited UK, brazil, South Africa and Nepal all for Medical Conferences and never broke any law. My worry here is how to demonstrate ties to Nigeria as I want to apply from Nigeria since I am on vacation here. Is this possible and allowed
2. I don't know my chances if I apply from Saudi Arabia as there have been worrying concerns about Saudi due to terrorism and security threat, Infact my UK renewal a few months ago for a sept conference was denied on very flimsy excuses. (I think the western world are very careful about them now for political reasons)
3. I have been denied US visa 3 times on my first passport as a teenager between 15 - 20 yrs which I still have the passport. My dad made those applications then when he was alive and cant remember the exact causes of denial (I know at one point young age was the reason)
Please I need your suggestions and best advices because my honest plan is to visit for a week and come back to Nigeria to meet my return flight back to Saudi where I work.
God bless you all! 1. how often do u visit Nigeria? 2. do u have family here in Nigeria , or properties or business etc... to prove as ties? 3. ur travel history is OK, so just prove to the Embassy DAT ur business in Saudi Arabia is strictly professional. 4. pray a lot b4 u go, sometimes pple underestimate visa approval becos dey feel comfortable with wat dey ve. I wish u good luck ( tho I denied dis month but then, am looking forward visiting oda places, so I thank them for dis opportunity, wen next I visit they must approve) |

lalavita: This is a good compilation for a visitors visa. Though not compulsory, I would suggest the following
- 6 month personal bank statements (I know you mentioned bank statements but you did not give details) - 6 month corporate bank statements. Hope your corp account is buoyant... - reference letter from bank addressed to the Canada Deputy High Commission - photocopies of previous visas. This highlights travel history - for your letter of intro, ensure it is clear and concise. Highlight your ties to Nigeria! And clarify the purpose of your trip. - Re-review all your forms to ensure completeness and correctness
Good luck with your app. Hopefully your visa is approved. Make sure you come back and do not breach the terms of your visa. pls is dis information still valid as a process to follow? |

justjify: Hello gurus in the house, compliments of the season to you all. I used to think it was possible to apply for a 90 day tourist visa(3months) until I saw this on dubai visa site, posted on the 27th october 2016. Great gurus, kindly shed more light on this. Bless you. well ,I guess DAT is referring to tourist visa limit for 30days with no extention, while visiting visa still goes for 90 days. ( am not sure if this is the only answer but odas can add or take away from dis). |

ALAYORMII: Silly
Fayose is nothing but a deranged man who is not even fit to head a family let alone being the governor of a state.
His party has been in power for the last sixteen years and they achieved next to nothing and he believes he has moral ground to criticize a government that's not even two years in office

abbey621: Why then do we bother with having laws, we should just do away with all the laws and live like animals. By your reasoning as long as the end justifies the means nothing can go wrong. I have some examples that would help to put things in perspective for you:
1. Emeka/Haruna/Bolaji got a visiting visa and upon arrival to the U.S decided they were not going back. Emeka/Haruna/Bolaji cannot work in a high paying job because they do not have the proper papers hence they must result to stolen identities and forgery in order to get a job that pays higher. Emeka/Haruna/Bolaji have broken two laws, overstaying their visa and identity theft.
2. Bimbo/Ngozi/Hadiza applied for visiting visa at the U.S embassy, they were all denied due to not having strong ties to Nigeria. The visa officer feared that they might over stay their visa. Bimbo/Ngozi/Hadiza won visa lottery in the year 2022, they had their interview at the U.S embassy but were denied on the grounds that Ngozi is related to Emeka who overstayed his visa, Hadiza is a sister to Haruna and Bimbo listed Bolaji as her husband.
These two scenarios shows the devastating consequences of illegal immigration on those qualified to come here legally. You might say they just want to survive and feed their families but so does a bandit that robs a bank because he wants to pay for his child's surgery. The law is the law and offenders should be shown no SYMPATHY! Oga u wicked o wella, |
