What made Obama to rise to the presidency is not just his oratory, but his knowledge of the American economy, his knowledge of building bridges and his knowledge of the diversity of the American society.
But here, if Obi is trying to build bridges, they will call him birds of the same feathers. If he's trying to bring out facts and figures, they will say "na statistics we go shop", playing down on his depth of knowledge. It seems we cherish mediocrity in this country.
Nothing on earth would make me allow my children to live with other people as long as I am alive.
The hàtrèd I have for pastors is out of this world.
Not all pastors are evil. It is a sweeping generalization to say all pastors are evil. This can never be true. Having hatred for a fellow human being like us is also a bad reflection on us. Most of the times, it is what is in us will hate most in others.

Companies have some quantities of their products they allow employees to eat/drink/chew depending on the company's products. It's highly regulated. Some specific quantity is given every month to employees based on individual staff grade as sampling while some can be taken within premises, called drinking/eating chewing bay, not indiscriminate eating/drinking/chewing in undesignated places etc

Vice President Kashim Shettima has stirred fresh political debate after declaring that Nigeria’s presidency cannot be attained through coercion, while also suggesting that there are more qualified leaders from the South-East than Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Speaking on the country’s political climate, Shettima stressed the importance of inclusivity and consensus-building in a diverse nation like Nigeria. According to him, leadership must be built on trust and broad national acceptance rather than pressure tactics.
“In a multi-ethnic, multi-religious politics like ours, nobody can bulldoze his way to power through deceit, intimidation, threats or blackmail,” he said. “You get to power by building bridges and reaching out.”
The Vice President, however, expressed support for the emergence of a president from the South-East, describing it as a potential step toward healing longstanding historical divisions dating back to the civil war.
“I am for the emergence of a Nigerian president of South-Eastern extraction to heal the wounds of the civil war,” Shettima noted, though he criticized what he described as certain confrontational approaches adopted by some political actors from the region.
His remarks took a more direct turn when he asserted that the South-East has individuals he considers more qualified for the presidency than Obi, referring to the former Anambra State governor in pointed terms.
Shettima highlighted former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha as one such figure, praising his national reach and political experience across different regions of the country. He also commended former Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi for his infrastructural record, describing him as one of the most effective leaders to have emerged from the South-East.
Drawing from Nigeria’s political history, the Vice President emphasized the role of grassroots mobilization and alliances in achieving electoral success. He referenced the late Shehu Musa Yar’Adua’s strategy of building nationwide support networks, underscoring that political victories are often determined by coalition-building rather than regional popularity.
Shettima’s comments are expected to generate reactions across the political spectrum, particularly among supporters of Peter Obi, who remains a prominent opposition figure with strong backing among young voters and urban populations.
Political observers say the statement may also signal early positioning ahead of the 2027 general elections, as conversations around power rotation and regional representation continue to shape Nigeria’s political discourse.
As debates intensify, Shettima’s remarks have once again brought to the fore the complex dynamics of leadership, regional equity, and political strategy in Africa’s most populous nation.
kullozone: It's true, she didn't force anyone. Those who contributed should be ashamed of themselves... They're a big part of the problem in Nigeria because they lack basic reasoning.
Are you being ironical or you are serious with what you are saying?
SarcasticWords: A sad but truthful nature of women perfectly explained.
To the married man reading this, yes, your fear and worry isnt just paranoia.
That lovely wife of yours will cheat the moment the perfect opportunity presents itself. (That is if she hasnt already cheated 😉)
And for those of you whose wives own toys, she has cheated on you mentally, because whenever she makes use of those toys, she imagines someone (Definitely not you) going into her. Very soon the cheating will manifest itself physically.
Kpele!
How did you come about this negative conclusion about the women folks? There are good women in the world. All you need to see a good one, is to be a good man yourself. Change your mindset, embrace God and you will meet a Godly woman, a wife material.

Just kidding sha, but I think it's normal for guys - I have on mine too, though I dey do small morning backyard gym, and my hands nor even grab like yours
It seems you use your hands often to lift heavy objects or you exercise the hands often. It is common among people that use their hands.
Prophit: I recently started talking to a fine young lady. She should be 28 yrs tops.
I didn't know her dating history cos I moved into the area like last year.
We just started talking this year, she manages a bet 9ja shop. I normally withdraw using the pos near her bet shop, and that was how we met and started talking.
There is a laundry guy in that area, I seldom patronize him, but the guy is chill. We greet and have discussions here and there whenever we cross paths. He doesn't mind that I rarely patronize him.
This guy's sister is about 21, in the university. She likes me a whole lot, but I have a policy not to date students (it's a long story. Don't ask me why)
He knows that his sister likes me and he knows I'm not giving her a chance. In fact one day he joked about it. And probably that's why he respects me a great deal.
So B4 we dive into the gist for today, let's call d guy Oba, let's call the bet naija manager Ego. Let's call Oba's Sister Anita.
I was standing with Ego today just gisting.
(I honestly like her, she is pretty, but I can't date her. I can't date a lady who is not on a trajectory to the top. No offence, but being a worker in all these bet shops affects the mindset. I think people that work there need to be rehabilitated. Both male and female. Again no offence)
So Oba passed by, as usual we shook hands and talked a bit, then he passed.
I noticed the weird energy between Oba and Ego.
It was visible to the blind that these guys shared a past.
"Seems like there is a story you'd like to share" I said "What story?" She retorted.
"Is he your ex?" I went straight for the jugular.
She stood silent for a bit. She tried to force a smile. "There isn't any story please." She said finally.
I didn't press further.
Just then someone called her into the bet shop to settle and issue or whatever that was.
So I turned to the pos lady who is her friend. It's like the lady was waiting for the opportunity to spill the tea.
She didn't even wait for me to ask.
"Men are wicked o. God forbid. To see better man na by connection." Said the pos lady.
(I forgot to give the pos lady her alte. So let's call her Agatha. I chose the name because she has a wide mouth, and which name do you have to say with your mouth open wide?)
So Agatha started talking.
"They used to date o. For like 2 years. Before they started dating, the guy was jobless. Ego used her money to open that laundry shop for him, spent so much money on him for 2 years, then one day he beat her up and broke up with her."
Now anyone with even a brain functioning below 2 percent will know that the story isn't complete. Agatha obviously skipped a lot of details to just present Oba as the devil.
And don't get it twisted I'm not saying he isn't the devil either. I'm just saying I don't have enough information from that gist to know who the villain was or is.
First, nobody beats up a woman for nothing. Second, nobody beats up a woman who is his girlfriend for nothing. Third, nobody beats up a woman who is his girlfriend, who opened a laundry shop for him, for nothing.
Agatha kept talking.
How Ego is still traumatised and hurt and broken, and devastated, and dejected, and...
She kept going.
I told Agatha to stop.
"I really sympathize with Ego, but I don't want to have this discussion with you or with her. Relationships fail all the time."
"Guys send ladies to school and the ladies end up marrying other people. Life goes on."
"Guys open businesses for ladies and the ladies still leave them. Even marriages break up. It just the way of life."
"I have been engaged to a lady. 2 weeks before our indoor marriage rites, after I had bought everything, she called it quits. I never laid my hands on her, never cheated on her. But that doesn't make her the bad guy."
Relationships are a bit more nuanced than many people believe.
That is why the best thing you can do for yourself as an individual is to invest in yourself.
Maybe you can invest in your spouse, but you see boyfriend and girlfriend, invest at your own risk.
As for Anita, I just got a couple more reasons to distance myself from her. Imagine having an elder brother who beats people up. For her, violence will just be a normal thing. I pity her boyfriend.
As for Ego, if I had even the faintest of feelings for her, such feelings died when I heard that story.
I can't be with another man's garbage. I too, deserve someone who hasn't been victimized and vandalized.
Imagine the distrust she will have for her next boyfriend or husband. No body deserves such level of damage done to them.
Don't let the story you heard about someone's past determines your decision about marrying such a person. Who doesn't have a dirty past among all of us? If God should judge us based on our past, then no one will make it to heaven.
Please, have a mind of your own. Give everyone and you yourself a second chance at success.
Irritating! Disgusting! Nauseating! Shocking! The demons of the "region of the Gadarenes" are still tormenting man today, beware! Run to Christ NOW! Time is running out.

WORD FOR TODAY Every man reaches a point where his strength is not enough. That moment is not meant to destroy him, but to draw him closer to God! **************************************** Scriptural Reference "And you shall remember that the LORD your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you… that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD." — Deuteronomy 8:2–3 (NKJV) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A man must never feel as if he is self-sufficient. No matter how much he has achieved, how far he has gone, or how strong he appears, he must always recognise his need for God. The moment a man begins to think he can live without God, life itself will remind him otherwise.
God, in His mercy, allows seasons that humble us. Not to shame us, but to bring us closer to Him. Sometimes the humbling point comes through lack; lack of what we obviously need and sincerely desire. A person may have success but lack peace. Another may have wealth but lack health. Some may have influence but lack a family, children, or fulfillment. These moments expose the limits of human strength and reveal the necessity of God.
The Israelites experienced this in the wilderness. God allowed them to hunger and then fed them with manna so they would understand that life is not sustained by human provision alone, but by every word that proceeds from Him. The wilderness was not only a journey; it was a lesson in dependence.
Apostle Paul also understood the humbling point of life. Though God used him to perform miracles and heal others, he still carried his own weakness. That limitation reminded him continually that grace, not ability, sustains a man. His strength in ministry did not remove his need for God; it increased it.
When life brings you to a point where you realize you cannot do without God, do not become bitter. Draw closer. Those moments are invitations, not punishments. They remind you that with God, you have enough, and without Him, nothing is secure. The humbling point is where pride dies and dependence grows. And in dependence, God reveals His power.
Questions for Meditation In what area of my life is God teaching me dependence? Have I allowed success to make me feel self-sufficient? How can I draw closer to God in my present situation?
Lord, keep my heart humble before You. In every season, remind me that I need You. When life brings me to my limits, help me to draw closer to You and trust in Your grace. Let my weakness become a place where Your strength is revealed. Amen.
Main Emphasis: God allows humbling moments to draw us closer to Him. Dependence on God is the strength of a man.
May God keep your heart humble, sustain you in every season, and reveal His strength in every area of your weakness, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Rep9jaCom: A lady has shared an emotional story about love, faith, and heartbreak after a 21-day church fast ended in an unexpected way for her, Rep9ja reports.
The story, which has been circulating widely on social media, tells how she believed a man she admired deeply would eventually become her husband.
According to her, everything seemed to point in that direction until the final day of the fast brought a shocking twist.
How The Fast Began:
She explained that her pastor announced a 21-day fast focused on seeking clarity in relationships. At the time, she already had someone in mind.
The man, she said, was kind, intentional, and spiritually grounded. They often prayed together, served in church together, and spoke frequently about purpose and faith.
Because of that connection, she decided to add a personal prayer request during the fast. “Lord, if he is my husband, confirm it clearly.”
She kept the prayer private, except for one person — her prayer partner, whom she referred to as Grace.
Prayers Shared With a Close Friend:
Throughout the fast, the two women prayed together every evening. They held hands, prayed for their futures, and encouraged each other during the 21-day spiritual exercise.
At one point, she admitted to Grace that she believed the man might be the one meant for her. “I think he might be the one.”
I'm a Christian. I don't believe my desire is different from God's will. I may not necessarily pray or fast to find out. If you love someone as a lady, tell him if the two of you could explore the possibility of getting married. It's exploration, not a must for him to accept.
seunmsg: There is nothing wrong with education. The problem is the funding model for our universities. We have over 140 public universities in Nigeria where students don’t pay tuition fees and you guys expect lecturers to be paid salaries. Just this weekend, a post by a student complaining of N125k fees for school logistics went viral on social media.
We want the best of everything and we don’t want to pay for it. A standard private secondary school in Abuja charges nothing less than N1.5m in a year but somehow, we want to pay N20,000 per year for university education and we don’t want lecturers to sleep in offices. Okay now, make all of us dey play.

LordBiden: The reason why comparisons like these don't make sense is this, how can you compare a nation of over 7m people with massive oil deposit with one with over 200m people.
What is Nigerian population compared to that of United States of America? Which country is more in number? Which country is more developed?
What they used the debt to do would be well worth it compared to debt borrowed by Nigerian government. Nigerian debt doesn't translate to development, especially when it comes to curbing inflation, job availability, production, health care, education, security and social welfare.
Odebayo4010: If you beg people for help, 4 things will happen.
1. They will start avoiding you like a plague. 2. When people start avoiding you, you become a liability, 3. When people see you as a liability, they will never give you opportunity or open doors for you. 4. When people don't give you opportunity, you will not be able to exchange value for money and you will be broke.
Stop begging people.
This does not apply to everybody. Not everybody avoids you when you ask for their help. Instead of dying in silence why not try your luck. It is a risk worth taking.
givedemwotowoto: According to the National Security Adviser to President Bola Tinubu, Nuhu Ribadu:
“Whether we like it or not, there are (terrorists) in Nigeria who want peace. They are our brothers. We must seek for dialogue and understanding (with the terrorists). - Nuhu Ribadu, Nigeria National Security Adviser.
