The worst addition to break depends on the individual. The one that is difficult for me is overeating, and not just junk, because I don't eat junk foods. I'm talking of regular cooked food. Cooked food can be very addictive whether junk or not.

These days, many churches feel less like the house of God and more like motivational seminars with a few Bible verses thrown in for decoration. Preaching Christ seems to have quietly given way to weekly pep talks—Sunday has become little more than "spiritual hype day."

And honestly, it’s getting worrying.

We’re hearing all sorts of gimmicks now, aren’t we?

“The louder your Amen, the bigger your blessing!”
“Tell three people your breakthrough has just landed!”
“Shout hallelujah like you mean business!”
“Give God a dangerous praise for a dangerous miracle!”

All noise. All theatrics. All emotional sugar rush — no substance. Jesus never said, “Turn up the volume and I’ll turn up the blessing.” But He did say, “If anyone wants to follow Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me” (Luke 9:23). That’s discipleship. No razzmatazz. No gimmicks. Just surrender.

But surrender is not exciting. Motivation is.

We’ve become a generation that loves being hyped but hates being changed. People want sermons that give them confidence, not convictions. They want steps to success, not calls to holiness. Many preachers know this — and they deliver what sells, not what saves.

That’s why we now hear more, “You’re going higher!” than “Repent and follow Christ.”
More, “Your destiny helpers are coming!” than “Be conformed to the image of His Son” (Romans 8:29).
More, “Your haters will watch you shine!” than “I am crucified with Christ” (Galatians 2:20).

It’s smooth. It’s exciting. It’s popular.
But it’s not the gospel.

The gospel is not about how to “unlock your greatness.”
It’s about how Jesus died, rose again, and calls us to die to ourselves and live through Him. (Ephesians 2:1–5).

Motivation can make you feel good for a week.
The gospel can make you a new creation altogether.

Motivation tells you to believe in yourself.
The gospel tells you to believe in Jesus.

Motivation tells you you’re destined to shine.
The gospel tells you to take up your cross.

We’ve swapped the hard message for the easy one — and the easy one is filling churches while emptying hearts.

The danger? People think they’re being spiritually fed when in reality they’re only being emotionally entertained. They leave church charged up but not changed. Excited but not transformed. Inspired but not discipled.

And let’s be blunt: Jesus didn’t die so we could have a more positive mindset. He died to save us, sanctify us, and shape us into His likeness.

It’s time we found our way back.

Back to Christ.
Back to the cross.
Back to repentance.
Back to surrender.
Back to discipleship.
Back to the gospel that actually has power (Romans 1:16).

Because all the shouting, all the “Amen competitions,” all the theatrics — they may stir emotions…
but only Jesus can save a soul.

Criticise them by preaching the right way. Let's be and do the good we want to see in the society.

Investing depends on who you are and what you love to do with your time.

You are not invincible. Don't brag about anything. Keep a cool head. Your job, your savings, your money, everything can grow wings and fly away. You are never invicinble. Save and plan for the rainy day.

Gun violence is different from targeted attacks on villages, farmlands, human beings etc for a number of decades! Any environment that allows free use of guns is prone to gun violence.

Nigerians don't think that way. They just prefer to blame farmers for high prices of food and tag farmers of being wicked. No one cares what it cost to produce. No one cares about the risk you take while going to the farm.

As you are complaining like this, they'll soon tag you as wicked. They won't even want to pay attention to your alternative suggestion of helping subsidising production cost which will lead to the same result of price reduction. You will hear things like, Nigerians are the problem of Nigerians.

I pity those who took loans to invest in rice milling factories.

Nigerian government is importing food items being subsidized by the leaders of the countries they are importing from while the production costs of the Nigerian farmers are skyrocketing without any program from Nigerian government to reduce agricultural input costs in their own country. A government that cares for local production and that cares for her farmers' welfare will not go that route.

My mum died not long ago, and my dad has a hand in her demise because her marriage was a turbulent one and she died of HBP, now shortly after she died, my dad came along with one woman who is very bold and shameless, first off she already has children from another fling not marriage, and now she comes and sleeps over, infact she's not discreet about it she's bold, brazen and doesn't feel ashamed of what she's doing.

Recently she has gotten more relaxed , she used to mind her business, she comes and do her thing and leaves, now she overstays, and she's now meddling in our family affairs, trying to mom me and my siblings now, then turning our dad away from us, now my dad sponsors her and her child from another relationship but neglects us like he did our mom.

I could easily make life miserable for her but I am not interested because I'm moving out as soon as possible, but what about my siblings, she has taken over everything and now she's my father's voice.

The best way to quench fire is not with fire but with water. Talk to your dad in a mature way about the neglect of your siblings. Then speak in a reasonable way with the other woman. Let her know what you like and what you don't like. But you should be ready to accept her as your father's present wife because I don't think there's anything you can do about that. Your father cannot remain single since your mother is not alive again. But let the woman know your likes and dislikes about her. Seek for ways to live amicably with her. Your right and the right of the woman can be protected in a way that nobody will be cheated. Don't hold grudges with the woman. Don't create enmity with the woman. I wish you the best.

Those nations have something to show for their debts. Nigeria practically has nothing to show for her debts.

Some months back I took a combination of clarithromycin, Omeprazole and amoxicillin one each and I went to bed but by morning my penis shrank and since then I've not gotten full function of my genitals, I thought it was reaction and it will subside soon, but after some weeks i went to a primary health care were they asked me to do urine culture test after which I was given antibiotics but even after the antibiotics no real improvement and then I went to the hospital and the doctor asked me to discontinue all antibiotics and I was given pain meds and some vitamins.
