Christianity Etc › Re: The Gift I Received That Changed My Life Forever by Godmind2022(m): 10:33am On Sep 24, 2023 |
Interesting15: Since I was born and up until now, I've been receiving different gifts from different sources. However, I will talk about the greatest gift I received many years ago when I was still a very young teenager, that changed my life forever.
First of all, this gift was given to me by GOD Himself, and is best summarized in John 3:16 -
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
So, God has been loving me way before I was born. And what is the proof of His love for me? He gave me His pleasant Gift! The greatest Gift ever! What's the Gift? THE GIFT OF SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST! Wow!
The greatest decision I made that transformed my life was when I decided to embrace His gift and surrender my life genuinely to Jesus Christ years back as a young teenager, making the decision to serve HIM and maintain a good relationship with HIM in spirit and in truth.
That decision changed everything about me, and my relationship with God empowered me in all important ways. Despite being a very young person, I could live above sin, the devil and hell. Hence, I couldn't even relate with addictions and heartaches and headaches that are prominent in the circle of many young folks.
I received the gift of the Holy Spirit, which is the prominent gift God is eager to give His begotten children (those who have received the gift of salvation) as a loving Father (Luke 11:13).
The greatest gift God is eager to give an unbeliever is salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. The greatest gift God is eager to give a child of His (i.e. a baby Christian) is the Holy Spirit. The greatest gift God is eager to commit to His sons (a mature believer who has received and is faithful with the gifts of salvation and the Holy Spirit) is the keys of His kingdom.
By accepting the gifts of God, I embraced a relationship with Jesus which set me on the pathway of destiny and purpose fulfillment early enough. Hence, I don't experience idleness, hopelessness, and helplessness. I've never been stranded in my life. The Holy Ghost empowered me for dominion.
Jesus is sweet.
The greatest decision you can make today is to accept the gift God has been offering you too. It starts by embracing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and you nurturing an intimate relationship with God your Father. This is what will empower you to live a life of complete dominion here on earth, and make you a sure candidate of Heaven (the rapture will take place anytime soon).
Run away from sin, and live your life for GOD. It is your destiny to live inside GOD through Jesus Christ Who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Only Jesus Christ could boldly proclaim: "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6).
If you want to submit to Jesus, simply say this prayer:
"LORD JESUS, I believe in my heart that You died for me and You raised on the third day for my justification. And so I confess with my mouth that You are my Lord and Savior. From today, I belong to the family of God. Thank You for giving me eternal life."
God bless you.

Health › Re: Milk: I've Been Farting Uncontrollably After Taking This... by Godmind2022(m): 10:27am On Sep 24, 2023 |
fadilaMaikiriki: Whenever I take milk, I tend to fart uncontrollably, like non-stop farting. Imagine you being with someone and the person is farting every three or five minutes. Honestly, this can be so annoying for the fartee and embarrassing for the farter.
The farts is the type that make the "ssshhhhhhhhhhh" sound. And sometimes the fart becomes noisy or vibrates.
Please, what can I do to remedy this? What can I do to stop the fart? It happens whenever I take milk. I take pap alot( infact I prefer pap to tea), and I take the pap with milk because I don't use sugar. Please, is there any alternative? Maybe a better milk that I can use for the pap.
Please, is there any one here who has/is experiencing this?
Or is it because of that particular company's product (milk)?
Has anyone here experienced this?
I would really appreciate your inputs, suggestions/opinions.
Thanks. Why do you take cow milk when you are not a baby cow? Why do you take human breast milk, when you are not a baby? Listen to your body alarm clock and thank me later. Take plant milk like almond, coconut- the immature one, especially, and soya and tigernut milk, not animal milk. As you grow older, the less animal products, the better for you! |

englishmart: Lagos is the only southwestern state that can produce non-indigenous wealthy people. You see osun, ondo, kwara, Oyo, ogun, and Ekiti, those ones have no indigenous millionaires let alone non-indigenous ones. Lagos is their UK. I remember lodging in Ekiti in January, I was told to bathe in a nearby river if I needed to have a bath. I was given dirty wrapper, bucket and soap. While we were still discussing, I saw an army of bedbugs dancing around the corner. I had to forfeit the #1500 per night I already paid and left before they mined my skul. Ogun state is so backward that they call primary school college:
Lagos is built by the colonialists and non-indigenes. Yorubas contribution to the growth of Lagos is puny and can easily go unnoticed
Edited: kwara is north central, but a former Yoruba state that was forcefully snatched from the loudspeaking cowards You mean no good hotel in Ekiti State? I guess it depends on where you went to lodge. |

Yankiss: Sure. There are too many for this space. A summary of one or two would suffice. When I lost my dad, I became the Regent to the vacant throne as he was a king. I was young. Ambitious chiefs saw me as vulnerable and easily dispensable. I had nothing. The chiefs surrounding me were pliable and easily betrayed me because they felt I was very vulnerable to the array of strong forces lined against me. God took over. I found courage I didn't know I had. Each time there was an oncoming challenge, God showed me everything in a vision. The weaknesses of the fomenters and how to overcome them. If I had no money, enough money to solve all issues came my way inexplicably. Thus, I found myself winning unprecedented battles for which no one gave me a single chance. If I give a blow by blow account, you would be really shocked. When I was young and read how God intervened among the Israelites, I thought it was fairy tales. Now, I know better!! God is real and works for good for them who place their trust in Him. Thanks for sharing this. God bless you real good. |

boltwings: this was a job that I was not 100% qualified for but by God's grace I got the job. Let me just say I was 50% qualified and have not handled the kind of job before but have an idea about it. The task was huge and the salary was over 200k few years back. I was wondering how I could handle the whole thing and I was managing the whole branches under me and others.
But God came into the picture.
Each time I sleep, I ask God to help me do my job well. Then as I sleep, I begin to see excell spread sheet tables on how the job is to be done, how it's supposed to be arranged. Sometimes I will sleep and begin to see different analysis reports, the corporate management processes involved. As I was seeing all these, I was implementing them live and suggesting new things to the company and providing solutions to problems.
There was no kind of inventory analysis I didn't do and submitted all kinds of reports.
God too much jare, what ever you are currently facing just put God into the equation, even if you fail, then it's God's will.

jackmrandy: So this morning I left my house going out to MY place of hustle. Boarded one of those commercial bus, and off we go. On getting to my bus stop close to a bridge, I saw crowd looking at a sack of waste bin. the look on their face, you could tell something was wrong. I got out from the bus and went and view for myself, behold a dead baby (about 8 or 9 months) placed in the sack and no clothes, not cleaned, unblical cord dangling out. I would have snapped but the site rolled tears from my eyes and as such no need to bring out my phone to snap.
what could make a woman after carrying pregnancy for over six months, and still end up killing or dumping the baby in waste bin ?
secondly, even if that baby was dead on delivery, are dead babies supposed to be dumped in the waste bin like normal waste?
We all know the economy is hard on everyone, but its not a yardstick for a man/woman to have unprotected sex, resulting in pregnancy and at the end start looking for where to do abortion.
this act could have been done by young girl/lady who probably didn't know what to do or the person who impregnated her absconded.
Babies are gift from God if you can't take care of a baby, no need carrying a pregnancy. and even if you will carry the pregnancy, make arrangement with an orphanage home and keep the baby there.
So many women in their 30's and 40's are still looking for this gift, but they are yet to get it.
Church, Mosque, Traditionalists, and Institutions of learning should educate more on this. And most especially, parents train your girl child in the right way so that society will not be seeing things like this.

Education › Re: How Private School Owners In Nigeria Deprive Their Teachers Of Rest by Godmind2022(m): 5:50pm On Aug 29, 2023*. Modified: 2:57pm On Aug 30, 2023 |
Rapmoney: It seems as if private school owners in Nigeria belong to a secret cult that is hidden from the public, and which is different from the usual private school owners association that we know of. It's as if anyone who opens a school is forced to join this 'evil association' with utmost alacrity. Why do I feel so? There is a laid down pattern which almost everyone of them follows. To suck you, use you and drain the youthfulness out of your soul.
All over the world, July/August is usually a long holiday when teachers take out time to rest, go on vacations or engage in acquiring new skills that could even be outside their field. What we usually observe in Nigeria is different from this. In Nigeria, it is a time where school owners engage teachers in fruitless and vain holiday lesson just to suck money from gullible parents and prevent the teachers from engaging in other endeavours that can improve their lives and wellbeing.
If you're a young person and you work in a private school, I beg you, have different plans for yourself and set targets for the duration you wish to work in the school, if you don't want your life to become wasted. There is no career growth in Nigerian private schools. The highest that will be offered you when you work for 10/12 years is the post of a principal/headmaster/headmistress and with a salary of 70k - 80k. After that, what happens? Of course, you can't be promoted to occupy the school owner's position.
Don't get me wrong. I am not saying that working in a private school is bad. What I am saying is that as a young person, don't stay too long on the job. Lest you waste your life.
Dem say 'dey do am till better job come, dey do am till better job come, na so Brother Okrimona take turn 58 years for inside teaching job. Would you do differently if you were a private school owner? Let's turn the table around. Hope you no go vex. A no own a private school, please. |

Career › Re: What Valuable Online Skill Can A 23 Year Old Learn Now? by Godmind2022(m): 1:46pm On Aug 27, 2023 |
Brokeness: Good day nairalanders. I believe this is a great forum with lots of intelligent folks.. and that is why I have come to seek your counsel. Even though I haven't met anyone here but nairaland is like my online family
I think these are some key facts to note before you dish your advice (s). Here we go;
-I am a 23 years old male. -I am the only son and eldest in a family of 2 and my dad is late. -I am in 100 level (sponsored by my mum's relations) doing a 4 years course but sorry to say this, I don't rate school at all.. just there for the certificate (even though the course is highly rated) -I am a pump attendant on a 25k salary (night work 7PM to 6AM) with one night off in a week. -I have a nice USA used HP laptop that is laying idle in my room and my strong Tecno camon which can be used to learn some valuable skills. -Lastly, I have the zeal to learn an online skill that can be very profitable in 3 to 6 months time and would stand the test of time in a long time to come; but I don't know which, how or where to start from. I seriously need to add another source of income (online) as this my current work is exhausting coupled with my schooling. No rest at all.
Pls my elders in the house, I sincerely need your advice at this critical point in my life. I don't want to make a grave mistake of not learning an online skill and be left out in the digital word. I don't want to continue forever in paid employment. It's no fun. I want to help myself and my family. I don't want to explain tire..
Kindly feel free to ask me whatever you may need to know. I will be reading from the comments. Thanks. Please, don't get it twisted, the word "brokenness" doesn't mean being broke, but it is a positive word that means being gentle, godly, meek, humble, gracious etc. So, don't give the word a negative meaning. |

Family › Re: My Husband Is Not The Same Man I Married. by Godmind2022(m): 4:56pm On Aug 14, 2023 |
Jewessgratitud3: *From a concerned lady*👇‼️
My husband is not the same man I fell in love with.
My husband changed totally after wedding day, in fact, it started on the wedding night and its giving me a lot of concern.
It's not that he is not talking to me or we are fighting, but he is not the cheerful happy person anymore.
After months of trying to get what the problem is, he finally opened up to me and I don't know what my fault is, I think he is overreacting.
My husband works in an insurance company and he is just a junior staff, he earns 150k per month, so he is not doing that bad.
When we wanted to get married, my dad wrote the wedding list and everything he would bring, when he saw them, he fumed that they were too much and they should reduce it but my dad insisted that he won't collect it twice, I also told him if he really loves me, he would provide them, he could get help from his family too, it is called bride price and other things, and it is once.
We had little issue then but he later resolved it.
He brought everything they asked for.
During the wedding, my parents told him to buy a cow, rent a hall and decorate it then they'll take care of other things. He said he didn't have money for a big hall and he would prefer a field ground but my dad insisted that rain could disrupt things and he has many people coming.
That almost cause issues too, I had to support him with 50k to get the hall because I know who my dad is, he won't back out.
I didn't know how he did it, he took the hall and designed it, he bought cow too.
His family brought food and everything went fine and that was it.
I don't know what was keeping him moody until he spoke up.
He said I couldn't fight for him, I was there supporting my parents and watch them extorting him, did I even know he had to collect loan to pay for those things?
I got angry because he used the word 'extorting'.
He was the one that wanted to have my hand in marriage and if he cherish me, he should do all they wanted since he is not paying twice.
After I said this, he stopped talking in the house, he comes home, eat and go to bed.
I tried talking to him but he would listen but not talk, he is cold to himself and prefer his privacy.
Have I said something wrong?
I don't like whats happening. My marriage is too young to be going through all these.
I am tired, I don't know what to do.
Advise this lady Soft words turn away anger. Let your words always be with grace, seasoned with salt that you may be able to answer all men. Please, apologize to your husband. Have soft words. Love him, support him without condition. Ask him to forgive you on your knees. Invite God into lives and home and you will be fine |

Christianity Etc › Re: Does Being Born Again Mean I Am Free From Sin And Immunized Against Sinning? by Godmind2022(m): 4:23pm On Aug 13, 2023 |
litigator: This is one area of our Biblical journey we often shy away from talking about.
I am certain I am not alone in this regard.
How does it feel if at 9. am on a Sunday morning, I come out for an altar call after a powerful heart-shattering and guilt-provoking sermon, give my life to Christ; I am prayed for and declare born again, but I unconsciously commit a sin on my way back home?
And with that guilt, I go back to sin full time like it was before the alter call?
I guess I am not alone in this regard. I have attended church services countless times and listened to sermons and teachings that I can't recollect, and at the end of such endeavour, I obey the alter call one minute, and the next minute, I am back to fornicating. This is one thing that has kept a lot of people out of this spiritual journey.
Even Pastors are not immune to sin, as some have found themselves committing sin at one point or the other. I guess Apostle Paul suffered same in the Bible. And this brings me to my question.
Does being again make you immune to sin, and is it a vaccine against sinning?
Is it that if I sin, it will no longer count against me because I have Grace?
Or is it a merry-go-round of sinning and asking for forgiveness shortly afterwards until we get better at not sinning anymore?
And if the latter is the case, why do churches hate and guilt-shame members when they sin but defend pastors when they do the same? Please, WhatsApp me on 08088414431 if you are a sincere seeker |
