The worst addition to break depends on the individual. The one that is difficult for me is overeating, and not just junk, because I don't eat junk foods. I'm talking of regular cooked food. Cooked food can be very addictive whether junk or not.

We’re hearing all sorts of gimmicks now, aren’t we?

“The louder your Amen, the bigger your blessing!”
“Tell three people your breakthrough has just landed!”
“Shout hallelujah like you mean business!”
“Give God a dangerous praise for a dangerous miracle!”

All noise. All theatrics. All emotional sugar rush — no substance. Jesus never said, “Turn up the volume and I’ll turn up the blessing.” But He did say, “If anyone wants to follow Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me” (Luke 9:23). That’s discipleship. No razzmatazz. No gimmicks. Just surrender.

But surrender is not exciting. Motivation is.

We’ve become a generation that loves being hyped but hates being changed. People want sermons that give them confidence, not convictions. They want steps to success, not calls to holiness. Many preachers know this — and they deliver what sells, not what saves.

That’s why we now hear more, “You’re going higher!” than “Repent and follow Christ.”
More, “Your destiny helpers are coming!” than “Be conformed to the image of His Son” (Romans 8:29).
More, “Your haters will watch you shine!” than “I am crucified with Christ” (Galatians 2:20).

It’s smooth. It’s exciting. It’s popular.
But it’s not the gospel.

The gospel is not about how to “unlock your greatness.”
It’s about how Jesus died, rose again, and calls us to die to ourselves and live through Him. (Ephesians 2:1–5).

Motivation can make you feel good for a week.
The gospel can make you a new creation altogether.

Motivation tells you to believe in yourself.
The gospel tells you to believe in Jesus.

Motivation tells you you’re destined to shine.
The gospel tells you to take up your cross.

We’ve swapped the hard message for the easy one — and the easy one is filling churches while emptying hearts.

The danger? People think they’re being spiritually fed when in reality they’re only being emotionally entertained. They leave church charged up but not changed. Excited but not transformed. Inspired but not discipled.

And let’s be blunt: Jesus didn’t die so we could have a more positive mindset. He died to save us, sanctify us, and shape us into His likeness.

It’s time we found our way back.

Back to Christ.
Back to the cross.
Back to repentance.
Back to surrender.
Back to discipleship.
Back to the gospel that actually has power (Romans 1:16).

Because all the shouting, all the “Amen competitions,” all the theatrics — they may stir emotions…
but only Jesus can save a soul.

Criticise them by preaching the right way. Let's be and do the good we want to see in the society.

Investing depends on who you are and what you love to do with your time.

Nigerian government is importing food items being subsidized by the leaders of the countries they are importing from while the production costs of the Nigerian farmers are skyrocketing without any program from Nigerian government to reduce agricultural input costs in their own country. A government that cares for local production and that cares for her farmers' welfare will not go that route.

My mum died not long ago, and my dad has a hand in her demise because her marriage was a turbulent one and she died of HBP, now shortly after she died, my dad came along with one woman who is very bold and shameless, first off she already has children from another fling not marriage, and now she comes and sleeps over, infact she's not discreet about it she's bold, brazen and doesn't feel ashamed of what she's doing.

Let her know what you like and what you don't like. But you should be ready to accept her as your father's present wife because I don't think there's anything you can do about that. Your father cannot remain single since your mother is not alive again. But let the woman know your likes and dislikes about her. Seek for ways to live amicably with her. Your right and the right of the woman can be protected in a way that nobody will be cheated. Don't hold grudges with the woman. Don't create enmity with the woman. I wish you the best.

Let us not be quick to blame them there is much poverty in the land. It takes a lot of courage to beg. People should not be ashamed to beg if that is an alternative to stealing or to do something more horrible than that.
On the flip side, it is not bad to give tips to those people you have mentioned. Tips are common everywhere in the world but it is just that I doubt if those in the advanced countries, (where getting daily meal is not a problem) ask for tips before they are given.

My dad is currently in a miserable state. One of his legs is swollen. He is having issues urinating properly. A man who once looked sturdy and active, now looks lean and feeble.

In earlier years, he was known for constant womanising and drinking. He was always in debt from gambling too (fled past location).

Health complications have meant that he now spends anything he solicits on drug.

Here I am, a boy of 33, doing worse atrocities than him. I feel I am young now and I can fight off any challenge, unknowingly I am complicating issues for myself. I long to stop but hard.

I started a 33 days abstinence plan which I have failed to keep. I squandered around 70k yesterday in a brothel after getting an alert of six digits.

My addictions are: std and loperamide drugs regular intake (one to fight std and the other to fight regular stooling), up to 3 carbonated drinks daily, betting, womanising, borrowing when unable to pay, junk food and masturbation.

God help us
