Been gay is a crime against humanity... I'm just knowing from your comment that he has since confessed about his deadly preference. |

voltron: You are definitely not a programmer looking at your method to reasoning. I did not say Shi.t about Nigerian made software. I have used some that run payroll payments on an enterprise scale. What I was referring to is the culture of birthing IT hubs, encouraging IT curriculum upgrade from primary school level and IT folks thinking like business professionals and entrepreneurs rather than hustlers. Is it not in this same Nigeria a minister tried to sell the .ng domain extension and registrar rights to a foreigner for $4,000. If at that level this kind of dull reasoning is happening, what do you Think will happen at the lower ranks? First question is why would Nigeria want to sell .ng to a foreigner You said "IT folks thinking like business professionals and entrepreneurs rather than hustlers" Second question... How do business professionals and entrepreneurs think |

Billyonaire: You are one of a kind, always believing everything Nigerian must be lower quality than what is sold abroad. And another problem with your reasoning methodology is; Any time you hear the word abroad, your mind goes to America, Europe and Canada. Does it occur to you that Nigerians can export softwares to Ghana, Togo, Benin, all other African countries, Asia and Oceania ?
Please endeavor to overhaul your thought process, its negatively infectious. No offense, just helping you think right. Most Nigerian payment gateways can only receive payments from other Nigerians not Africans.. Most popular e-commerce sites where selling is done are U.S websites... which is also where Ghana, Togo, Benin, all other African countries, Asia and middle east countries do their buying |

Billyonaire: Yea, but people are doing online transactions daily. Almost all our products are imported, so most businesses interact with their partners and manufacturers online. 419 reputation cant stop a determined Nigerian from convincing foreigners that he/she is for real. Kill your fears and doubts with a sledge hammer my friend. I mean sell not buy... Which foreigner wouldn't want to sell his products Its easy for Nigerians to sell to Nigerians... But selling globally is challenging... |

Billyonaire: The IT field is not a local niche. You can practically sell a great e-solution or product in the global market square. Work local, but think global. Thanks. Its very hard for Nigerians to sell globally online... Nigeria's internet reputation is very bad... its hard for people to do online transactions with Nigerians... |

Hasino2258: is not all about having skilled programmers we need skilled programmers with innovation and Ideals. Been a skilled programmer takes years of training.. All programmers are innovators... If you know what it takes to create, build, reason and analyse like an average programmer you won't make such comments.. Its like combining maths, english and science at the same time... Just to create a software.. That in the end our fellow NIGERIANS like kastonkastrol and voltron would say s:hit about Nigerian-made software... |
Programming › Re: Software Developers Could Save Nigeria After Oil - Mark Essien by GodMode: 8:38am On Mar 21, 2015 |
kastonkastrol: our database construction Is poor. Compiler construction is nothing to write home about and so many other problems. Investing in software developing is a waste of money because Nigeria can't stand the competition in that aspect. Lol even our operation system contruction is bad. voltron: Until software developers can grow out of their geek culture and learn to be innovators and entrepreneurs, there is no hope competing against foreign competition.
All those good points mean little if all out IT culture is not organized on a global standard. Discouragers be like ^^^^^ |

justiceman: We can invest more on this sector and train these guys. It takes about 1 Year to fully train an IT professional from novice to professional, then Let him develop and perfect with experience, and it is something Nigeria can do. An IT professional is not a professional techgineer Nigeria needs skilled programmers not IT professionals.. |

revolt: ok so our forefathers were so ingenious bt in all their ingenuity none of their legacies could survive the european onslaught. Even their historical writings, architecture etc.. The germans greeks, chinese , japs, indians etc at some point went thru slavery and conquest.. But we can see today they create .. The blackman could not even arm his armies with home made matchetes.. Uniformly smelted.
Truth is our supposed great kingdoms were mud huts, nt more than a storey high. The egyptian crafts we claim are nt even negroid. I rmba during the biafra war , for the 1st tyme in history a negroid group was creating its weapons on a semi mass scale..what happened? Petty bigotry and envy drove the fg to cover up these creations and dismantle all teams involved. You see the values and attitudes the typical negro exhibits?... Now were nt creating anything. I guess u can blame tht on the whites too.
Even if u take all of lagos population and transfer to newyork thts already built, and do vice versa.. Tht newyork will become like lagos in 10yrs and guess what? This lagos will suddenly change to newyork with a thriving white population. Don't get me wrong, we've got really intelligent folks but trust me, bulk of negroes are savage beasts. 95percent more or less. Its shockn, I've even become racist towards my ppl after seeing how other races behave.. Even in domestic circles. One of the leaders once said "america will know".... What does that statement tell you |

But d fact is dat every continent, country and race have their own problems, bt they've sat down and thought about d solutions to their problems. D reason why Africa hasn't moved on as a continent is wit d kind of leaders we choose to lead us, leaders wit their *grab n carry* mentality, leaders dat are nt innovative, leaders who don't even have d interest of their fellow countrymen in mind nt to talk of d continent in general. Believe me if we can have a change of leaders across the lenght and breadth of Africa, in less dan a decade we'll start seeing positive changes around d continent. Angelou: one of the most efficient tactics the europeans employed in subjugating africa was the introduction of christianity..... making us to dispose our gods which had been our source of inspiration as demons. "put down your weapons and embrace the religion of peace" but the brits never dropped theirs You mean religion not christianity... Africans were atheists who believed in themselves. |
