Crime › Re: Two Lesbians Caught In Anambra, Risk Being Jailed For 14 Years by GodMode: 10:41am On Dec 12, 2014 |
lalasticlala: The police in Ogidi Anambra state have arrested two young ladies identified as Chioma from Umudioka in Dunukofia council area, of the state and one Amaka for allegedly engaging in lesbianism.
The suspects, according to a police source, were caught while indulging in the unholy act in a beer parlour belonging to one of them.
Reliably gathered that members of the homosexuality and lesbianism family in the state have started mobilising lawyers to make sure that the two ladies and their other members currently in police net are not sent to jail.
It was further gathered that the lesbianism family are now mobilising funds from their members in other parts of the state ahead of their legal expenses. Our correspondent learnt that the Ogidi Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Isah Mohammed has vowed to make sure that the suspects are jailed so as to serve as a deterrent to others.
It would be recalled that President Goodluck Jonathan recently signed into law a bill prohibiting gay and lesbianism.
One of the suspects who was interviewed, confessed to the crime, saying it was the handiwork of the devil. She said
“Please, one of my sisters is staying in her shop at Ochanga Market in Onitsha, and I don’t have her phone number off head. Please help me beg the police to allow me call her. I will never live in such dirty life again” She pleaded.
When contacted, Divisional Police Officer, DPO Mr. Isah Mohammed confirmed the story insisting that the matter must go to court.Mohammed however, advised any interested persons to go and wait for the police in the Court, adding that it is where they “can seek for the bail of the accused dirty ladies for their alleged actions.”
According to the Nigeria’s anti-gay law, the suspects risk 14 years jail term each if convicted.
http://www.informationng.com/2014/12/two-lesbians-sentenced-to-14-years-in-prison-according-to-nigerian-anti-gay-law.html Why is she begging for a phone call She is entitled to a phone call and a lawyer.. Its her right. |

asalimpo: This is an old idea. S3en is being a Big hypocrite or just not thinking originally (facebook invented d like button ,s3un simply copied d concept) by failing to make this forum more real-life like. In real like dont ppl dislike or disagree on issues, dont they voice it. As people grew used to d like button so will they to d dislike button. S3un could test the concept for a year before deciding whether to make it permanent or not. Hmmm |

Cybermugu1: But Niger delta militants weren't killing innocent civilians in the south, infact they fought for justice.
Why dem go carry our oil land give oyibo man They killed peeps... Destroying oil pipes leads to scarcity which leads to increase in prices which leads to inflation which leads to peeps been unable to pay for their basic needs which leads to sickness/death. |

Kennyinusa: Though i barely read through everybody's post, i must confess that i get he point.
But this is what i think
1. Money makes stuffs fly. I was opportune to meet one of the founding programmer of MXIT and he explained how crucial money was in the success of the No 1. chatting application in South Africa.
And i would like to believe that we all know the story of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat etc. and how venture capitalist money was crucial to their success.
2. You can't do it all alone Going with one of the words of my favorite african venture capitalist in person of Kresten Buch, he believe that you need a Team, and not just a any team, "A DREAM TEAM". And what makes a great team is not just what you can do now, it's commitment, passion, love and enthusiasm for whatever it is that they do.
MORE COMING. Not true... Money is only needed when u want to own and host your own servers. Upcoming codepreneurs only need money for hosting on a hosting network.. How many venture capitalists have sponsored L.I.B and NL Unless they're keeping it secret |

If the phone is stolen then the app is stolen also. Even with your suggestion the thief will still have access. App security is another issue entirely. |

nollyj: There is alway an exception but I am talking in general
Making one game that is successful is not really a business in mobile app development. As time goes on, the app will lose its ranking in the store and the download rate will reduce couple with profit hugely.
Big mobile app and game companies retain/maintain their position through aggressive advertising and buying downloads which indie developers can't afford to compete with.
My point is consistence in innovation and success with many apps and games not just being lucky with one app. This is where big companies matter - money, expertise, experience.
If you know app store business very well you will know that even crappy apps can rank high and become popular
The westerners we talk about, when they see something that is not work perfectly they will find a way to improve it but in Nigeria it is about talking and finding fault without solution. Talk is cheap
I am expecting someone to say I built this app or game because it is better than what is in existence in Nigeria That's your opinion But how will an app be successful and the coder will allow it to lose its rankings |

Indirectly he's showing how poor this ppl are and they like seriously need money, there are way lots of things he can offer to his fan apart frm spraying money, lyk to say every fan of him can come to see him perform on stage for free, or some other things wid a tag of "WIZKID-Thanks for being my fan" or something like that, He can also give out the money to the less previlaged or other organizations that are responsible for taking care of orphans, widows and what have you, in Nigeria, now we need a lot of this. Mtchw, that's why am hating wizkid this days, he really is a "KID" you still a broke nigga! Try again Your opinion does not matter |

nollyj: It is very easy for people to compare different things without proper analysis.
1. Most people that come here and advertise or publish their apps in Nairaland are mostly indie app and game developers (mostly one and two developers working on an idea)
2. If you are familiar with Google Play you will understand that most popular apps and games are developed by well established companies abroad
Ask yourself why are their software products good and popular in Google Play
1. Some companies have more than 10 developers and designers work on a projects.
2. Most of these companies employ senior and expert app and game developers
3. Most of these companies are back by Venture Capitalist with millions of dollars to spend
4. In Google Play, these companies buy downloads through aggressive advertising that runs in millions of dollars
For Fair comparison
Ecommerce websites in Nigeria like Konga, Jumia and others that have huge financial muscle, are they not doing well?
Until when we have many mobile app and game companies with experience developers and money then I can say it is a fair comparison. If not base your comparison on indie developers. Not true... But that's your opinion... The internet has given people d ability to compete with the big dogs.. practically, putting everyone on the same level. If a coder has $25 - $50 and an addictive app . .. Then just $25 can change that coders' financial status.. |

BornSad: Compete with APPLE in terms of what? Is Apple a programming language vendor or you're bringing OS into programming language discussion just to discredit MS when other means have failed?
All because of Android? So Java is great all because of Android? Hehe... guy... Nawa o.
Bro, see how others are making point and you're tying Java's fate to Android. So if Android looses market share to BB and windows, Java becomes doomed? You're trying to hype Java yet Java is bigger than what you're using to hype it.
Anyway, to give you the benefit audience, Android is also programmed in C#. It's even easier with it sef, lol. So does that mean Java is done for since, according to you, that's what gives an edge over C#?
Are you also aware that Apple OS apps can now be written in C# too?
Oga mi, where are you? In France? Java has contributed more things than C#. People that were part of the creation of java were years later hired to create c#. Android programming is mostly done in c++ or java cos those are the languages that created android. There are hundreds of millions of gadgets that are powered by android which makes it very difficult for java to become obsolete. |

BornSad: And so what if they coding on stones before?
Guy, it is only about choice if the two IDE's in question are for the same language. Otherwise, it's not a matter of choice cause a VS user can't just decide to use Netbeans.
And who told you it's silly to compare IDEs anyway? No comparison is silly in science and technology. It only serves to enlighten peeps the more. Wait till you're given an assignment in school that say : Technically compare MS VS and Netbeans with not less than three points. You will tell the lecturer that it is silly, abi? You that will run back to this thread looking for expo.
Anyway, point is; it's a tech discussion forum and such comparison is healthy and professional.
For the record, we still use NotePad very well just that it's now with a double plus sign (NotePad++ ) Comparing ide's/languages is silly. . School was many years ago. |
