amigas: AndroidJava, C, C++.... But it depends on what you want to create cos some people can create android apps with html/css, javascript for the web. |
forgive me for commenting like this... but Nigerians are dull(except me and some people).... the same govt that hid the ex-president Yar'dua death is the one they are believing. no one knows who or what the nurse looks like... no one knows if the nurse is still alive. in the next one month or 1 week when people start slumping and dying on the streets that's when Nigerians will realize how bad ebola is.. |
riz1: what's wrong in my post?specify what platform you want to develop for ![]() |

dabrake: You are very funny. Is there any discipline where you are being taught everything? As far as I am concerned, what we learn in schools are requirements/basics/foundations. The rest is left for us to explore, learn, relearn, unlearn and develop. The reason why we are called students is not to go to class, read for exams and pass but to explore beyond the classrooms. Have you heard of SIWES before? Why do you think SIWES was created? Why do people in other disciplines cover professional courses like CIBN, ICAN, PMP, etc? Why weren't they taught in schools? In foreign schools, a Bsc Accounting degree is equivalent to ACCA that's why when they graduate the colleges also give them ACCA certification but naija Bsc is Bsc. My point is... The things you listed are meant to be part of the syllabus in naija colleges. But after spending 4 yrs in Uni. Naija graduates go still dey read for professional exams. That's RUBBISH. |
chibwike: dont you think learning up to 15 programs would be kinda stressful...i prefer focusing on one program and becoming perfect in it.That's the basic for studying comp. Sci... This days you can't focus on one. The average web developer knows html, css, javascript, php, ajax and some frameworks. Of the ones I listed above php and js are what I consider programming languages. But its up to the programmer to choose. But the creator of C++ once said "do not consider yourself a professional if you don't know at least 5 programming languages". |
chibwike: lol...you know that coding is not quite easy.In foreign universities(even in some African countries), programming is a major part of the syllabus... An average comp. Sci student/graduate learns or is taught at least 15 different programming languages. Some of them even have knowledge of some programming languages b4 gaining admission. But in naija,.. Dem no sabi anything even after graduating... |
Most comp. Sci graduates from Nigerian universities don't know how to code... They deceive themselves by saying "I like networking". ![]() |
dhtml18: @micodon, know your head and repeat after me - I, micodon don dey madt. |
First question Are u loading your file from your wamp folder ![]() 2nd question How do you load your file to your browser ![]() 3rd question (unnecessary question) What editor are u using ![]() Answer to question 1 and 2 When you open your browser.. type "Localhost" and press enter. If you created a folder(e.g. test )in the "www" it should show under "your projects" in localhost.. Or If you just stored the file in the "www" as blabla.php without saving it in a folder. Go to your browser and type localhost/blabla.php and press enter. |
C++ is the fastest... Its only problem is bulky codes... |
![]() If u want to learn how to program then learn how to program stop coming to NairaLand to rant. Back to the topic: Your post is not constructive enough. In this age, there are two paths to choose from. 1)Mobile 2)Desktop You can choose both. But since u didn't explain what u want... I'm like |
What rubbish are the people above me commenting ![]() Web designing involves programming on less u're using dreamweaver without coding... Those you commenting rubbish should go and create your own CSS framework... RUBBISH CSS coding na die... Thankfully there are editors with live preview. Just my opinion. |
Princeerafe: Princeerafe i know you are either the guy or you are just another foolish scammer |

Difference btw apc e-rats and pdp e-rats on NL is apc e-rats will snap pics of 80% completion of the project like the ebola isolation pics and rivers state rail pics. But Pdp e-rats will either snap trucks and construction equipments branding it as "on going project" in so so place or just write long article with phrases like "will be"; "hope to"; "soon to be"; "promise to"; "propose." |
nicflame: Seaport should be built to landlocked states like kaduna, kano, osun, ekiti abi... Smh for youIs lagos the only state by the atlantic. Smh for you and your generations. |
They should build seaports in other states abi na only lagos dey Nigeria... The lagos seaport alone has made lagos congested and people are moving their businesses to lagos to minimise costs and avoid destruction of products through accidents. |
ogtavia: Guess you wanted to quote GodMode....and there is no in between good and evil, you can't be a little good and a little evil,or more good and less evil or vice-versa...just to clear things up.That's my other moniker I got banned. You're contradicting yourself.... |
donkilidon: Am sure dis accident culd hav been avoided - bt God knows bestall accidents are avoidable.... |
ogtavia: God is a God of all-knowledge....there is no god.... the Creator of earth created good and evil.... it is left for humans to choose their path. |
poiZon: they do, just that we hv insincere n bad products in naija.nope... they don't..... cos if they were working.... there would be lots of high speed chases and ticketing... but there is no ticketing in Nigeria... |
poiZon: my bro it isnt abt the govt but d governed. na ghost dey break traffic laws? ofcourse no. who dey pay bribe to police n road wardens? na we now. no be ghost. who drinks n still jump on to drive? na we. so we need to first work on ourselves then the work of d govt officials will be easy.the govt is responsible, cos if they did their jobs the police would stop vehicles on high speed.... |
ysd01: i started php nt long ago, went far with a web application project. one day i was goin through an article online. i saw a serious criticism on the three APIs ie MySQL, MySQLi & PDO. where pdo was given priority. is there any problem if i continued with mysql? thank u.php mysql extension is deprecated.... it is better to learn mysqli and pdo,, cos they are more recent. edited because micodon is creating unnecessary argument below ![]() |
Nobleval: The heart of men is full of evil, don't blame liberia.... blame your government for not providing screening and isolation facilities in its airports... |
ghananotnaija: Ye of little faith. No wonder Biafra was brutalised by Nigeria, and your people are resorting to 419, drugs, kidnapping, and ashawo around the world.foolish comment.... they know how stupidly religious Africans are and they also know that Africans will stupidly say it is an act of God.... there is no God. |
obayaya: Community shield is a glorified friendlythey are playing uefa champions league qualifiers on tuesday that's why he made the subs..... it's not more than a friendly... |
