Women in this country are suffering sha. I don't know how courts split assets in the case of a divorce in this country but in a reasonable country the court will decide who gets what, then we'll see if she will be the one that will return you back to your parent's house

Well I guess we would have to agree to disagree. I know lots of women in my circle that have traded a story or two on how hard it is for some men to just accept no. I have literally been in situations where I have had to explain for over an hour why I don’t want to give out my number. You might say it’s childish but sometimes you just don’t have time for stress and you can’t be too dismissive because then you will be accused of being rude. You have to say no with a nice disposition which will then be misconstrued as your “no” not really meaning No.

P.S. and oh yes! It’s so much better to ignore than block.

If you have never really experienced how stressful it can be then I don’t think you would truly understand.

I absolutely agree with you, it’s not an ideal situation and no one comes out the winner, man or woman.

However that doesn’t invalidate the reasons why some women genuinely feel it’s safer and less of a hassle for them to just give out the number and block. Some women have actually being physically harassed. Not all women are courageous or strong enough to stand by their NO. So what made me really upset at that woman is her insinuating that women that give out their numbers are lying/pretending that deep down they really want to give out their numbers. Just because you are lucky enough not to meet such men or you are strong enough to stand by your NO doesn’t mean that’s the reality for most Nigerian women.

The proof is on this thread, all women here said same thing only HER. What does that tell you?
