The children are already used to this way of life. It will be much more difficult to cut out bad traits one get from his/her parents because the parents are the first teachers and children are inclined to trust the parents 100%.

I was born into a christian family but was lucky my parents kicked the bucket while I was very young. This made me reform my mind at an early age.

Sorry to say but simply bcuz CHRISTIANITY has failed you doesn't mean it has failed everyone else...so just as you are trying to encourage those trying to leave religion which I personally understand, those Christian alerts you are complaining about are also encouraging those who are trying to stay.
Secondly, sorry to hear that your pastors only preached fear to you. But if I were you, before leaving, I would have taken my time to study the NEW TESTAMENT part of the bible. That's where the name CHRISTIANITY was coined. So perhaps your pastors are ancient who love to dwell on messages of the LAW which only stirred and brought fear, condemnation and death to people.
