Just like what others have said I will also strongly advise you to call it off because that guy is not man enough to overlook your past. He will never change. Its obvious in his attitude he will keep refering to that ugly past. Give him a break.its better now than to discover later when it will become too late to opt out. Who does not have his or her own past? Is anyone a saint? Tell him to his face the reason why you are quiting the relationship so that he will learn how to adjust and control his emotion in case he comes across another lady to marry or else the same development will keep repeating in his life. He should grow up and learn to be a real man. |

Some disasters are avoidable while some are not. May be a token 'gift' of #200 is what's required to just save his life. Its so unfortunate.RIP. |

matrixme: I'm sorry to say. Why are Igbo people too full of daredevil boldness? it's not always wise to dare the devil every time. While crossing the border this morning at Seme with my laptop, a policeman stopped me and requested for the receipt which I presented. I still had to 'bail' myself with some little cash. There are some things that doggedness won't stop. We all have our rights, but we needless prove it before trigger happy policemen. Just a few minutes delay would have prevented us from saying sorry tonight. |

I love this lady. She is so good in her roles. I became a fan of her when I watched the Nollywood movie titled "Not with my daughter". But above all, turning to God and making herself available for the work of God is exemplary. One of the best products that has ever come out of Nollywood. I hope the Father will have a rethink now and beg for forgiveness for his attitude towards his female children. |

Politics › Re: Something Strange Is Happening In The Southwest - Azuka Onwuka by Godwin616: 9:58pm On Jul 19, 2016 |
"The Yoruba are not known to keep quiet in the face of injustice or aberration. I don’t know what has happened in the Southwest. If anybody knows, please let him enlighten me." As the OP rightly observed, Yorubas are known for speaking out when necessary. They have been speaking out since the military regime and has not changed. Its the obvious fact that Yorubas are the moouthpiece of the massess againt any form of injustice and misrule, be it military or civilian. Am sure they will still speak out at the appropriate time. Perharps they want to give PMB and APC a benefit of doubt. Even though they know that political appointments is skewed towards the north yet they won't consider it enough reason to make noise. Its too early to wail. We all know the economy is not smiling at the momemt. And we are all feeling it Ibo/Yoruba/hausa. If we don't get positive change in few months time, you will see Yoruba coming out in large no voicing out. Some have been talking while majority others believe we should still give APC some more time. We are still watching to see where the pendulum of change will swing. That's why Jagaban too is silent and watching. That is a key attribute of a Yoruba man, they think a lot before taking an action. |

layinde: this is why our police re not reliable first and foremost whats the cause of death before u jump into conclusion that the lover or the guy killed her? u just dont put a crime on someone like that....fine he fled which was soo wrong but on the other hand would they belief he wasnt the one who killed her if he had call the hotel managements attention? or the police he will still be accussed rather than been a suspect..so the best thing is to find the cause of the death first ..........our police system is just so bleeped up honestly not surprise after all only few of them did there O level ...........seriously is just so sad You spoke my ming bro. Its possible he wasn't the one that killed her. It could be coincidental. The timing was too short if it was premeditated. I guessed he too was shocked and he just had to take to his heels to safe his head. Until full post mortem test is carried out before we can actually know the cause of her death. Its quite unfortunate. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Most RCCG Regional Pastors Are Yorubas. In Christendom Is This Right? by Godwin616: 9:17pm On Jul 14, 2016 |
The answers to the OP question is rightly addressed by the post below gbengadada2004: The reason is basically because the foundation members are mostly yoruba by tribe. All the names you see in that website are names of people that have been members of the church when the church was unpopular and only have few members. Just the same way we should not expect to see many yorubas occupying top positions in churches founded by Pastor Oritsajafor, Pastor Mike Okonko, Pastor Ntia Ntia etc. Not because they are tribalistic but rather because the foundation members are mostly people from other tribes and not the yorubas. And it is those foundation members that will rise to occupy many of the top posts as the church growths. |
Politics › Re: Era Of Free, Easy Money Is Gone For Good – Buhari by Godwin616: 1:57pm On Jul 14, 2016 |
blueto: But it has been about 13+ months since you have been elected president and why should you keep blaming the past govt for your present and foreseen failures?
The past govt was already diversifying the economy when the gullible zombies voted you in and you came and obliterated the good efforts by the previous govt.
through the comprehensive Agricultural Transformation Agenda program of the previous govt, they recorded many landmark achievements. Through agriculture they created thousands of jobs across the country. The provision of inputs in 10 Northern states enabled dry season farming; and profitably engaged over 250,000 farmers and youths even during the dry season.
Through the comprehensive Agricultural Transformation Agenda program, inflation fell to 7.8% in October 2013, its lowest since 2008, as a result of higher domestic food production.
they launched the Growth Enhancement Scheme to provide targeted support for seeds and fertilizers to 5 million farmersper year or 20 million farmers within fouryears. Through the scheme, they were providing subsidized inputs to farmers via an e-Wallet program. In fiscal year 2013, an estimated 4.2 million farmers received subsidized inputs. As a result, in 2013, they produced 1.1 million metric tonnes of dry season rice across 10 Northern states; and over 250,000 farmers and youths in these states are now profitably engaged in farming even during the dry season.
they launched Staple Crop Processing Zones to support investments in the entire agricultural value chain. there are significant private investment commitments from agribusiness ventures such as: Flour Mills of Nigeria, the Dangote Group, Syngenta, Indorama, AGCO, and Belstar Capital.
In 2012, 2.2 million metric tonnes of cassava chips were exported, exceedingthe Agricultural Transformation Agenda’s target by over 100%, while the 40% substitution of cassava for wheat has been achieved through research and collaboration with the IITA and Federal Institute for Industrial Research.Similarly, there has been a decline in wheat imports to Nigeria from an all-time high of 4,051,000 MT in 2010 to 3,700,000 MT in 2012.
About 200 women in Benue State were trained on how to make compost for farming and 360 farmers in the same state, were trained on climate change adaptability in agriculture. The environment and farming in Benue state got a boost from about 600 men and women in Benue state who participated in training on how to be environmentally better farmers.
they established community woodlots of 10 hectares each in Plateau and Kogi (10ha) states. they restored 10 hectares of degraded forest in Achareni Forest Reserves in Kogi state and rehabilitated 10 hectares degraded forest reserves in Niger state. the administration also launched Presidential Initiative on Coastal and River Bank protection on flood in Asa River (Kwara State). they established two skill acquisition centresto train people on the fabrication of solar -powered grinding machines in Kaiama and Baruten in Kwara State. and so on!
What policies has Buhari projected to diversify the economy? he is rather depriving private stakeholders of economic policy-making participation and turning Nigeria into a Socialist economy instead of a Mixed economy. Are we in a communist state?. In as much as one cannot dispute the fact that some positive achivements were made in Agric sector under GEJ administration, its quite unfortunate and sad that the magnitude of corruption that characterised GEJ administration has completely overshadowed the few positive achivements recorded. And the way things are going,PMB may use the whole tenure fighting corruption.I just pray the economic situation improves soonest or else there will be upsurge in crime cases across the country. |

bloodyBLOGGER: Is GEJ an igbo man? Why take panadol for an ijaw man's headache? And who put GEJ there in the first place? Was it not OBJ- a yoruba man? Has GEJ ever dreamed in his life he could get to that place? The SW voted massively for GEJ in 2011 but he "fall our hands" big time. One thing with SW region is that they don't play ethnic or religion bigotry.if you are good you will enjoy their support but if you choose the other way round, you are on your own. If APC/PMB also "fall our hand" I trust my people, we will vote them out sharperly sharperly come 2019. |

wellmax: To all of you crying witch hunt, why only PDP or whatever, know this; this investigation is just for ONE case of corruption. I mean the current travail of corrupt cases is just an inquiry into the misused funds meant for fighting insurgency. GEJ got permission to borrow $1B under the guise of fighting corruption ( http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/168645-jonathan-gets-approval-to-borrow-1billion-to-fight-boko-haram.html ). The fund was suddenly diverted to fund the PDP campaign, shared by Dasuki as coordinated by GEJ. Tell me how many non - PDP where called to the sharing? This isn't about who was called or not, but about some people who took our money, under pretense of fighting insurgency, allowed soldiers to die unnecessarily while enriching their cronies. This is a fight that must be supported by one and all.
When we are done with this, we can look at other corruption cases. No matter the amount of explanation you try to put forward, some people have already made up their mind to be a perpetual wailers. |
