African football is a different ball game entirely. There are a lot of behind the scene in African football. I will give an example, in the 70s , during my secondary school days, any time we were playing another secondary school, we used to undergo several rituals in other for us to win a match. All the rituals looked very bizarre indeed. We used to defeat some of these teams with one kind funny goals. We were not the best team but we would win . There were a lot of cups we won for our school which we were not suppose to win . See Osimen short that hit the goal post below that was supposed to bounce on the net , doesn't look ordinary. Under normal circumstances , it was supposed to bounce back to the net . Watch highlights of Sudan Congo match ,the same as Osimen short but entered the net.Even , we have babaalawo that used to follow us to all our matches. The school authorities used to pay this man.
