afrodoc2: You can't be so sure about that. Fury is the better boxer and has the reach advantage so he will be able to dictate pace and distance better, thereby scoring points while protecting himself as much as possible. You however seem to underestimate the significance of single punch knock out power in the heavyweight division. As a heavyweight 2 crucial things that can't be taught but are very important are having a strong chin and having real knockout power.
Everybody gets hit during the course of a fight. The problem is trying to go 12 rounds without getting hit by a man who is walking around with a murder weapon disguised as a right hand. Wilder can afford to make 2, 3, 4 or even more mistakes in a fight and still win, but his opponents can't afford to make any mistake at all.
That right hand is top 5 all time and unlike Foreman and Tyson he has stamina and retains the power till the late rounds, and unlike Shavers he appears to have a chin. His major flaw which he shares to an extent with Shavers (probably due to their late start in boxing) is his lack of boxing skill. However he has the ultimate equalizer. I will say Wilder is a fitter, more athletic version of Shavers. The Black Acorn could KO a charging rhino when he landed. Mind you, Shavers was a much better boxer than Wilder! Fury should be licking his lips after Wilder fight with Ortiz. . Fury has the size, skill and chin to beat Wilder. The big advantage Wilder used to have is his height and reach. Fighters have to be wary, as Wilder can usually hit them before they can hit him. Fury doesnt have to jump through that hurdle. Ortiz is also a southpaw, which worked in Wilder's favor and he still hardly landed any Punch. The straight right is always there when facing a southpaw. Much more than a conventional fighter. I see Fury boxing from the outside, circling to Wilder's left, nullifying that right hand. Just needs to make sure he doesnt trade with him, even if he looks hurt. I am just so confident about Fury chances. |

A40: I respect Fury's heart and skills and also feel he should have nicked the decision vs Wilder but you can't underplay the Champions advantage especially when said Champion put you on the floor twice.
Whether Wilder should be scared or ashamed of not beating a sluggish and overweight Fury is immaterial. Fury is a professional athlete and it's his problem if he chooses not to keep himself in peak mental and physical condition to convincingly win fights. He's 3 years younger and fought almost 20 fights less than Wilder. He has no excuse Fact is there is nothing special about Wilder apart from his freakish KO ability. He is a one trick pony who couldnt lay a glove on a 56 year old fighter until the superb right hand. Wilder is 6 foot 7 with very long arms and he has no jab or any boxing skills whatsoever. He just uses a jab as a range finder for the right hand and other shitty fighters with limited skills and slow reactions end up getting caught. I don't see Wilder getting a chance against Fury if the fight eventually happens. |

A40: Fury has been the one running from Wilder though. Fighting cab men, going to the WWE etc. Remember he is a father of 5 Those distractions are good for Fury. He looked burned out in his last fight, he needed a break from training. The problem with Fury is if hes not training or doing something his mental health suffers. So staying active with wrestling etc plus getting a break from constant boxing training is a perfect solution. Wilder should be scared and ashamed he couldn't beat a sluggish and overweight Fury last time out. |

afrodoc2: Like Wilder said you have to be perfect or near perfect to beat him. If you like be winning all the rounds, it only takes a tap from him for niggas to tap out. Fury will end him come feburary that's even if he's man enough to face him. Wilder won't be lucky like the last time. |

they said ronaldo had knee injuries so what happened? Abi he's now wolverine because he had his opponents main jobs are plumbers and farmers Nothing heals your knee better than playing Lithuania . His last 7 of 10 goals were against Lithuania. He has over 50 goals against nations with less than 5 million people. There are many European teams that are shittt no wonder lukaku has 50goals already and he is just 26. |

spillo1: What Maradona did with Napoli Trumps anything Messi had done with Barcelona and that's the fact. Nobody is saying he took 10woods to win trophies but the team was average and filled with few exciting players. Let me add context.
Serie A at that time was dominant by the north in Juventus, AC Milan and Internazionale. Teams from South of the Italian Peninsula had ever won the Scudetto.
The first season of Maradona at Naples wasn´t disappointing from his side. Maradona had 14 goals, but Maradona didn´t like the coach because the team wasn´t built around him, which ended with Ferlaino firing Rino Marchesi (coach at the time). The replacement had to be approved by Maradona. Maradona was demanding the team to be built around him, which Ottavio want to do and was appointed. The only interesting players Napoli had were Ciro Ferrera, Bruscolotti and an older Bertoni. Ciro Ferrera was the biggest name talent-wise on the Napoli team. Bianchi played a 4-1-2-1-2 formation without wingers in the midfield. This formation was to make it as easiest as possible to pass the ball to Maradona. The second season of Maradona was much better with a new coach and new structure. Napoli ended 3rd this season. Napoli were already seen as one of the favourites going Into the 3rd season to win the league with a maradonna fresh from leading Argentina to the world cup. Napoli was an average team without Diego Maradona and that´s just a fact in 1986-87. Overall there were better teams than Napoli in the league. Inter, Juventus,Roma,AC Milan and even Verona had better teams. For the next 4 seasons before he was banned he led Napoli to 2 league titles, Two 2nd place finishes, Copa italia and Cup winners cup. What has Messi done at Barca that trumps that? Taking an average side to dominate not once but in 4/5 seasons against better teams and filled with better players. Papa Spillo....I like this write up but please leave us alone . |

spillo1: National level there is no May be. Maradonna has a god status in Argentina.
Club level Messi has always enjoyed the luxury of playing with world class players all through his career in a dominant team and in an era that favours attackers. Is winning trophies with the strongest team in a two team league more impressive than what Maradonna did at Napoli? Winning Serie A with Napoli at that time trumps anything Messi has done at club level. If the roles were reversed and Messi had to play in the 80's and early 90's Serie A with Napoli, do you think he could carry them to any title? Maradonna carried a Napoli side that finished 2 spots above relegation the season before he joined to 2 league titles and two 2nd place finish. This was when Serie A was like the Premier league and La Liga Combined. Club level Maradonna is still ahead. You can't blame Messi for choosing to play in a great squad, built to allow him to excel, and then accomplishing all those league titles and champions league. |

spillo1: The person who wrote that is just spreading fallacy. Their is only one Maradonna and no player comes close not even Messi. May be in national level. Club level Messi has achieved and done more than Maradonna. Numerous league and champions league titles. |

spillo1: Juninho was and is the only king-Pin of freekicks. He could take from different angles and sides. Some of his freekicks dipped from heights so ridiculous that it felt like an asteroids hit the goal . Rogerio ceni was a Goal keeper.... LMFAO. When I watched his freekicks on YouTube there were Deadly and with Precision. How about Mihajlovic. He scored 27 Free-Kicks in Serie A (which is still the record as far as I know), but hit the woodwork around 50 times( That's crazy). I'd say the closest rival to Juninho is mihajlovic. both of them could score from anywhere out and for them taking a free-kick was like a penalty. Mihajlovic also scored a hat-trick of free kicks in one game. |
